Atheism Agnosticism Conversion Free will Miracle Moral evil Natural evil Numinous Omni-benevolent Omnipotent Omniscient Prayer
Agnosticism is not being sure whether God exists. Atheism is believing that God does not exist. Free will is the idea that human beings are free to make their own choices. Conversion is when your life is changed by giving yourself to God. Moral evil are actions done by humans which cause suffering. Miracle is something which seems to break a law of science and makes you think only God could have done it. Numinous is the feeling of the presence of something greater than you. Natural evil are things which cause suffering but have nothing to do with humans. Omnipotent is the belief that God is all-powerful. Omni-benevolent is the belief that God is all-good. Prayer is an attempt to contact God usually through words. Omniscient is the belief that God knows everything that has happened and everything that is going to happen.
Immortality of the soul Near-death experience Paranormal Reincarnation Resurrection Abortion Sanctity of life Assisted suicide Euthanasia Non-voluntary euthanasia Quality of life Voluntary euthanasia
Near-death experience is when someone about to die has an out-of-body experience. Immorality of the soul is the idea that the soul lives on after the death of the body. Reincarnation is the belief that, after death, souls are reborn in a new body. Paranormal are unexplained things which are thought to have spiritual causes, for example, ghosts, mediums. Abortion is the removal of a foetus from the womb before it can survive. Resurrection is the belief that, after death, the body stays in the grave until the end of the world, when it is raised. Assisted suicide is providing a seriously ill person with the means to commit suicide. Sanctity of life is the belief that life is holy and belongs to God. Non-voluntary euthanasia is ending someone s life painlessly when they are unable to ask, but you have good reason for thinking they would want you to do so. Euthanasia is the painless killing of someone dying from a painful disease. Voluntary euthanasia is ending life painlessly when someone in great pain asks for death. Quality of life is the idea that life must have some benefits for it to be worth living.
Nuclear family Re-constituted family Civil partnership Cohabitation Re- Adultery marriage Faithfulness Contraception Homosexuality Pre-marital sex Procreation Promiscuity
Re-constituted family is where two sets of children (step-brothers and step-sisters) become one family when their divorced parents marry each other. Nuclear family is a mother, father and children living as a unit. Cohabitation is living together without being married. Civil partnership is a legal ceremony giving a homosexual couple the same legal rights as a husband and wife. Adultery is a sexual act between a married person and someone other than their marriage partner. Re-marriage is marrying again after being divorced from a previous marriage. Faithfulness is staying with your marriage partner and having sex only with them. Contraception is intentionally preventing pregnancy from occurring. Pre-marital sex is sex before marriage. Homosexuality is sexual attraction to the same sex. Promiscuity is having sex with a number of partners without commitment. Procreation is making a new life.
Discrimination Prejudice Racism Sexism Community Cohesion Ethnic minority Interfaith marriage Multiethnic society Racial harmony Multi-faith society Religious freedom Religious pluralism
Prejudice is believing some people are inferior or superior without even knowing them. Discrimination is treating people less favourably because of their ethnicity, gender, colour or class. Sexism is discriminating against people because of their gender (being male or female). Racism is the belief that some ethnic groups are superior to others. Ethnic minority is a member of an ethnic group (race) which is much smaller than the majority group. Community cohesion is a common vision and shared sense of belonging for all groups in society. Multi-ethnic society is many different races and cultures living together in one society. Interfaith marriage is the marriage where the husband and wife are from different religions. Racial harmony is different ethnic groups living together peacefully. Multi-faith society is many different religions living together in one society. Religious pluralism is accepting all religions as having an equal right to co-exist. Religious freedom is the right to practice your religion and change your religion.
