We had a website where we published current news about the issue, raised money to show the film God Loves Uganda, and facilitated conversations at Candler School of Theology, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta, and the Interdenominational Theological Center. We were also interviewed on Rev. Ralph Watkins television program on Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters. Mother s Morning-Mourning, 2007 ( FAMILIES-MARCH-FOR-THE-DEAD-RALLY-OF php). This was a project I conceived, planned, and executed (the day before Mother s Day) with community members to publicly acknowledge the grief of hundreds of mothers who lost their children to gun violence. Pastoral Care and Counseling Professional Experiences Pastoral Counseling Private Practice, Decatur, GA Responsible for individual and couple pastoral counseling. January 2013-Present Skyland Trail, Atlanta, GA March 2013 March 2015 Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor Responsible for leading mindfulness, lovingkindness, and compassion meditation groups. Created a set of compassion cards and a meditation CD for clients. Facilitate 6

7 psychoeducational groups. Provided individual counseling for people with a variety of mental and emotional challenges and illnesses. Planned and facilitated spirituality retreats. Planned and lead community-wide worship services and other events. Managed interns and volunteers. Supported staff and client spiritual growth. Started and co-lead LGBTQ patient group. Care and Counseling Center of Georgia, Decatur, GA September 2009-December 2012 Advanced Resident Pastoral Counselor Responsible for providing pastoral counseling and psychotherapy to patients with a variety of illnesses including depression and anxiety. Conducted spiritual assessments and utilized the DSM-IV for psychiatric assessments and treatment plans. Participated in group processes. Holy Names University, Oakland, CA October 2007 May 2008 Volunteer Chaplain Provided spiritual support for college students. Pathways Home Care and Hospice, Oakland, CA June to October 2006 Spiritual Care Counselor (Chaplain) Provided spiritual support for patients and their family and friends. Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Berkeley, CA Chaplain Resident August 2005 to May 2006 Provided spiritual support for patients on various units. Participated in group processes. Mercy Center, Burlingame, CA Summer 2005 Student and Intern Attended the four-week residential Art of Spiritual Direction Internship (in Christian/Catholic tradition). Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, CA Chaplain Volunteer Spring/Summer 2005 Provided spiritual care for patients and families, especially in the neo-natal intensive care ward. Pathways Home Care & Hospice, Oakland, CA Family Support Volunteer Spring/Summer 2005 Provided on-going visitation to woman with dementia and inability to speak.
