I struggle and stay up late in order to learn. a GPA is a reflection of grade, but I'm in school to learn and test myself. Service: For my fraternity I've put in two years on an eboard position, and traveled the country. I also volunteer with my parents on the First Aid Squad in my town. I serve by helping raise thousands of dollars for philanthropies and other community charities. Integrity: I don't cheat or do bad things :) Pride in the University: Red Hawks is a cool mascot, because it's a bird and birds could fly...and flying is cool! Also, I genuinely enjoy my time here, and the people that work effortlessly to ensure that the students get the best they deserve. Also Emily's super cool. The special quality that I have that may separate me from the other candidates: I can do a cartwheel! The Jimmy V Foundation Doug is energetic. A favorite face of mine. He is a great guy with a good heart. Doug is a hard working, dedicated student leader who can bring humor to any situation he finds himself in. He has grown as a leader within his own organization, Delta Chi, as well as the Greek community as a whole.

2 Brianna Belcastro Representing Sigma Delta Phi Major: Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family, Children and School Settings P-3 and Special Education Minor: Dance I feel as though I am a very outgoing person. I am an extrovert and I think of everyone else before myself. My happiness comes from others. Therefore, if everyone else is happy, then I am happy as well. I am a very organized person. Time management is definitely a skill I possess. The more on my plate, the better my grades will be. Last year I received straight A's and a 3.9 GPA both semesters in addition to a 4.0 in the winter and summer sessions. I truly enjoy helping others, especially children. I have volunteered to tutor at the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton for the past two years. I am also a very honest and moral person. I always go into school with being as honest and myself as possible. This is the same when it comes to others as well. I am not the type of person to lie to a friend or go against any morals I may have nor do I feel I have ever done either of those things. I would also say that I am someone who is very proud of her achievements and who she has become today. I have held many leadership roles as well as involved myself in as much as I could without overloading myself. With that being said, I have an overload of items I have put on my resume and I can say that I am proud of every single one. Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Her leadership, organization, and willingness to express and articulate her opinion was evident. She proved to be caring and empathetic. I have known Brianna for two years now and worked with her on many events and programs through her role in her organization, Sigma Delta Phi, and my positions as the Graduate coordinator for the LGBTQ Center and Office of Greek Life. She has a great work ethic and balances her leadership roles and course load as a student very well. Brianna is always willing to help other organizations and within the past two years has grown tremendously as a student leader on campus

3 Frank Dolan Representing Alpha Chi Rho Major: Television Production and Digital Media When it comes to perceiving myself in a scholastic way, I feel that I am someone who always puts their schoolwork first. I enjoy getting my work done sooner than later, and I always try to stay on track with what is in store for the future of my courses. I have always been a man who likes to serve his community. I feel that it is our duty to help one another when it comes to building an environment for us to live in. It also makes me smile to know that I am creating a positive impact on someone s life. The major thing that separates me from the other candidates is that I am not afraid to get out there and be myself without worrying what people may think of me. I m proud of the man I have become here at Montclair State, and I hope that the students and faculty can recognize that I m always here for my campus. American Cancer Society He has been a mentor, resource and role model to countless residents across campus through his fraternity and is continuing to do so now within his role as a Resident Assistant. Frank is an incredibly compassionate and hard-working individual who takes pride in his roles at Montclair State University and strives to help others do the same. I know that he is hardworking, caring, and truly genuine. The impact that I have seen in our community does not go unnoticed by his peers, co-workers, or even myself. Frank is a true and genuine role model and because of that I believe he is truly deserving of being Homecoming Royalty. Frank is a model student as demonstrated by his character, his pride, and hard work.

4 Julia Funcheon Representing Sigma Sigma Sigma Major: Family Science and Human Development, Concentration in School Settings: K-6 Being a student of Montclair State has shaped me into in young woman I am today. I have become a more confident, outgoing person since beginning my journey at this school 4 years ago. Growing up with Tourette's Syndrome hasn't been easy. I was bullied because of it and suffered through personal obstacles and battles because of it. But, this campus has made me feel so comfortable in who I am. I became involved on campus as soon as possible despite being a commuter. Every year, I set a goal for myself, not just academically but personally: to make sure I am the best version of myself everyday. I have dedicated hundreds of hours of service for many different philanthropic causes and organizations on my own as well as with my sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma. Since attending MSU, I gained so many relationships with my professors, advisors, classmates, and sisters. I take pride in all of my accomplishments throughout the years like making Dean s List last semester. I cannot thank this university, my advisors and professors, and my sisters enough for all they have given me. I am so grateful and honored for this opportunity to run for Homecoming Royalty. From this humbling journey, I feel I can be a voice to those who are struggling with themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally and have those people realize they can do anything they set their mind to. I'm looking forward to give back to MSU as it has done for me! Tourette Association of America I have seen a student who is a dedicated, hardworking, as well as kind-hearted. I have known Julia since she arrived at Montclair State, and find her to be a young lady of integrity, dedication, and compassion who will represent MSU with grace and enthusiasm. I think MSU would be proud to have Julia serve as an ambassador of the ideals the student body and institution represent, and I wholeheartedly support her nomination for Homecoming Royalty.

5 Jackie Lynch Representing Sigma Delta Tau Major: Business Administration: Concentration: Sports, event, tourism marketing Making the decision to transfer to Montclair my sophomore year was not easy. However, in a short amount of time I was able to make Montclair my home. While working towards my bachelor s degree in business I juggled several other responsibilities. I currently am co-president of Unified Sports partnered with Special Olympics, I sit on my organizations (Sigma Delta Tau) E-board, and am Vice President of Recruitment for the National Panhellenic Council. On top of all my leadership commitments, I maintain a 3.75 GPA, volunteer outside of school, and work part-time. Although it always seems as if my plate is full, I always find time to take pride in being a red hawk by attending sporting events and other MSU related functions. A special quality of mine that I am proud of is my efforts in giving back helping others has become second nature to me. I am always searching for new opportunities to volunteer and become something bigger than myself. With my contagious high energy, it has been stress-free adapting to Montclair and I am honored to be nominated for Homecoming Royal. I hope that if I am chosen, I will leave an everlasting impression on the students and community of Montclair State University. Make A Wish Foundation Ms. Lynch has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty and is a role model for women everywhere. Jacqueline Lynch has been an integral part of our team and has elevated the NPC organizations to the next level at Montclair State University. Jacqueline is deeply involved in the campus community. She is an active member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, Co- President of Unified Sports (Special Olympics), and a member of the American Marketing Association. In all of her activities, Jacqueline displays excellent qualities of service and leadership. She is deeply respected by her peers, as they view Jacqueline as a caring and dedicated colleague. Above all, Jacqueline has an abiding love for Montclair State. She is a big fan of the teams, and she displays her affection in various ways including wearing MSU regalia.

6 Victoria Maas Representing Delta Phi Epsilon Major: Family science and human development Hi I am Victoria Maas! I'm Vice President of Recruitment for Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. I am so honored to be nominated for Homecoming Royalty and I would like to tell you about some of the things I do on campus. I am very involved on campus and attend many leadership conferences where I have met many other peers from other organizations. Currently I am student in the Teacher Education Program where I am earning my degree in K-6 and Dance Education. Montclair State has opened various doors for me and I am forever grateful for the opportunities and relationships I have made here. As a kind and friendly Montclair State student, I believe that I am a great representative of Montclair State University! ANAD - The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders Victoria has an exuberance for life that truly makes others around her feel lighter. I am always grateful when I meet a student like Victoria because she is willing to make mistakes and learn from them without letting fear or insecurity get in her way. I have a strong sense that Victoria will accomplish whatever she wants to in life, as she is determined and hardworking; however, what impresses me most about her is her kindness towards others. She never fails to offer an encouraging word or smile to those around her. I know that she is an energetic and polite young woman who would proudly represent Montclair State University. When working in group situations she tends to take on a leadership role. She is able to balance her school work with her extra curricular activities, succeeding in both.

7 Emily Schladebeck Representing RecBoard Major: Vocal Music Education I believe I am the best representative of Montclair State University because I love being a redhawk! On top of taking 19 credits a semester, I have a respectable GPA in the Vocal Music Education program, in which I am the student manager of our elite choir of 70 talented voices. I also am an Area Supervisor at the Department of Campus Recreation overseeing a staff of 30 student leaders. On top of that, I am the president of RecBoard. This volunteer organization strives to give the students of MSU a place where they are always welcome, and I am proud to be involved in it. Although I am a very busy student on campus, I always find a way to give back to the students at MSU through RecBoard. Whether it be our Special Events or community service opportunities, myself and RecBoard always provide and create chances for people to have fun, get involved, and make a difference. Between academics, work, and RecBoard I am viewed as a strong student leader and a welcoming friend. I am proud to represent RecBoard, and I hope to represent Montclair State University! Alzheimer's Association Emily is the best Montclair State University has to offer. She is a leader who teaches by example, who picks up her friends, colleagues, and students when they need her most. Emily is the type of person to whom others gravitate. She is a bright, intelligent, fearless young woman who has done great things for this University and will continue to do so after she graduates by educating and inspiring the young minds of tomorrow. She is the epitome of what it means to be a Montclair State University students. Emily Schladebeck is a top student leader and one of the best individuals at Montclair State University. During her four years at MSU, Emily has taken on numerous leadership roles, including Building Manager and Area Supervisor for the Department of Campus Recreation, as well as president of RecBoard, and Student Manager of Montclair State Singers. Emily has not only excelled in these positions, but has continued to take on more responsibility over the years.

8 Toniann Seals Representing Phi Sigma Sigma Major: Psychology Minor: Criminal Justice & Dance Regardless of how active I am on and off campus, I will always be a student first. I organize my time in a way that I can dedicate myself to all of my commitments while still keeping my classes and career goals as my top priority. I have been able to manage a 3.9 GPA by doing so. Other than participating in the 9/11 and MLK Days of Service, I volunteer my time with the Charles Seller Foundation in Bloomfield, helping sick children with high medical bills. As for MSU pride, I display that through my involvement on campus. I am on the Executive Board of Phi Sigma Sigma, a member of the Montclair State Dance Company, a Resident Assistant, and the last two years I was an Admissions Ambassador as well as a legislator in the Student Government Association. I try to get to know as many people on campus that I can, so others, especially Freshmen, can see a friendly face while walking around our large university. As a leader on campus, I hope my efforts to make MSU a better place is effective and gets us ready for future Red Hawks. Kids in Need Foundation Over the past two years here, it has become apparent that Toniann possesses motivation and drive at Montclair State University to grow personally and professionally by pursuing various leadership positions on campus such as an Ambassador, member of Greek Life, Resident Assistant and Summer Conference Assistant. Toniann is a student whom I believe represents Montclair State University as a positive student leader. Toniann is a returning Resident Assistant that has taken the time to support new Resident Assistants into strong leaders within our community. Students truly look to Toniann for support and guidance. These traits do not go unnoticed by myself and others within the community. Toniann is positive, fun, and inspires others to work hard. To me she is a great example of a true Red Hawk.
