Q17 If you have been treated unfairly, please describe the incident. Answered: 117 Skipped: 186 # Date 1 I feel ignored most of the 3/28/ :17 AM 2 N/A 3/26/2017 6:02 PM 3 I have not been treated unfairly. 3/22/2017 3:27 PM 4 I have not been treated unfairly. 3/22/2017 3:27 PM 5 I get compared to others, I am a female, so most boys in my gym class don't include me like they do to other boys. 3/22/2017 2:05 PM 6 It is just my peers saying stuff, it dosen't really phase me, but I thought I should just say it. 3/22/ :03 AM 7 There was this one when told me to "go back to china." People also make fun of my for my Video Game Obsession. 3/22/2017 8:27 AM 8 People have been mean to me because of what I like and dislike. 3/22/2017 8:21 AM 9 I get singled out by teachers, they ignore me and I feel like my opinion is inferior. 3/21/2017 7:00 PM 10 I have been made fun of because I have a lisp and in the beginning of the year one kid called me fat "as a joke"... 3/21/2017 8:28 AM 11 consumer economics teacher called on every single girl in the class even if they didn't have their hand up but then she never called on any of the boys 3/20/2017 5:55 PM 12 will not describe incident 3/20/2017 1:16 PM 13 Someone found out that I got modeling job offers and she came up to me and said "if you can be a model I can be a supermodel, its nice to know they lowered the standards" 3/20/ :15 PM /20/ :37 AM 15 I have been excluded from groups or "cliques" of girls that are not literal groups because of how I look or act. 3/19/2017 9:04 PM 16 When I get a good grade on something and someone else gets a better score. When I have a bad hair day. 3/17/ :36 AM 17 there is a girl and she used to hit me and slap me and talk down to me but we have both worked it out and we still do have incidents but not often. 3/17/ :18 AM 18 They think my hair is too perfect. 3/17/ :14 AM 19 idk 3/17/ :45 AM 20 i had this one kid say that i have anger issues and adhd 3/17/ :40 AM 21 I was called mean names and made fun of my weight. 3/17/2017 9:09 AM 22 some one called me fat. 3/17/2017 9:06 AM 23 Someone was making fun of me because the book I was reading was 'too easy'. It was described as a book for second graders. 3/17/2017 9:01 AM 24 nope 3/17/2017 8:27 AM 25 People have called me stupid or dumb for some of the things I say or the ideas I have. I don't really mind though, somes I know my ideas are stupid. 26 I've been told from my really good friends like I've known for my whole entire life that kids on their bus, classroom, social media, and etc. that they say nasty things about me and they stand up for me all the and told them to stop even though they don't because those think they're "popular" which to me is stupid of trying to keep the drama and high expectations of themselves to others to make them feel good but hurt others. 27 I feel like I get judged for every little thing that I do. For example my fashion choices or the people I'm friends with. I've also been called retarded for saying hello and good morning to the special needs kids, but that hasn't stopped me from saying good morning to them. They deserve to be welcomed too, their just like anyone else. 3/17/2017 8:20 AM 3/16/ :13 PM 3/16/2017 9:53 PM 18 / 62

28 I remember the when some boy I really don't like considered me as his girlfriend, and told some of his friends about it. I tried to ignore it, but it went way off the line when he was trying to take a picture with me with him during homeroom. I didn't feel so good, and felt like I wasn't comfortable and safe. I think he did that to make fun and tease me around. 29 A substitute referred to me and another peer as "gay", and the shoved a chair at me with force. I also feel that because my mom works at school, I has a higher risk of trouble or blame. 3/16/2017 8:28 PM 3/16/2017 8:22 PM 30 Saying I am not good at sports. 3/16/2017 7:19 PM 31 I was on the bus and kids made fun of me because of my interests, my opinions, and the people I'm friends with. 3/16/2017 6:22 PM 32 I am teased about my hair color and facial features. 3/16/2017 6:09 PM 33 i would not like to say 3/16/ :55 PM 34 I have been called black and made fun of because of that. Also, some people don't treat me the same way because of my color. Lastly, some people think i'm strange because of my religion. 3/16/ :16 PM 35 No 3/16/ :10 PM 36 I have a back injury and I have to carry my backpack around with me and someone made fun of me for that and said that I looked like a kindergartener. 3/16/ :45 AM 37 My friends make fun of me somes cause i'm short. 3/16/ :49 AM 38 I was called a teachers pet and a brownnoser on the bus a few s by one kid. He thought that being smart and liking to read was weird 3/16/ :40 AM 39 The guidance counselor though I was lying to her because how a looked 3/16/ :18 AM 40 n/a 3/16/ :03 AM 41 One in my german class, I heard someone call my name. I am one of two kids in that class with the same name. I look over at the person who called the name and they said, "I'm not talking to you! No one likes you" 3/16/2017 9:29 AM 42 I was called a stupid jew 3/16/2017 9:26 AM 43 Just names 3/16/2017 9:16 AM 44 n/a 3/15/ :35 PM 45 Threatened to be punched by. I have seen and having anal sex at school and at the play, it was GROSS. some girls make out with each other in the girls bathroom. People go around calling ppl crackers, and nighlgers its terrible. 3/15/ :20 PM 46 There are plenty of students at dodd who are very exclusive and like to cyberbully through snapchat. 3/15/2017 9:11 PM 47 I mean like have a bad day because you know you farted and they all laugh at you when it really was not that bad. 3/15/2017 6:52 PM 48 People at lunch were throwing carrots at me and screamed "Pearl harbor bombing" Because I am Asian. 3/15/2017 6:08 PM 49 People make fun of me because I am in advanced classes and in NJHS. Also my group of friends have been bullied constantly by someone who also plays a sport with us, and are being mean to us by saying we are all showoffs. 50 I feel you having privacy is a right, and that it has been taken away to an extreme level. I say this with full understanding of the concept. I can easily say this school year in Dodd has been the worst of my life, scarred forever, thanks for nothing. Hope you liked ruining my life forever! Sorry but I cannot always say nothing and keep everything to myself including my feelings and opinions on topics and issues. 3/15/2017 5:08 PM 3/15/2017 5:07 PM 51 has not happened, brah 3/15/2017 4:10 PM 52 N/A 3/15/ :24 PM 53 there are lots of them 3/15/2017 9:35 AM 54 One of the teacher's think that it so funny when me or a classmate ask this teacher to stop doing something. Once we ask him minutes or seconds later this teacher will keep doing it until we have to yell or get up and walk out. One with me... ex. this teacher did not trim there finger nails and it bothered me, so I told my friends and the teacher heard. So, he ( the teacher) kept sticking his fingers in my face and laughing like i was some game to him. I finally got up and had to yell stop and I was saved by the bell literally. 3/15/2017 9:01 AM 55 I have been called multiple names because of my ethincity. 3/14/2017 8:48 PM 56 Someone has told me that I am so much smarter than them which make me feel like I was arrogant and not part of the group. 3/14/2017 7:54 PM 19 / 62

57 Someone has told me that I am so much smarter than them which made me feel different and not part of the group. 3/14/2017 7:54 PM 58 I have somes gotten judged based on my personality and the kind of person I have chosen to be. I also have somes been judge about being too smart (academically) or being too stupid (non academically). This happens not to often, but somes I also get stared at and judged by certain people everyday and I don't exactly know why. 3/14/2017 7:12 PM 59 People have made rude comments about the way I dress and look 3/14/2017 6:55 PM 60 I was made fun of because I have a different religion from others. 3/14/2017 5:40 PM 61 A girl asked me if I was Asian on the bus because of the way my eyes looked when I smiled. I am not Asian at all. 3/14/2017 1:35 PM 62 n/a 3/14/2017 1:21 PM 63 My brother is a grade above me, and he has a severe case of autism. Last year people somes teased me about being related to him. As for religion, some people assume that just because I believe something different than them, I might be dangerous. Some of my old "friends" would say words in Arabic and make fun of them (in a bad way) but thankfully I have gotten them to stop. 3/14/ :17 AM 64 Small but mean comments 3/14/ :06 AM 65 I was bullied for being different. This kid was 3 s my size and was in 2 of my cores. He would throw stuff at me and call me names and talk about me "behind my back" but just close enough that I could hear. 3/14/ :32 AM 66 I got picked on because I had acne. I don't care that much though. It happens all of the 3/14/ :29 AM 67 Left out, get glares 3/13/ :01 PM 68 When being the only scoring 100 on a quiz/test people will treat like a "genius" and I kind of get annoyed. 3/13/2017 9:42 PM 69 People think of me as a teachers pet somes and that I am smart, so they assume that I'm all about learning. This means that people will pick on me and call me names like "nerd". 3/13/2017 8:33 PM 70 N/A 3/13/2017 7:45 PM 71 Certain teachers will favor the other gender or a classmate will treat me differently because I get better grades or am in a certain club. 3/13/2017 7:15 PM 72 When I showed another student a form to try out for basketball, that student said"asians can't play basketball." 3/13/2017 7:11 PM 73 N/A 3/13/2017 6:53 PM 74 this has only happened once, but people have made rude comments regarding Adolf Hitler and World War II. They have also commented on the Jewish belief in Jesus Christ. I am proudly Jewish and found some of these comments hurtful, rude, and offensive. 75 Somes people would make racist remarks about Asians within earshot. I usually don't care, but somes the remarks are really angering and shallow. 3/13/2017 6:31 PM 3/13/2017 6:12 PM 76 N/A 3/13/2017 6:03 PM 77 People use social media to talk about me because i don't have it - they talk about me right in front of my face 3/13/2017 5:50 PM 78 I have been told to shutup an kill myself because of my opinion on the topic of politics. That im ugly. And That girls belong in the kitchen. 79 Someone was trying to mock me in the hallway by talking in a strange Indian accent which they thought was funny. I did not see who the person was, but I knew that they were mocking to me. 3/13/2017 5:14 PM 3/13/2017 5:00 PM 80 It wasn't an incident it was more like something that happened alot but then it went away 3/13/2017 4:52 PM 81 dont know 3/13/2017 4:47 PM 82 This 8th grader somes makes fun of my race, I don't think he's purposly trying to be mean or anything, they're just being annoying 8th graders. People know that I'm smart, so somes I think they're just being nice to me so they can have good grades. or maybe i'm being sensitive. I don't know. People our age can be pretty confusing. 3/13/2017 4:15 PM 83 NA 3/13/2017 4:08 PM 84 Spread false rumours about me. Told others that I was saying mean things (swearing about them, calling them spoiled, etc.), but I wasn't. 85 People somes discriminate me because I am a girl and underestimate me. I am also small so I am underestimated and made fun of once in a while because I try my hardest to get good grades. 3/13/2017 3:57 PM 3/13/2017 3:21 PM 86 I have not been treated unfairly 3/13/2017 3:01 PM 20 / 62

87 Called me fat. Or gross. 3/13/2017 2:58 PM 88 Somes teachers underestimate me and I just feel somes it is unfair to see a student like this 3/13/2017 2:40 PM 89 been called rude names and have been made fun of by the way i look and talk 3/13/2017 2:39 PM 90 physically pushed out of a chair and taken out of a group project; this effected grade 3/13/2017 2:38 PM 91 A person has treated me like he is in in charge of me. 3/13/2017 2:21 PM 92 People make fun of me because of my height or the kind of clothes I wear 3/13/2017 2:02 PM 93 I have been friends with a group of boys for the past 9 months and kids were making fun of me for this insident. They were calling me a name for being friends with these students. But those group of kids were telling me that it will be ok and dont let these people get to you. And it hasnt happened since. 94 There has never been an exact situation that I remember thoroughly, but somes I have been made fun of because I may not be as skinny as the other girls, but I don't really care anymore because I have learned to be comfortable in my own skin. 3/13/2017 2:01 PM 3/13/2017 1:59 PM 95 It hasn't really happened to me besides just like the usual teasing couple of s 3/13/2017 1:47 PM 96 Somes teachers say sexist things for example "guys are stronger" and let them do certain things because their "men." And an 8th grader said she hates me and would fight me and always looks me up and down if she sees me in the hallway for no reason because i never did anything to her. 97 it was over the summer at a creek with other kids that go to this school, They said inappropriate terms to me and it really made me feel uncomfortable. 98 People have asked me "What are you wearing?" and I am very insecure which doesn't really help my case, but when I'm asked that I usually shake it off because I wear what makes me comfortable, and no one else should bother me about what I feel good about myself in and what I feel comfortable wearing. 3/13/2017 1:46 PM 3/13/2017 1:44 PM 3/13/2017 1:42 PM 99 Girls at school recently spread a rumor that I was a homosexual when I am in fact not. 3/13/2017 1:42 PM 100 I was once accused of doing something that I didn't do because it looked liked I did it. The teacher now because of that incident thinks poorly of me even if I didn't do anything. But besides that, no incident has happened since. 3/13/2017 1:39 PM 101 no 3/13/2017 1:38 PM 102 In class, the teacher said to get a partner. There was an uneven number, so I didn't have one. I went to the teacher and said that she said to class "Who want's to be so and so's partner?" No one raised their hand or said anything. The teacher said to me that I can just join a group. I went to join a group of girls, but they just looked at each other like they didn't want me in their group. 103 "Nigger" "Pick a side" "Fag" "God doesnt exist" "What are you retarted" "Go back to where you come from" "Ugly" All of which are respective to the list above. 3/13/2017 1:38 PM 3/13/2017 1:35 PM 104 None 3/13/2017 1:33 PM 105 ; 3/13/2017 1:23 PM 106 I have been made fun of my eyesight. 3/13/2017 1:18 PM 107 People call me mean names and make fun of me somes 3/13/2017 1:08 PM 108 People make fun of me and say I'm a teacher's pet just because I have good grades. 3/13/2017 1:03 PM People have said "Oh, you're Jewish?" and then stopped talking to me just because of my religion. - A lot of people comment on my academic achievement by saying "Of course you got an A" or "You're too smart for everyone else." I know these comments can be seen as compliments, but I still feel hurt. 3/13/ :58 PM 110 Ive been hurt and ive been called stupid ETC 3/13/ :47 PM 111 N/A 3/13/ :42 PM 112 no thank you 3/13/ :41 PM 113 Prefer not to. 3/13/ :38 PM 114 N/A 3/13/ :35 PM 115 I would rather not. 3/13/ :33 PM 116 I decorated a friend locker and hung up pictures and then these "popular" kids came and took a marker and sribbidle out my face 3/13/ :31 PM 21 / 62

117 I can't say I have... a lot of "mean" or negative comments made are usually joking from what I have heard. 3/13/ :29 PM 22 / 62

Also a lot of people say "are you assuming my gender" and it's not funny because some people don't actually know. 3/21/2017 8:28 AM 9 asking a Chinese kid if he sees the same thing somebody else sees that's not Chinese 3/20/2017 5:55 PM 10 will not describe the incident 3/20/2017 1:16 PM 11 people will make fun of disabled kids walking in the halls or if the person does not have as good of grades 3/20/ :37 AM 12 Somes, people talk about others behind their backs, also giving the people that they talk to bad impressions and ideas. 13 A friend of mine who recently came out as bisexual has been treated in a rude manner and called "gay" by strangers in the hallway as they passed by. I also often hear students gossiping about other students and their outfit, or what they look like. 3/20/ :37 AM 3/19/2017 9:04 PM 14 I have seen people bullying others for their religion, as a joke. 3/17/2017 2:36 PM 15 People talk about others behind there backs about each others appearences. 3/17/2017 1:38 PM 16 The made fun of the persons personality 3/17/ :58 PM 17 When people think something is true but its not. 3/17/ :36 AM 18 well i have seen someone who slaps people 3/17/ :18 AM 19 idk 3/17/ :45 AM 20 i have heard someone call someone names and say they are stupid and they dont look like they do 3/17/ :40 AM 21 Pushing, shoving, and verbal bullying. 3/17/ :11 AM 22 Some people treat others different because they are skinny or have bad grades 3/17/2017 9:48 AM 23 People like to make fun of others looks. 3/17/2017 9:09 AM 24 i have herd things in the hall ways 3/17/2017 9:06 AM 25 people make fun of the way people look 3/17/2017 8:27 AM 26 A lot of s people on my bus get called gay even when there clearly not. 3/17/2017 8:20 AM 27 Cliques 3/17/2017 8:13 AM 28 I could name a lot of incidents but most of the ones I hear is the Ethnicity and Disability. For ethnicity, when we had assigned seats, a kid said, "I'm surrounded by Asian's and I hate that because they'r so weird." or "Oh... The scarf thing around Muslims heads are so stupid!" For Disability, they make fun of them around them by acting like them, hurting their feelings, and putting stress on them which I think is really idiotic of them because if they were in the same situation, then how will they feel? 3/16/ :13 PM 25 / 62

29 I've seen some of my closest friends be targeted and judged/talked down of and it hurts to see my friends get hurt but when I try to stick up for them and protect them people hate on me and target me. I deal with a lot of hate because I stick up for my friends and what I believe is right. 30 I've seen someone somes being treated unfairly just because she learns differently than everyone else. People might also call the girl weird since she makes weird noises, so people mistreated her. 3/16/2017 9:53 PM 3/16/2017 8:28 PM 31 There are many. Others may have distasteful facial features. As far as I know these are the broad descriptions of physical appearances of which I recall some students may have been insulted on, but typically these insults are not shared directly to the student(s) who possess these traits, but rather they are shared between students who think alike. 3/15/2017 6:09 PM 50 There are people in the school calling people jews and other bad names. 3/15/2017 6:08 PM 51 People often make fun of peoples religion and how they go to services, and others peoples ethnicity and sexual orientation 3/15/2017 5:08 PM 52 People making fun of another student due to their weight. 3/15/ :24 PM 53 ugh 3/15/2017 9:35 AM 54 ACADEMIC LEVEL- Some people in my classes do not really learn as fast as some others do and other yell at these people ( really... this is so easy). They did everything together. Finally they broke up because people would yell in their faces all the because of it making fun of it OTHER#2 - On my bus two girls are making up terrible lies about 4 girls on my bus that make them sound like monsters and they didn't do anything. They then had to go to the assistant principal and had a talk but she did not believe a word the girls said. I didn't get in trouble but my heart broke for them. The girls who made up the lies are people who can cry on the spot and things. it's just crazy and unfair. The assistant principal wasn't their... its just wrong. 3/15/2017 9:01 AM 55 Just people talking, and me overhearing... I often hear people talking bad about someones weight or the way they look, which isn't fair. I'm sure that those people are already self conscious enough, but then making them feel even worse? Some kids would die to have the "perfect body", but that is only because other kids put these ideas in their heads that they aren't good enough, or that they are different. 3/13/2017 2:01 PM 3/13/2017 1:59 PM 101 Some people because of just their personality 3/13/2017 1:47 PM 102 I heard a hijab was pulled off of a muslim girl and I thought this was very direspectful that someone would do this. 3/13/2017 1:46 PM 103 my friends at the library after school one day were harassed by other students asking them personal and inappropriate questions. 3/13/2017 1:44 PM 104 people have made fun of a boy who claimed that he was Bi-sexual by calling him a rude word to call someone "gay" 3/13/2017 1:42 PM 105 On Instagram, a group of people were pretending to be friends to a girl with special needs. 57 Q45 One more thing I would like to say: Answered: 113 Skipped: 190 # Date 1 N/A 3/29/2017 3:02 PM 2 The school's students are respectful of other people's differences but not constantly. 3/26/2017 6:02 PM 3 i dont try to not judge others based on skin color because i dont even do ti in the first place 3/22/ :43 AM 4 nope 3/22/ :03 AM 5 School is boring. 3/22/2017 8:27 AM Dodd Middle School is a well maintained and warm-hearted community, with caring teachers that all have different personas, making me feel welcomed and right at home in the school. 8 This school really needs to work on it's punishment system, like a second chance rule and after that you're done, or maybe like a 3 stroke you're out rule. 3/22/2017 8:19 AM 3/22/2017 8:13 AM 3/21/2017 7:00 PM 9 Ithink my science teacher doesn't like me so she does not help me. 3/21/ :56 PM 10 PLease make the teachers teach us 3/21/2017 8:28 AM 11 the economics teacher is the worst and needs to be fired because of racial things having to do with my friend, and plain rude to students and never really helps 3/20/2017 5:55 PM 12 nothing to say 3/20/2017 1:16 PM 13 For question 41, I did not choose yes or no, because the answer is most of the. 3/20/ :37 AM 14 Dodd overall is a physically safe school, but not emotionally, in my opinion, as my friends, probably other students, and I have felt emotionally unsafe in this school only a few s. Otherwise, I enjoy my experience at Dodd Middle School. 3/19/2017 9:04 PM 15 I'd rather be home 3/17/2017 2:36 PM 16 Some kids bully other kids because they feel like they are better than everyone else 3/17/ :58 PM 17 I some parts of this school(bathrooms) are disgusting and should be cleaned more often. 3/17/ :36 AM 18 All of the teachers and Staff at Dodd Middle School are very nice and always care about you. 3/17/ :18 AM 19 Donald Trump 3/17/ :15 AM 20 I don't know 3/17/ :14 AM 21 I've noticed some bullying more throughout the girls at dodd. 3/17/ :53 AM 22 Hello! 3/17/ :45 AM 23 I think there could still be some improvements but we are in a good place right now. 3/17/ :45 AM 24 I think that the environment and kids are safe at Dodd Middle School 3/17/2017 9:37 AM 25 this school makes everyone feel welcome 3/17/2017 9:06 AM 26 nothing 3/17/2017 8:27 AM 57 / 62
