Pastor Tim Wimberly: I'm just thrilled to introduce to you the gentleman that's going to come. Tremendous gift, tremendous friend; a consistent speaker, has been to Living Water multiple times over the years. Has a vested interest here Pastors Mike and Stacey Barker Stacey Barker belongs to Dan Hicks, who's coming to speak to us in just a moment, so he's totally vested here in the simple fact that we've got a great couple in the Barkers. They are our campus pastors at the Century campus. But one of the greatest things, he has a pedigree a mile long that I won't take the time to go over, but I'll tell you a couple things about him that I love the most. Number one: he's been married to the same gal for 40 years, over 40 years, and yeah, you can shout about that, amen and has been involved in various aspects of ministry in our Foursquare family for about the same amount of time, about 40 years, and God is using him in incredible ways. And so it's my privilege to introduce to you who has come to minister to us, Pastor Dan Hicks. Give him a hand, would you? Pastor Dan Hicks: Well hey, good morning. It's great to be here, and really appreciate Jon inviting me to come and be with you. I look forward to always being up here and hanging out with family, and spending time, and being able to be here with you is great. You've got great pastors. Jon and Fawn are just really high on the list in my book, and love them deeply, and thank you Tim and Dana, great being with you guys as well. Mike was here last night. What I said to the people last night is I really was hoping that my being here Mike would somehow come to Jesus, and didn't happen last night, and he's actually, I love Mike and Stacey, and so thankful for the way that you care for them, and they're a tremendous blessing to our family. I want to start with prayer. Been praying for you already, but I just feel like that it's a good thing to just bring everything together at this moment in time under the lordship of Jesus, and that everything else that happens, has happened, will happen, is good, it's important. But this moment in time is really an important moment, and so Jesus, we do that. We come right here, right now, and we thank you for the greatest gift of all, and that is your presence in our lives, in our collective life together. Lord, there's nothing like your presence; there's no one like you. And so we acknowledge that, and we want to take just this moment and invite you, Holy Spirit, to do that work that only you can do. Nobody else here can do your work, and so we take the openness of our hearts, we take the gift of our worship that we've offered to you, we come before you and say, now Lord, would you masterfully work in each one of us, at the depth and the dimension that you know is appropriate for us at this moment in our lives? And that you would take us to that place of your intent. We thank you for it, Lord. In your name we pray, Jesus. Amen. Well hey, it's really, like I said, it's great to be here with you, and I want you to just start with me, and we're going to say something together, okay? I want you to say intentional encounter intentional encounter. That's a really important phrase, because I believe it's a phrase that if you will grab hold of it, and let God do it in you for this next year, that this year, 2015, will be different for you from any other year you've ever known. And if that happens, it'll be different for this Page 1 of 10

congregation than any year that it's ever known. And if that happens in this congregation, then it will be different in this city than any year this city has ever known; intentional encounter. I grew up, as some of you may know, others of you may not, I grew up in church, and I'm glad I did. But I've discovered that that being the case and maybe this is true for you if you've been churched most of your life, all of your life. How many of you have found that there are times that you discover you need to confront things in yourself? I've found that to be true. After a lifetime of walking with the Lord, and honestly, at times struggling in my faith, coupled with the fact that I've grown up in church all of my life, then I've discovered that there are times, perhaps more times than I care to admit, that I'm preoccupied with internal issues. And internal issues, for the sake of this discussion this morning, are those kinds of things that, well, they I said preoccupied. They consume my mind when I think about other people. When I look at other people, I sometimes, because of my upbringing, because of the way that God has worked in my life and cleaned me up, I start thinking about other people, and think, "Boy, they sure need something. They sure need to behave differently. They sure need to keep, you know, themselves pure." And I discover that my mind begins to go down that road of well, I'm watching them, and I'm evaluating what needs to happen to them, or for them, and making sure that they're doing the right things. Now, I may never speak it, but in my mind, I see behaviors of people and things they're doing, and I'm thinking, "Boy, they sure need to change that. They sure need to do that differently." And the passage of Scripture we're going to go to this morning is one of those that, at least to my reading of it, it seems to me it's one of those occasions where Jesus bumped into those kinds of situations with people. People that are thinking about others in ways that well, like I said, they're internal. I don't make it a public thing, but inside, boy, there's judgmental thoughts. There's evaluations that are going on, and it seems like that with some regularity, Jesus bumped into that kind of people when he was here. and it seems like a whole lot of his activity and his effort was to try to readjust that in people. And so that's what we're going to look at this morning, and it really is what I had you say at the beginning. It's an intentional encounter that Jesus has. How many of you remember that passage where Jesus said, "Look, the only things I do are what I see the Father doing. The only things I say are what I hear the Father saying." That sounds intentional to me. That wasn't just kind of wake up and what happens today, but there's an intentionality in Jesus' life. And if he's the model how many of you would agree he's our model? Well, if he's my model, and there's a certain intentionality about his life, then maybe I would be wise to lock into that a little bit, and say, "Where can I become a little bit more intentional?" John chapter 4, if you want to open your Bibles there; it's a familiar passage. And it's the occasion where Jesus and his disciples, they've been down in Jerusalem, and now they're returning to the north part of Israel, which is the area called the Galilee. And they travel by foot, obviously, and they have gone through a region that is called Samaria, and as they've gotten this far in their journey, the Scripture says that Jesus grew tired. Page 2 of 10

Now, that's important to understand. He was human. He was just like you and me, except he was God. But he gave up his prerogative to act like God, so he was fully human, and it says he got tired about the time they arrived at this area near a very famous location called Jacob's well. And so they stopped there to rest, and the disciples, those Christ-followers that were with him, decided to go into town to get some food and bring it back to Jesus, and they would have a bit of a rest and a bit of a break kind of a roadside stop there, you know. And that's where we get into the passage. They've been at this location, and the disciples leave, and while they're gone, a woman comes to draw water out of the well. So she's leaving town, coming out to the well. The disciples are at the well going into town to get water, okay? So we pick up the story in verse number 27 of chapter 4, and it's on the screens; you can follow along. Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?" Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?" They came out of the town and made their way toward him. Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something." But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about." Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?" "My food," Jesus said, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. "Don't you have a saying," he says to his disciples, "Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until the harvest?' I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvest a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying 'one sows and another reaps' is true. I sent you to reap what you not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor." So put ourselves into this scene a little bit. I think it's entirely possible that as the disciples are going into town to get food, that the woman who's coming out of town to the well, it's possible in fact, I would say very likely they passed each other, 'cause there weren't freeways. You know, it wasn't like multiple roads to choose from. You have one road going out to town, and so I think it's possible that the disciples passed right by this woman, and she walked right past them, and apparently, because the Scripture doesn't indicate it, apparently they did not engage this woman. Or any other Samaritan, for that fact, because these were good Jewish boys, and it was strange in the first place that they would even be going through Samaria, because Samaritan people were well, they were halfbreeds, and pure Jews looked down on them. I mean racism is not new; you know, it is old as man. And so they had this social issue, and they would not engage Samaritan people, because they were somehow a little bit less than; they weren't pure Jews. And not only would they not engage Samaritan people, but to be talking to a woman; I mean that was culturally taboo. So I think it's a pretty good chance that when they passed by this Page 3 of 10

woman, they did not engage her at all. But when they return to the well, what do they discover? They find out Jesus is fully engaged in a missional experience with this woman. Now, it's got to blow their mind completely, and work with me on this for just a minute. These are a group of guys, okay? They're walking down the road, and a woman is coming the other direction. They will notice her. And the chances are pretty good when they get back to the well, they're saying, "We saw that woman." And now here she is and Jesus is fully engaged with her in an exciting kind of conversation that's happening. But these guys were well, they're a lot like you and me. Or no, they're a lot like me; I won't put you in the mix. They're clueless absolutely missing the moment. They're preoccupation was, "Did somebody slip him some food already? We brought food out here for him, and he doesn't want the food. We stopped for food, and now he doesn't want food." And so they're totally engaged in what is important for them at the moment. And so using that whole discussion about food, Jesus kind of turns a corner in the conversation, and he tries to begin to describe for them this intentional encounter that he's embroiled in. And he's introducing a moment of opportunity, which I would redefine as a missional moment, and the question is would the disciples get it? Now, it's an amazing thing to me that that question I ask about the disciples I have to ask about me will I get it? In my journey, in my walk, when those moments of opportunity arrive for me, do I get it, or do I miss it? A few days ago, I was putting the final touches, as it were, on this message. I was sitting at Starbuck's, and had my Bible there, and my cup of coffee, and as I'm working, seated right next to me at the table there was a couple of young ladies, young adult women. And you can't help but overhear the conversation, and they were so excited about the new Watchtower materials they had received, and they were so thrilled to be discovering new things within the framework of their religious experience. And if you're not familiar with Watchtower materials, that is material that is utilized by the Jehovah Witnesses. And these two young ladies, fully engaged, fully embroiled, and I mean it was a moment of opportunity, and guess who missed it? The only other guy you're hearing about in the story that was seated next to them. I'm so preoccupied with this message for you that I was missing the opportunity of a possible life transformation for them. Yeah, being preoccupied with a message for you is not a bad thing. I'm glad I do my homework, I do my study. But the moment I missed; it was a missional opportunity. I mean they're already in a spiritual discussion. I don't even have to get them to the spirit side of things. They're already there. All I have to do is somehow graciously ask a leading question and insert myself in the conversation, and who knows where the Holy Spirit was going to take it? But I won't know, because I missed the moment. It went right over my head. I had something more important, I thought, to take care of at that moment than the opportunity of a possible life transformation for them. In this story that we're reading Page 4 of 10

about with Jesus, he's talking with his disciples and he's leading the conversation with them to another place, if you will. And like I said, apparently they never saw the woman, or if they did, they certainly did not engage her or acknowledge her. And what Jesus is trying to help them understand is that they were missing seeing the harvest. They walked right past the harvest, the way that I sat right next to the harvest at Starbuck's, and the harvest was right there. And we read the passage somebody else has labored, somebody else has done the hard work. All I had to do was go in and see if there isn't a possibility of getting a harvest out of that encounter, and I missed it, the way that these guys missed this woman. There's a statement that's going to appear on the screen that really is quite a telling question, and it simply says, "Isn't it amazing what we don't see when we aren't looking!" Let that settle in just a minute. It's amazing what I don't see when I'm not looking. At Starbuck's, I wasn't looking, and so I didn't see it until after the fact and the Holy Spirit dealt with me. In the middle of getting this message ready for you, the Holy Spirit was working me over, saying, "You missed the moment." It's amazing how much I don't see when I'm not looking. What am I not seeing every day? What am I walking right past every moment? What grocery checker, what bank teller, what neighbor every day of my life is a moment of opportunity, but because I'm not looking, I don't see it. Jesus, I think, was and remains pretty passionate about his followers being the kind of people who learn to see from God's perspective. See, one time I referenced it already he said, "I only do what I see the Father doing." He had a perspective that was the Father's, who by the way, the Father's perspective has never changed. It's not like you have to go discover it. It's pretty obvious. God loves people, cares for them always has so I don't have to try to figure God out. All I have to do is somehow get lined up to where I can begin to see things with his eyes. There's another passage in the gospel of Luke that is really quite profound; it's the 7th chapter of Luke's gospel, and it's the occasion where Jesus is invited to go to the home of this guy named Simon, who the Scripture says he was a Pharisee. And before you get too rough on the term Pharisee, just remember that's pretty much like who we are. It's church people; people that are really good at religion. They know all the rules, and they know what is right, what is wrong. And it's like what I talked about to start with, it's that internal stuff I have to deal with, of what I think about others and how they need to behave, or do differently. Well, Jesus was bumping into those kinds of people all the time, and Simon was one of those guys. But Simon was interested in Jesus, same way I am. Don't you love the Lord? I mean how many of you are interested in Jesus? I presume that's true, or you wouldn't be here. And so we have an interest in the Lord, which is good, but sometimes that internal stuff just gets all jumbled up in us and we miss moments. And in Luke chapter 7, Simon says to Jesus, "Hey, I want you to come to my house for dinner," and word gets out that that's happening. Page 5 of 10

And so Jesus is at Simon's house the religious guy and a woman in the community heard that Jesus was there, and this was a woman who the Scripture says was a sinner, and that's not just a Scriptural depiction of her; it's what everybody knew about her. In fact, in the text it says Simon is thinking, with his internal stuff, as Jesus is engaging this woman, it says that Simon was thinking, "If he really knew what kind of woman she was " Simon knew about her; the community knew about her. She had a reputation. How many of you well, I'll answer the question for you. You're all sinners. We are all sinners. Now, here's the good news: most of Olympia doesn't know it or Lacey, or wherever you may be. Everybody knew this woman was a sinner. She couldn't even go anywhere except that she was known, and now she's here, and she is so overwhelmed with her brokenness and her need that she comes to the only person that she can figure out might have some answers for her. And she's weeping, and she's washing his feet, and she's pouring perfume on his feet, and I mean this is a story that is loaded with dynamics, all kinds of things. Jesus and the disciples, Jesus and Simon, Jesus and the woman I mean you can go a number of directions here. But what really nailed me is when you read in verse number 44 Jesus said to Simon, "Do you see this woman?" He didn't say, "Do you see this sinner?" Simon said, "If he knew what kind of woman she was. If he only knew that she was a sinner," and everybody in the room had to have the same opinion, because she was known. But Jesus just cuts through all of that stuff, and he says, "Do you see this woman?" Translated: Starbucks', "Do you see these women?" Did I see that they were people who need Jesus? Mmmmm. I saw they were a couple of young ladies I overheard that were engaged in some conversation about their religious experience, and that was good enough for me. I didn't see the women. Jesus had me sitting there so that I would see them, like he did, and I missed it. And when I read this passage, Simon, the religious guy, who's got all of this stuff going for him, and everybody, doubtless a respectable guy. He's a Pharisee; people looked up to these religious people. They had answers. They had all their internal mechanisms working to where they could give you the good theologies for why this is happening. They had answers for people, but they were missing people. "Simon, do you see this woman?" I am personally becoming more and more alert. Let me re-say that. I'm becoming more and more alarmed at what you and I really see, as Christ-followers, as believers. What do we really see? I've been in the church a long time. I'm a churchman; I observe the church. I watch what the church does. I look at what the church says. I see how the church is involved. And I think more and more and this is why I'm a bit alarmed it seems like the church is real good about causes. We see causes, and we get people engaged in various causes, and I mean any more, with the media, you can see marches happening anywhere and everywhere. Just get a sign and go out there and declare your cause, and some of it even is important religious stuff, but it's a cause. Or maybe we see behaviors. Page 6 of 10

Sometimes behaviors that are offensive to us. Somebody that really assaults our sensitivities morally and we get taken with the behavior of people. We see them as being other than we are, and we're more taken with the other than we are with the person. Jesus sees the person, and frankly, I don't think he cares much about the other, because here's the answer: when the person gets impacted by the power of the love of Jesus in their life, those people somehow come to their senses and begin to take care of their behavior. When the power of the love of Jesus begins to impact a person, the way it impacted me when I was 19 years old, I begin to clean up my act. Nobody had to tell me to quit doing that stuff I was doing, because of the powerful presence of the love of Jesus in my heart accepting me. And I knew that, then I recognized this behavior isn't what I am about, and nobody had to tell me, "Quit doing that, quit doing that," or "Don't go there, quit talking to that person." I didn't have to do that, because something was happening on the inside working its way out. And I think about this, and it really causes me great alarm, because I think I'm probably more insulated from people than I care to admit; that there's something between me and most of the rest of the population, and it's in me. That's why I have to regularly confront myself, and I have to hear this wonderful statement of Jesus, "Do you see that woman?" Do you see that person? Do you see the broken situation? Don't get consumed with the morality of the moment. Don't let that behavior cause you to recoil and pull back. Do you see the person? And if I see the person, then is when this intentional encounter idea becomes something that I need to lock into for my life, particularly as I step into this new year. So this story, back at John chapter 4, with Jesus and the woman at the well, to me, it really is a picture of the strategy of Jesus to connect with others in their situation; that his attempt was to reach somebody who, for lack of a better term, was in that other category. Jesus had a strategy to reach a sinner. The disciples had a strategy to get the food. Dan had the strategy to prepare a sermon. What is your strategy? And then let's bring it into the presence of Jesus, like I did when we started praying. Lord, this is about you and your lordship. What is going on right now in your mind where the Lord is saying, "Now, I want you to bring that into the presence of my strategy, and my strategy is people" all people, everywhere people. Happy people, sad people; good people, bad people; colored people, white people; boy people, girl people I mean you just name it. Jesus said it's all about people. But what we do is we move through life with what is the commonly accepted norms that we understand. Everybody in the room would say, "Yeah, I know God loves people," but boy, do I know that he loves people through me? That's the question. See, I can keep it fairly ambiguous at a macro level God loves people. God is love. But if that really gets down to where it makes a difference, then I have to say, "God is going to love people through me." Through you. But if I don't see the people, if all I see is the behavior, then I'll never get to the person. I missed them altogether. Jesus is trying to get his disciples to see that God accepts people, just as they are, right where they are. He doesn't have a list of cleanup strategies to get them good enough to come sit in our nice chairs. Page 7 of 10

See, we have to really say, "Lord, how am I doing on that side of the ledger to where I accept people right where they're at?" And here's the point will I say, "Holy Spirit, I want to in 2015, let there come some intentionality in my life, so that I can encounter intentionally. That really is the story behind this John 4 message, because early in the passage it says, when it starts introducing it, it says Jesus must needs go through Samaria, the old King James English. Jesus must needs to through Samaria. He had an intentionality about him. He knew there was something that was going to happen. He didn't want to miss the moment. He intentionally went through Samaria, because he knew there was a person who would need the encounter that he was going to bring to them. And the disciples missed it altogether, and so does Dan. So I want to say, "2015, Lord, help this be a year that the word for the year for me is intentionality; that I will intentionally go for this, and the primary task is to move that direction." But I've got myself in this place of this internal stuff I was talking about. It gets in my way, because what I think most of the time is church, and I don't think about kingdom. Now, let me draw a little bit of a contrast for you there. You know how many times Jesus talked about the church, in all of Scripture how many times Jesus talked about the church? Count them: one, two. The first time, in Matthew chapter 16, he said regarding the church, he said, "I will build it." The second time, in Matthew 19, it says, "If you're going to live in it, here's the way you do it: forgive." That's the only time he talks about the church, and the church is so big and important for us, and it is, but what Jesus talked about more than 100 times was the kingdom; the domain of the king. And the king's domain is where I go, because the king is in me, he's in you. So the kingdom is in the grocery store, it's in the gas station, it's in the school, it's in your neighborhood. Wherever you go isn't church I mean you are the church but it's kingdom, and Jesus wants us to get that, that we don't miss this really important difference. You see, my church theology does not do much for people. My church theology, I understand all of those real high-sounding theological terms soteriology, pneumatology, all of that doctrine of the Holy Spirit, the doctrine of salvation that's church theology, and I'll tell you, someone that's drunk and dying on the corner doesn't give a rip about it. They really don't. If they understood it if I talked about it, they don't. What they understand is kingdom theology, because kingdom theology is going to help me recognize that there's a person that needs Jesus. Not my doctrine, but the theology of the King being present in the moment in me is going to make the difference for that person that desperately needs the King. And so I'm a churchman I've already said that. I love the church. I've studied that. I've taught that. I understand it. But what I really want is kingdom theology. I want to begin to make a difference where I'm at, and so it's for that reason that Tuesday night this week, Brenda and I are going to fly home to Los Angeles. Page 8 of 10

We're leaving our kids here, our other daughter and her family, kids are we're leaving them all here. They can stay with the cousins. We're going home. You know why? Because on New Year's Day morning, we're cooking pancakes for our neighborhood, in my driveway, and I've invited all my neighbors in our neighborhood to come and have pancakes in my driveway. Why? Because that's where the King is. And if we can begin to connect with them in some kind of intentional encounter, some missional moment might happen. And so I'm saying let's go home and make pancakes, and so the neighbors are coming to my driveway New Year's Day morning, and it's a missional moment. It's a kingdom way of thinking. And I'm saying, "Lord, I want 2015 to mark my life with that kind of consistency more than anything else, is that I begin to see people around me that are people, instead of others." That are people instead of behaviors; that are people instead of whatever fill in the blank because that's who Jesus sees. That's who Jesus sees, and Lynn and Nancy, who are in their 80s and live right next door to me, and have no room for religion at all which I'm really thankful for which means they might have room for Jesus. Or Armand and Miriam across the street, or Gilbert and Olivia, or Russ and Laurie they're all coming to pancakes. And I'm saying I'm really excited to go and connect with them, because who knows what 2015 might mean for them? Wouldn't it be something if all those people I just mentioned, if somehow I came back here next year, and I were able to say to you that all five of those couples came to Jesus? Wouldn't that be something? Because of pancakes well, no, not because of pancakes, but because of Jesus. Well, there's enough teacher in me that I've got to stop and I've got to go with three points to lead you so that you can live intentionally. I want you to, since you are a missionary Matthew 28 says you are. Since you are a missionary, act like one. That's pure and simple. How many of you love Jesus? How many of you know that he said to you, "Go into all the world?" Not just a Scripture; he said it to you, so act that way. Just go. Number two: I want you to discover your third place. You say, "What is my third place?" Well, your first place is your family. Your second place is your job. Your third place is where you spend most of your time outside of your family and your job. That's where you discover people, where you're spending your time. Now, if your third place is church, it doesn't count. In fact, get rid of that as a third place. Keep coming to church, but don't let that be where you spend most of your time outside of your family, your job. Find out where you are meeting the most people with the most consistency, and lock into that place. God has planted you there so that you can naturally bring others to him. And number three: do what you love to do, but do it intentionally. What do you love to do? Well, do it intentionally. I mean the thing that you love to do is the thing you do the most. Some of you are going to watch the Seahawks this afternoon, and you love doing that. You may have somebody over. Do it intentionally. It's okay if the Seahawks win great but the intentionality of it is that the neighbor across the street who's joining you to watch the game, that you're seeing a person, not just a fan. Page 9 of 10

You're seeing somebody that Jesus is looking at, and you're spending time with him, and you love doing that well, do it with intentionality. Wouldn't it be great to have a Seahawk fan next year that loved Jesus coming to your house? That'd be cool. That'd be nice. So there are all kinds of possibilities. Those are three things I want to leave you with as you step into 2015 with some intentionality. Let's pray together. Lord, I thank you that you really care about all of this stuff. The truth of the matter is you care about it more than we do, and somehow, I would ask that you would help us to learn this year to care about it more. That we could see that person that we walk past every day the way that you see them, and that we won't get hung up on their behavior, what they're saying, how they're acting, but we see the person. And that into this year, that if we would have that kind of intentionality about us, that I believe that becomes an opening for your Holy Spirit to come and do something really profound in transforming the lives of others as well as ours. So I pray for my brothers and sisters here this morning that, Jesus, we would not miss those moments like I did at Starbuck's, but that, Lord Jesus, we would really be very intentional. As you just keep your hearts bowed for a moment, I know that the real grace of this moment is that you respond some way. Whenever God talks to us, it's always good for us to respond. Say, "Yes, Lord," or "I hear you," or "I'm doing that," or "I'm going to be intentional," and you can do that in your own heart; God's listening to you, and you know how to talk to him. So just go ahead and let that be a response point for you. But it could be that you're here and you've never really connected with Jesus in the first place, and if that's the case, then that kind of response is really important so that you can get on this track of moving into the purpose that he has for your life. And if you've never met Jesus, you've already discovered that the purpose of your life might have some missing pieces in it, and I'll tell you that the missing piece is Jesus himself. And I'm going to just pray for anybody in the room that would just simply raise their hand and say, "Yeah, pray for me; I want to receive the Lord." I'm not going to embarrass you. I'm not going to call you down front or anything, but I just want to pray for you, so yeah, I see you back there. Thank you so much for your honesty. And I see you there; I appreciate that honesty. It takes real honesty and boldness to say, "Yeah, I need God," and he really sees you. He sees you as a person, and he doesn't see your behavior, he doesn't see your mistakes; he sees you and he accepts you right where you're at. And so Lord, I thank you for these that have lifted their hands, and that they're really not doing it for me, they're doing it to you, Lord. They're simply saying, "Jesus, I need you in my life." And I pray that, Holy Spirit, you'll do the work that none of us can do; that you'll help them come to that realization, and maybe through help here at the church, people they encounter that will walk them on through that journey into faith; and we believe you for that, Lord, and thank you for it. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Page 10 of 10
