For in these last days you sent him to be incarnate from the Virgin Mary, to be the Savior and Redeemer of the world. In him, you have delivered us from evil, and made us worthy to stand before you. Therefore, according to his command, O Father, Celebrant and People: We remember his death, We proclaim his resurrection, We await his coming in glory; The Celebrant continues And we offer our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to you, O Lord of all; presenting to you, from your creation, this bread and this wine. We pray you, gracious God, to send your Holy Spirit upon these gifts that they may be the Sacrament of the Body of Christ and his Blood of the new Covenant. Unite us to your Son in his sacrifice, that we may be acceptable through him, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. In the fullness of time, put all things in subjection under your Christ, and bring us to that heavenly country where, with St. Peter and all your saints, we may enter the everlasting heritage of your sons and daughters; through Jesus Christ our Lord, the firstborn of all creation, the head of the Church, and the author of our salvation. By him, and with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honor and glory is yours, Almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen. THE DISTRIBUTION OF COMMUNION All God s people are welcome to receive the Holy Sacrament, including children. If it is difficult for you to come to the rail, please notify an usher and the Sacrament will be brought to you. The Laying-On-of-Hands for Healing is offered during communion in the side chapel. 6 ABOUT OUR SERVICE To help enrich your worship experience with us, we offer the following suggestions for your guidance: To help us conserve and promote eco-friendly habits, you can now download the Sunday Bulletin on our website. To do so, please visit the Worship & Music tab and click on Sunday Bulletin to download a PDF copy. Alternately, you can just bring your device to church, log onto StPetersChurch-guest, (password episcopal ), and download the PDF before the service. At several points in the service, you will notice some people kneeling, others standing, or seated. All are permissible and you should feel free to do whichever is the most appropriate for you. All God s people are welcome to receive Communion in the Episcopal Church, including children. The ushers will help direct you to the Communion rail. If it is difficult for you to come to the rail, please let an usher know and we will gladly bring Communion to you in your pew. To receive the wafer, cross your hands palm up and the wafer will be placed in your hand. To receive the chalice, lightly steady the cup with your hand and help direct it to your lips. If you do not wish to receive the chalice, simply cross your arms over your chest. If you need a gluten-free wafer, please speak to one of the clergy before the service. Laying on of Hands and Anointing for Healing is offered during the Communion portion of most Sunday services. If you wish to receive unction or to share a special prayer request, please meet a member of the clergy in the Chapel to the right of the Altar. The presence, sounds and activities of children are welcome in our service! In the back of the church are activity packets for children to use in the pews. There is also a rocking chair for parents. A Nursery is also available on the lower level of our Parish Hall from 9:30 11:40 am. Godly Play is our Sunday School for children ages 3 to 5 th grade on Sunday mornings at 9:30am on the lower level of our Parish Hall. If you need assistance with hearing devices, please let a member of the clergy know. If you are going through a difficult time and would like a Stephen Minister, please speak to one of the clergy.
