1 Our Readers Comments Marc Bosquart s Books: A Stumbling Block In 1986, when Marc Bosquart s book, Le Rédempteur et la Co-Rédemptrice, came out, I read it but quite quickly, and it was not until October of this year that I read it again. What splendor! It has to be reread, for this book explains everything, including the Kingdom. It is now that this book is finding its topicality. It is a treasure of great value to possess. Yes, as Father Denis and Marc said at the ceremony of September 12, 2004: Glory be to the Divine Trinity and to the Trinity of the Immaculate in the highest heavens. And peace on earth to men and women of good will! Thank you, Marc, and a hearty thank-you to all those who collaborate in the paper Le Royaume. Lucienne Lacroix Dear Lucienne, The appreciation you sent us in reference to your rereading of Marc Bosquart s second book is rich in meaning and gratitude. The years have passed and all that has been written in the paper and in different publications has prepared us for a better understanding of the mystery of the Co- Redemption. After having set it aside for years, you had the excellent idea of taking up again this book of Marc, a stumbling block by which the Work was judged and turned away from churches in May You now grasp more fully its depths and mystical significance. Marc is more than simply a writer; he is a prophet and is inspired by God. We will convey to him your encouragement. For you who have always followed and served Mary s cause with great fidelity, it is easy to discern the divine action. With the passing of time, the intervention of Providence in it is becoming increasingly evident. Heaven is directing it in all things and circumvents the obstacles thrown up by men. You thank the paper s collaborators, and for that we are appreciative. Thank you for being there. Your faith and your joy are a solace and comfort to us. I found it most interesting to read and to let myself be taught by the sublime direction it contains. 2 Let Us Pray Much The Work of the Lady of All Peoples never asks for money; it concerns itself only with the salvation of souls. Misery exists on all sides. The Church is in its death throes; each day, it is emptier and emptier. A thank-you to the practicing Catholics of America. Many thanks to Mr. Marc Élie. The issue no. 170 of Le Royaume was a good closing to the year 2004 and gives us much to meditate on for this Eucharistic Year of Let us pray much that the Church be filled with adorers. Carminda da Costa Firm Adherence to the Mystery If the authorities of the Church could only open themselves a little to the Mystery that God and the Immaculate want to give the Church in this time that is our time, they would quickly see that neither Marie-Paule nor the Sons and Daughters of Mary nor the members of the Work are seeking to bring in new ideas, but, on the contrary, simply want to be faithful instruments of that Mystery that has been given them to live and bear witness to. Is fidelity to this Mystery tainting our ecclesial communion? For me, my firm adherence to the Mystery of the Co-Redemption does not separate me from our Mother the Church, but, rather, unites me more closely to her. Yes, let us continue to pray: Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Father Gilbert Damphousse The Rescue of Our World Mother, your assignation to the desert makes me think of the forty days and forty nights Our Lord Jesus Christ spent in the desert in order to bring relief to a sick world. We are trying, in spite of our limitations and congenital weaknesses, to accompany you and to live with you, in prayer, the drama our world is living and the difficulty the leaders of our Church are manifestly having to attune themselves to the divine plan for the rescue of our world of today. The calls and the instructions of the Lady of All Peoples do not seem to have been heard. Nevertheless, confident in the powerful intercession of Mary, we resolutely join in the prayer of perpetual adoration that ascends from Spiri-Maria to heaven. We feel in it, under the pen of each of the authors of the articles, the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the presence of Mary. I immediately began viewing them and I forgot to have supper! I even viewed the second one and I finished all of them at about 9:00 p.m. What heavenly moments we are living! 4 A Dreadful Voyage I am in the process of reading Le Dernier Coup... et l héroïque pardon [lit., the last blow... and the heroic pardon], and I must say that the contents of this book are of a great beauty, are of lofty spiritual teaching, and it touches me to the depths of my heart. I am only up to page 85, but everything recounted in these pages poses me a vigorous challenge. What a life! What devotedness! What abandonment! What obedience! Not in vain did God choose that enlightened director who knew so well how to guide the barque that was to take the sea, that sea that even then was showing signs of storms and violent hurricanes. But for thirty-three years our Foundress has traversed these tormented waters, always sailing against the current, encountering numerous reefs hidden by the high waves stirred up by the tempests. The dream of Don Bosco confirms the ending of this dreadful voyage, bringing the crew to a safe harbor between the two columns of security: the Eucharist and the Immaculate. This representation of victory over vicissitudes prefigures what Mary said at Fatima: In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. Pauline Avon The Light Emerges from These Writings I have just finished reading the most recent book Le dernier coup... et l héroïque pardon. I almost devoured it, even to the point of having difficulty putting it aside in order to go to bed. Each page is perfumed with heroic virtue, a charity lived, true love and a pardon that is unconditioned, unequalled, truly heroic. To us, the light that emerges from these enlightened words is a reminder of the Gospel. It is truly a haven of peace and an inestimable treasure of spiritual resources. We are far from Lac-Etchemin, but, if we could, we would be there every day. Héroïque [heroic] The word is not too strong! 5 A Paper That I Like Very Much Le Royaume, a paper that I like very much. For me, it is prayer; I find fulfillment in the articles of our Mother. I am asking her for this year that it be possible for me to go to visit the beautiful chapel of Spiri-Maria a blessed place, a paradise, where there reign the calm, the peace, the beauty, the gentleness of the Most High. Rose-Anne G.-Bureau When the Day of the Great Blow Comes The issue no. 169 of Le Royaume leaves us with impressions difficult to put into words or write because of the emotion aroused. It is so rich and so dense that it would take hours of writing just to sum it up. The Transfiguration of Jesus prepared several apostles for the terrible hours of the Passion and I think that this paper will be, in addition to prayer, a fortification to support us and help us to see clearly, when the day of the great blow comes. To be forewarned is good and very charitable, but that does not prevent the suffering that comes with the shock; the event that is coming always contains its share of surprises and things unforeseen. Nevertheless, it is a valuable aid in helping us to pull ourselves together. Alma Roy To Keep the Faith The marvelous articles in Le Royaume help us to keep the faith. It brings together the letters written by Father Veilleux, as well as those written later by two other Oblates of Mary Immaculate confreres, to Mother Paul-Marie and her replies. Father Veilleux s letters are those in particular that were written after he began working against the Work, and Mother Paul-Marie s replies show us her constant and heroic pardon. 5
