4 Knights of Columbus St. Mark Council No Men of the Parish - If you are looking for a way to give back for all the blessings Our Lord has given you, please consider joining the Knights of Columbus. As a Catholic men s organization, Knights do God s work by raising money for Parish programs and reaching out to support the needs of the parish and community. From our wheelchair drive to our Christmas Card sale and so much more, the Knights make a difference in people s lives here and all over the world. Please contact Grand Knight - Victor Coppola at Meetings are Every First Thursday of the Month at 7:00PM in the St. Francis Center. The St. Mark Council of Catholic Women meets the second Saturday of each month from September to May. Meetings are held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the cafeteria. Membership is open to all women of the parish, and new members are always welcome. For more information, call Maureen Fulop at or Marge LaViola at The Legion of Mary meets on Wednesday mornings after the 8:00AM Mass in the Chapel where we recite the Rosary and have a short meeting. We will be studying the Gospel of John which provides an account of the seven miracles, the hour of Jesus arrives, and the author passes from sign to reality, as he moves into the discourses in the Upper Room that interpret the meaning of the passion, death, and resurrection narratives that follow. The whole gospel of John is a progressive revelation of the glory of God s only Son, who comes to reveal the Father and then returns in glory to the Father. Every great spiritual tradition has known that in profound stillness the human spirit begins to be aware of its own source. This interior contact with the Life Source is vital for us, because without it we can barely begin to suspect the potential that our life has for us. Please join us for centering prayer this Saturday, October 3rd at 8:45AM in the St. Clare room. The Knights of Columbus Council #4839 of St. Mark and St. Thomas More were invited by Fr. Dan Fink OFM Conv., our Pastor, to coordinate an expanded First Friday Eucharistic Adoration program. Commencing on October 2nd, 2015, and continuing on the First Fridays of the months thereafter, the hour(s) of Eucharist Adoration will be from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Eucharistic Adoration is adoring and honoring the Eucharistic presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us". Eucharistic Adoration provides us the opportunity to slow down our lives and "watch and wait." We remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His graces which flow from the Eucharist. By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, the Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. Women s Circle is accredited to teach them, and they will receive Diplomas upon completion of this program. This Program will be on Mondays, beginning October 5, 2015 for 8 months - until June Time 7:30PM - 9:30PM.
