Question 1: Do you know how the Sound Transit 3 ballot initiative will impact the West Seattle peninsula? 10% 33% Have read a lot about the initiative Have read some about the initiative Have heard of some impacts 43% Really wish I knew more 14% Question 2: How knowledgeable are you on the proposed Sound Transit 3 ballot initiative? 5% 11% 17% Very knowledgeable Have some knowledge Have heard of the ballot measure No knowledge of the initiative 67%

Question 3: Are you in favor of or against the Sound Transit 3 ballot initiative? 42% 58% Yes No Comment 0% Question 3: Comments $1,000 a year for 13 years. 30% chance I will be living here 2031 date is ridiculous given West Seattle's skyrocketing growth Don't feel I know enough to say Don't fully understand the initiative dont know enough about it don't know enough about it. Don't know enough to know Against - It increases property and other taxes greatly without end cap at a time when we are going to be faced with a serious tax for education. Will take all the tax flexibility out of the tax base. Seems like very little specifics and controls. Lt Rail not coming for decades. It should be rejected and broken down into smaller chunks. I am in favor because we must begin working on transit solutions now. I may still vote "NO" because I'm feeling overly taxed and dissatisfied with how current transit projects are managed. I don't know enough about it. I don't know enough to make this decision In favor. Question worded funky for Yes/No answer... Need to get up to speed on this before I say yes or no. Needs to happen more quickly Not sure (3 additional comments same as this) Not sure if I know enough to make a decision. Relectionly Reluctantly in favor. Think that we need to be really engaged to make sure that the WS portion is implemented in a smart way still undecided as it will take so long to reach West Seattle The entire ST3 measure is too much money and not enough direct value. My taxes will increase nearly $600 per year for the next 25 years. NOT reasonable. There is no parking here in West Seattle. The YMCA is under construction and the city insisted they put eye appeal parking next to the building. This parking took up at least 10 spaces more then necessary. My guess is to have individuals use the transit systems. My employeess and myself have to play the rotation game with our vehicles just to have parking and not get tickets to come to work. I pay my employees in total of company hours at least 2-3 hours a week to play car shuffle, this takes away from my business

production! Question 3: Comments (continued) This is deceiving. it is not possible to have a yes/no answer for a question that asks if I am in favor or against. no matter the answer I give it can be used however the survey wishes. Undecided We need this as soon as possible to begin to address some of our transportation needs. Yes, I favor the Regional Proposition 1. Sound Transit has learned to bore tunnels and deliver projects early and below estimated cost. Revenue collected by fees and taxes will be ratcheted back as the final bonds are paid off to a level to cover operations and maintenance. Levy will cost property owners $25 / $100,000 ASSESSED property value. yet to be convinced Question 4: How knowledgeable are you on the new City of Seattle Secured Scheduling legislation. 22% 20% 15% Very knowledgeable Have some knowledge Have heard of the legislation No knowledge of legislation 43%

Question 5: Were you in favor or against the Secured Scheduling legislation? 32% In favor Against 68% Question 5: Comments City government has no clue and no business interfering with the voluntary relationship between employer and employee CM Herbold had no interest in hearing the concerns of small, independent businesses throughout this legislative process. 100% bought and sold by Big Labor (UFCW, SEIU). Shameful representation by CM Herbold and our City Council. Don't have a strong opinion. don't know enough about it. don't know enough about it. I am not convinced the guidance the council received was from a statistically significant sample (from Chicago) nor am I convinced there is a larger issue. It is one more step to unionization without representation for workers and just one more thing employers have to contend with and 'document' unnecessarily with over-reaching govermnent oversight. I don't know enough I think there are pros and cons to each side. Havings a set schedule is important. A business however if things are slow and there isnot enough work should not have to pay a person to do nothing. I use to own a restaurant. If the money wasnt coming in the business owner needs to be able to send someone home. It is the nature of many customer service related industries. Labor unions have taken over City Hall N/A n/a need to know more No comment not sure Not sure TEST There are more important local issues for out city council to be addressing right now.

Question 6: How knowledgeable are you about the District Council system? 22% 22% Very knowledgeable Have some knowledge 12% Have heard about the District Council system Have no knowledge 44% Question 7: Are you familiar with the work that the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce does with the Southwest District Council? 25% Knew that the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce was a member of the Southwest District Council 41% Have read about issues that the Southwest District Council has worked on for the West Seattle community Have actually participated in activities with the Southwest District Council 10% 24% Really wish I knew more about what the Southwest District Council does

Question 8: Should the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce continue to advocate the District Council system in Seattle? 42% 58% Yes No Comment 0% Question 8: Comments dont have enough info Don't know enough to know I don't know but I suspect my answer should be "yes". I need to be educated about these things. I need to know more I think so but need more information. I would like to know more. I would think that this would be a good thing, but don't know to what level. I know the various WS community associations are also involved. Is the chamber in sync with these organizations? N/A Need to make sure that our communties voices are being heard loud and clear. No, the City killed the program. Not sure what advocacy will do. WS Chamber should participate in finding new ways to engage with the City and Dept of Neighborhoods, but advocating for a structure that was killed by the Major seems like barking up a wrong tree. Not enough info to make a decision. Not sure (3 Additional comments same as this) Someone needs to take off the gloves and strike back on Mayor Murray. Murray's unilateral action to dismantle the neighborhood council system was a shameless power-grab by the executive. It's time to stop playing nice. Tell us our options Uncertain. What are you doing exactly? Until the new system is started. Whatever works to educate the mayor and city council about how damaging their policies are to the constituents they claim to protect. would like to hear more
