3 New Hand-Crafted Classical Confessionals UPDATE Our two new classical confessionals are scheduled to be installed the week of February 5 and will be blessed on Sunday February 11 after the 11:00 AM Healing & Anointing Mass. Hand-crafted from quarter sawn oak with walnut inlay, these spectacular confessionals truly give glory to Our Lord and the life-giving Sacrament of Reconciliation. 4 The Sisters of the Benedictine Order of Perpetual Adoration were the original owners of the grounds today known as Marytown and they lived here until 1978 when the Franciscan order purchased it from them. After the International Eucharistic Congress in 1926, which took place at Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, George Cardinal Mundelein invited the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration from Clyde, Missouri to establish a permanent sanctuary of adoration.
