The Thanksgiving Holiday is fast approaching and there are families in need of your help. Please make a donation to a great cause. There will a Sunday School Pancake Breakfast today following services in the Community Center. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and children under 12 are $3.00. Everyone is welcome to help support the Sunday School program. Informal Town Hall Style Meetings: Will be held this Sunday and the next Sunday s after Coffee hour in the Community Center to go over the finances of St. George Cathedral. This Sunday, November 17th Assets and then next Sunday, November 24th WIG (Widely Important Goals). Please join us. Autumn Yard Clean-up: Do you need help to clear your yard of leaves and debris? Want your yard ready for the winter? Let our Scouting groups know! From now until the snow flies, we will be making appointments on Saturday and Sunday to rake/clean yards. Our scouting groups are doing this to support the community. If you need help, Please call Jason Cote ( ) and we will schedule a time for the scouts to come. We will keep appointments open until the snow starts to fly!

MAHALARES SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2013 THE APOSTOLIC READING O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance. Verse: To You, O Lord, have I cried, O my God. The reading is from St. Paul's Letter to the Galatians (2:16-20). Brethren, we know that a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. We have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no one be justified. But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we ourselves were found to be sinners, is Christ then an agent of sin? Certainly not! But if I build up again those things which I tore down, then I prove myself a transgressor. For I through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

MAHALARES SCRIPTURE READINGS FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2013 THE GOSPEL READING: NINTH SUNDAY OF LUKE The reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke (12:16-21). The Lord said this parable: "The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought to himself, `What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?' And he said, `I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.' But God said to him, `Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be? So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." As he said these things, he cried out: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
