Undervisningstidspunkt Undervisningssted Formål See below under each lecture See below under each lecture The course is a part of the Basic Studies at the Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities which has the objective, according to the Study Regulations for the Bachelor Study Programme of 2014 to... "...to contribute to the development of the student s knowledge, competencies and skills as described in Section 11, and to help to ensure that the student: acquires an academic foundation upon which to make a qualified choice of subject modules for the Bachelor programme, minimising the prolongation of studies if the student alters this choice, and acquires the general academic prerequisites for further studies in a Master s programme that will build upon at least one of the two subjects chosen in the subject modules of the Bachelor programme." Undervisningsform Bedømmelseskriterier. Course The aim is that the student is able to acquire the following knowledge, skills, and competencies: Knowledge: Skills: Knowledge of theories, methods, concepts, disciplinary traditions and present discussions within the dimension science and philosophy, cp. the description of the dimension in the appendix to this curriculum. Skills in analyzing, comparing and evaluating problem complexes within the dimension science and philosophy, and relating such problem complexes to the other humanistic dimensions. Competency: Competencies in working independently with problem complexes within the dimension science and philosophy. Eksamensform The course is assessed in a written test which is subject to internal moderation. The test is given by the lecturer as an individual home assignment with a duration of one week. The size of the students essays are given in the course description within a span of 3 10 normal pages of 2400 characters including spaces, not counting lists of contents and references. Essays that deviate from the limitations of size, may be rejected from assessment. A single grade is awarded from the seven-point scale. The examination corresponds to 5 ECTS points
