I highly recommend it for adults and youth but it could be something to show the youth groups def initely. To think I used to listen to this stuff back in the mid-80's. I've even been to see some of the performers they show like Dio and Ozzy and Motley Crue. It was just as they show it - dark and sinister and everyone do ing the devil-hand sign as they rocked out. No one realizes the implications of what they're communicating. It's just everyone having a good time - or so they think. The music and drugs are what brought my brother to Satan... 3 One of the thing that amazes me is the fact that when Elvis Presley started to perform, some of the secular radio station s were coming and said that this scandal and perversion and they were breaking the records. And what Elvis was doing, comparing to today's songs, it is almost nothing. And how much the standard of the world has been up there, now how much is down. Now today's 'christian performers' has a lower standards than the world 50 years ago. We really live in th e end days, according to how the bible describes them. My youth pastor used to show the first Hell's Bells. Even though it was sligh tly dated, it still presented a powerful expose about Rock music. The Hell's Bells II videos are nearly as enlightening as t he first. I would wholeheartedly recommend BOTH of these videos to youth, parents and youth pastors. We are arranging a showing of this second video (parts of it) to the University campus nearby. It surely is going to open many eyes and perhaps even get some souls anxious about salvation and God. Really raw, but a great witnessing tool for those that are already immersed in the Rock / Rap culture! The things I appreciate it about it is it doesnt necessarily come against musical styles, as so many do. When that happe ns, they lose me. There just isnt enough Biblical evidence to support the idea that certain musical styles are godly, and c ertain musical styles are not. (I'm sure my opinion on that will spawn much debate, unfortunately) But this video series is very good. Someone needs to make a more updated version tho. ( This site was features by Ray Comfort in Season 2 of WOTM. It goes beyond the traditional heavy metal bands into the likes of Tori Amos and U2. Click on Exposes and you can watch part of each bands expose for free. I am thinking abou t purchasing the dvds. I sent the U2 expose, along with other info on Bono, to a "realvent" Assemblies of God "pastor" in my area who has his c ongregation take communion to U2 songs. 5 Re:, on: 2008/3/25 15:47 It amazes me how everyone considers U2 to be a Christian band. Sure, Bono does a lot of great humanitarian work... bu t so what? So did Mother Teresa, and she never let go of her faith in salvation thru the Catholic Church and the ordinanc es... and sadly died in her sins. She never gave any evidence to relying only on the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the re mission of her sins. Bono doesnt even pretend to live a godly lifestyle. Amazing. In addition to the Hell's Bells and Hell's Bells 2 videos, Reel to Reel Ministries also produces one geared toward rap and "hip hop" music entitled ( All Rapped Up. It is another really good video w/book that covers this often forgotten genre of "music." However, it is also a bit dated ( it came out during the 1990s).
