3 4. Kyaikhtiyo Day Return Trip Pick up hotel and drive to Kyaikhtiyo. The distance from Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo is about 219km and it normally takes about four hours drive to reach. Upon arrival at Kin Pun "base camp" in Kyaikhtiyo, you need to switch to a shuttle open truck car to reach basement of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. This pagoda is a huge boulder completely covered by gold leave sand delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff near the top of Kyaikhtiyo Mountain and one of the most reserved Buddhist Shrines.
