The retreat to be held at St. Hilary Parish Center is scheduled for this coming Friday, March 9, 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., return home, come back 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. (including 4 p.m. Mass and 5 p.m. dinner). The retreat will be an uplifting, spiritually renewing experience. There will be four main presentations and time for reflection, conversation, and fellowship. The gospel tells us that because of this, many believed in His Name because they saw the signs that He was showing them. If we expect our children to learn our values and beliefs, then they must witness our passion for these values. Just like the people in today s gospel, our children need to see the signs of what we re doing if they are to believe. Children need us to be passionate leaders.

As I was thinking about Father Norm s mention of giving alms during Lent, I thought about the campaign and our need to restore our facilities to sustain places to pray, learn, and live as a vibrant

It dawned on me that, as we each try to discern at what level we can give, if we considered an offering of $1 a day for three years, that would be a gift of just over $1000. For some, that dollar a day may be too much, for others the $1 concept might help frame the level they could reach for.
