Stanley Sutton (SS) 4 5 BS: My name is Bill Shiflett, today's date is uh, November the 10th, uh, 2000, the time 6 is approximately 11 :27 AM -- would you state your name for the record please. 7 SW: Shanna Walker. 8 BS: Your address. 9 SW: McClain Road. 10 BS: Telephone number. 11 SW: 234- BS: Okay, if you would um, go back to the conversation we had earlier about when 13 you had a conversation with Josh - and tell me in your own words when this happened, uh, and 14 the best you can remember as what Josh told you about the - uh, the incident with Isaac Dawkins. 15 SW: Okay, um, Joey and Josh were over at my house and um, we were talking and..c everything and they'd asked if we'd heard about um, Isaac -you know that guy, if we knew him 17 and if we'd heard about him getting shot and we said no and I think this was the night after it 18 happened --and um, so we talked about that for a little while you know, that we didn't know him 19 and you know, how bad it was that um, that had happened - and Joey left and uh, Josh stayed there and Josh was drinking and um, he uh, told us that- if Joey got caught that he could be 21 charged with assessory to murder and he told us that like three or four times and I asked him if 22 Joey um, did it and he said no

2 ... ~3 BS: Okay, um, when ya'll were sitting around talking, who actually brought the subject 24 up - I believe you said that one of 'em brought it up about did ya'll hear what happened, about 25 Isaac - is that right/ 26 SW:. Yeah, and I think that wasjosh. 27 BS: That was Josh. 28 SW: Uh-huh. 29 BS: Okay - and was any other details given by Josh or Joey - 30 SW: No. 31 BS: at all? SW: No. 33 BS: Okay - that you can remember? 14 SW: Um-hum, yeah, right. 35 BS: Alright, and when the subject was brought up, how long after that did Joey ss- 36 leave or stay or whatever? 37 c.. SW: He sss- he stayed probably about 10 or 15 minutes after everybody-you know,. 38 we were all talking about it- and then he left. 39 BS: Okay - during that conversation about what everybody was talking about, can you 40 remember what all Josh was saying? 41 SW: Just that um, Jo-- um, Isaac uh, was coming home I think he said down 27 by 42 Floyd College and somebody drove by and shot him while he was driving down the road and they 43 shot him in the head. 44 BS: Okay, that's Josh saying this. 2

3 ,. 5 SW: Um-hum. 46 BS: Alright, did uh, did he say where it happened at? 47 SW: He told us that it happened um, on 27 out near Floyd College. 48. BS: Okay. Alright, and um, did -- did Joey -- did Joey have any - um, any comment at 49 all about when Josh said that? 50 SW: I don't remember Joey ever saying anything about it. 51 BS: Okay, um, did you have anything to say about it or did Lacy have anything to say 52 about it? 53 SW; Um, no I mean we were just talking about how, you know, it was bad that that 54 happened -we didn't know Isaac - I never met him or never even seen him and I'm - I think Lacy SS knows his sister Samantha but you know, that's, alt BS: Okay, and how many times you think that Josh said - that if Joey got caught he 57 could be charged with an assessory to murder - how many times you think he said that? 58 SW: Probably three or four times. 59.c BS: "' 60 saying that? Was it--when he'd say it one time, would-would anybody ask him-why are you 61 SW: Um, yeah, I asked him I said, why -you know, why do you say that Josh did Joey 62 do it and he said, no I'm just upset 'cause Isaac was my friend. 63 BS: Simply because he was a friend doesn't make you a assessory to murder - did you 64 question him when he said that? 65 SW: Well, no - I just you know, besides asking him if Joey did it, that's all I asked. 66 BS: Okay, um, I'm just reviewing my notes, just stand by just a minute. 4 ,7 pretty sure that this conversation at your house on McClain Road between you, Joey and Josh 68 um, took place the night after SW; yeah. 70 BS: Isaac - what - what makes you think that uh - 71 SW; Um, I just - because I - I re-- I'm sure I remember them saying did you hear about 72 what happened to Isaac Dawkins last night. 73 BS: Last night? 74 SW: Yeah. 75 BS: And that was Josh that said that? 76 SW: Yeah. 77 BS: Let me ask you, Lacy said you bought a car from uh, from -js it you that bought "8 a car from Brad Prater? 79 SW; No, it was my sister that bought a car. 80 BS: Your sister? ~1 SW: Uh-huh. v 82 BS: Okay, was that about in the same time? 83 SW; Um, it was in January that she bought the car because I remember her having the 84 car for about a month before she turned BS: 86 SW; 87 BS: 88 SW; Okay. Yeah. Alright. I know it was because when we went to get the car that day uh, they had his 4

5 : 9 funeral at the church that Brad preaches at BS: Right. 91 SW: and he was asking us if we knew Isaac and everything and they - he was talking 92 about how sad the funeral was and everything. 93 BS: So this conversation between you and Josh took place some where right around 94 the point that you got that car - 95 SW; Right. 96 BS: or your sister got the car? 97 SW: Um-hum, sometime in January. 98 BS: Okay. Um, uh, you said on another occasion about a week later that some 99 people came to your house, who was this? 10 SW: It was um, Josh and uh, Joey and Tim Hughes and uh, Matt Owens BS: Okay, and why did they come to your house? 102 SW: Uh, we have a satellite and um, wrestling - what is it, Sunday Nitro or Monday 103 Nitro -- they used to come over and watch wrestling on our TV.. ~ BS: Okay, and um, Matt Owens is a friend of Josh, is that correct? 105 SW: Right 106 BS: Okay, do-- but Matt doesn't run around with Josh much any more, is that correct? 107 SW: That's correct. 108 BS: Alright. Was anything brought up that night about Isaac Dawkins? 109 SW: No, nothing else was ever said. 110 BS: Okay, when um, you said that you and Josh have remained friends since this point 5

6 11 that you had this uh, conversation. 112 SW: Right. 113 BS: Alright, when um, after this conversation, did you and Josh talk anymore about the 114 death of Isaac Au-- Dawkins? 115 SW: Not up until about um, I guess it was a month or six weeks ago when he came 116 down here that day and he was here he said all day um, being questioned about it and _I told him 117 that if Joey had told him anything or he knew anything, that he needed to tell -- tell, you know, 118 ya'll what he knew and he said that he didn't know anything- that's the only other time we've 119 ever talked about it 120 BS: Okay, well I appreciate you talking to us, if anything else comes to your mind 121 about the night of the conversation or anything that Joe-- Jo-Josh tells you pr anybody else, ~2 would you please give us a call? 123 SW: Yes. 124 BS: Okay, alright, I'm on end the interview, the time's approximately 11 :35 AM. 125,r. ~ c 6
