5 Introduction My journey in the world of Faith started when I watched my parents raise a family with 6 children with confidence, determination and Faith. They appeared not to have on ounce of fear and we never knew that we lacked in any area until we got a little older and our desires became greater. I used to hear my Father teach on Faith and it sounded so yummy. He made you believe that you could do anything if you put your mind to it and kept God first. I had an opportunity to stretch my faith when I fractured my thumb while skating. I was the pianist for our youth choir and we had a special event coming up. The doctor said I needed to have it operated on, however, in my mind that meant that I wouldn t be able to play for my choir and I had to play for my choir. Well I asked my mom if I could believe in Faith and not take the operation. My mother could have said no Robin you re going to take the operation but she believed with me and allowed me to trust God. Needless to say that I played for my choir and I ve never had that thumb operated on and I still play to this day. That was my first experience with exercising my faith. NOW Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. All things are possible to him that believes. We walk by Faith and not by sight. Three scriptures that I held in my heart in my youth and until this day. I invite you to read this ebook and position yourself to stretch your faith. Use your Faith muscles. Build them up and watch Father God move on your behalf. Another scripture that spoke life to me was Faith without works is dead. My Father instilled this in me. I watched him secure a job that he didn t have all of the credentials needed to secure it, however, he went after that job with confidence, boldness and Faith and landed the job. This same Faith was instilled in me. When I went after jobs I always went for a job that was beyond what my credentials were. I could have all the Faith in the world but until I stepped out on

6 my Faith, applied for the job and went on the interview I wouldn t have landed the job. Our parents both were an example of living by faith. We can trust, believe, hope and have Faith, however, unless you mix faith with the word of God and move on it it is dead! Don t just read the insights here, get the revelation and act on them.. Pay close attention to what Father God may be speaking to you. Thank you Mom and Dad for being such great examples of Faith. My grandparents were also great people of Faith. We are richer because of the legacy of Faith in our Family. 7 What are you saying? As you begin your walk of faith it must be founded on the word of God. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So if Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God what should we be doing? Reading the word of God. Getting revelation from the word of God. Meditating on the word of God. There is yet another element that is involved in embracing a lifestyle of Faith and that is confessing the word of God. I m not speaking of a ritual whereby you just repeat God s word over and over, no you must get a revelation of the word of God and from that revelation speak out God s word into your atmosphere. Learn the word, speak the word and work the word. ~ Michael and Robin Tramble My husband and I coined this quote during a time that we were training our congregation on the power of using God s word. There are many references to the importance of knowing the word of God and speaking it out. I don t know how many of you take this serious and understand the power of activating the word of God in your lives. Here are a few foundational scriptures. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12

8 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:10, 11 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 Your words frame your world. What are you saying? Speak life! What are you thinking? I ve often referred to this statement. A thought like action is energy. Positive thoughts render positive energy. Negative thoughts, negative energy. Your subconscious mind is waiting to act on what you speak, think and how you act. What does this have to do with Faith? Faith hears! You can contaminate the signals to faith by your negative talk, negative speech and negative actions. My husband used the metaphor of a Labrador retriever. He said that the Labrador retrieves by nature and you ll often find a Labrador digging in the ground. It s not that it has lost something but rather its nature is to retrieve. He listens and watches. Your actions and your speech are signals to him on what to retrieve next. It would be confusing to tell him to fetch and you don t have anything in your hand or don t throw anything his way.

9 Faith hears, Faith is listening and watching. Your negative speech, thoughts and actions will send a mixed signal and because of this Faith will not move. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. If you want to be a man or woman of God walking and living by Faith you must become Faith-full. Eliminate negativity. Become Faith-full and defuel Fear. What are you thinking? Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

10 An Essential element for sustained empowerment and Success (A personal reflection) What one element is needed for sustained empowerment and success? Faith. You cannot sustain any level of success or empowerment without Faith. Faith is the currency of the believer. To cultivate a lifestyle of Faith you will need to know and understand this, we don t merely use Faith to obtain monetary things, however, it is a way of living. If you desire to advance the Kingdom of God, pursue and live in God s purpose for your life, you must live by Faith. As women it is so important that we embrace the Kingdom life and apply God s principles. Faith will be dormant unless you activate it with God s principles found in His word. I m going to share a personal reflection of my experience with Faith and how it was the glue that held us together for sustained empowerment and success. We received a phone call that our daughter was in the hospital. We were concerned, however, from experience she always returned home after a few. We continued to check on her and learned that she was going on life support. How could this be? What is going on Father God? Is what I asked. We told our church family and we all began to pray. As time went on we knew that we would need to get up there for our daughter.

11 The enemy kept putting in my mind tormenting thoughts such as what if you get up there and it s too late? What are you going to do now, you know they say that they don t always live out a full life. Speaking of those diagnosed with MS. I could have bought the lie and even had a nervous breakdown, however, I began to focus on faith. I began to focus on what God s word said. You see what you focus on expands! We did not need fear to expand. We needed Faith to arise! We finally arrived and I saw my precious one hooked up to the life support. My last view of this picture was when my Grandmother was hooked up and we soon took her off. She stayed with us a few months after that but soon finished her course. I greeted our daughter and retreated to the chair and said this quiet prayer Father God it would be really nice if you allow her to come off of life support before we return home. That was it. Long story short, when the time came for us to go, we arrived in the room. I looked at the monitor and thought her numbers weren t right. I said what happened the numbers dropped and learned that actually they wanted the numbers to drop. Then the nurse said, Have you heard the good news? I said No, what good news? she said We re going to try to remove the tubes today. Lord God, My faithful God! It soon hit me. I recalled that quiet short prayer that I made when I first entered the room. We witnessed them removing the tube and then her transition to eating light foods. What a glorious day. We focused on FAITH! The essential element for sustained empowerment and success. The road ahead wasn t easy but we got through. Our daughter made it through and her Faith was strengthened. She s a trooper and mighty woman of God herself. Even at the rewrite of this we are believing God for breakthrough for our daughter. We were told many times that she will die and were even told any day, but God! We must focus on Faith! We must hold fast to our confession of Faith. We will believe the report of the Lord until the very end.

12 As my Dad always said Do all you can and trust God for the rest. Thank you Daddy. I thank God and once again our parents for the spirit of Faith that was instilled in us. Learn the word, speak the word and work the word. ~ Michael and Robin Tramble Why? Because God is watching over His word to perform it. He won t find the word if you re not putting the word out there and if you re not learning the word you can t speak or work the word. Even so Faith if it hath not works is dead. James 2:17 Above all taking the shield of our armor that should be worn at all times. If you feel like you re being attacked or overwhelmed by life s circumstances, raise up that shield of Faith! Your shield may be a little rusty right now, that s alright shine it up, keep it ready for the fiery darts of the wicked. The word says above all. Should you happen to be without any of your Armor above all don t forget the shield of Faith. Besides, God loves Glory. Say yes to being a Faith Walking, Living Woman for The Glory of God!

13 Faith Scriptures Did you know that when you come into agreement with God that His power is released to answer your prayers when you pray the word? I share these scriptures with you that you may apply them to your daily lives as I have. Hebrews 4:12 says that God's Word is alive and powerful, sharper than a twoedged sword. The Apostle Paul says, the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard it did not combine it with faith. Hebrews 4:2 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:1, 2 For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

14 Greater is He that is within me than He that is in the world.1 John 4:4 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. Luke 7:50 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1, 2 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. I Timothy 6:2 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; Hebrews 10:23 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls. I Peter 1:7-9 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10 whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the Victory that overcomes the world, our faith. I John 5:4

15 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Romans 4:20, 21 The word of God is forever settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89 Be faith-full. Live by faith. Resist the enemies of faith and praise God for the victory! Stay connected and go deeper in your Faith walk.
