2 About this Workshop This Spiritual Wellness workshop teaches all the essentials for keeping your personal energy vibrant and flowing. Throughout this workshop you will learn the proper way to ground, center, shield, how to bring your chakras into balance, and how to keep your aura healthy and clean. You will also learn how to remove any lingering ties from the past that may be holding you back from achieving a life of happiness and personal satisfaction. By incorporating these exercises into your daily routine you will experience feelings of self-confidence, understanding, peace, serenity, and compassion for others. At the same time you will benefit from decreased anxiety, fewer aches and pains, clarity of mind, and improved sleep patterns. This online workshop has been created with you in mind. Its purpose is to assist you in achieving and maintaining Spiritual Wellness. Namaste. 3 The Importance of PEMS and Spiritual Wellness In today s society, there is a perpetual struggle in realizing one s personal goals, family responsibilities, and work obligations. These expectations can push us to the limits and often leave us feeling drained. That s why it is important to honor PEMS. PEMS is an acronym for the four bodies that are represented in holistic health. They are the Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual layers of our being that comprise who we are. We must make a conscious effort to integrate these layers if we are to ever experience wholeness while achieving and maintaining optimal health. Take a moment right now and ask yourself Am I physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually exhausted? Most of us will quickly answer yes to at least one or more of the PEMS model. So, what can we do? A healthy diet, regular exercise, and proper hydration* go a long way for general maintenance but regular spiritual wellness practices teach us how to receive, remind us how to relax, and encourage us to breathe fully and deeply. Also, with the conscientious practice of spiritual wellness troubling thoughts or negative emotions receive healing energy and become transmuted into positive ones. Checking-in is a way of becoming aware of your existing PEMS condition. It also provides an opportunity to release tension from your body, to balance your emotions, and to quiet your mind. Checking-in also increases your ability to receive impressions and messages from the Divine. Grounding utilizes the visualization of tree roots connecting the soles of your feet to the earth s core so that you may release any excess energy such as anxiety, fear or apprehension you may have. Grounding is also a great way to experience the healing power of Mother Earth while restoring your energy and allowing it to flow throughout your body more easily. Centering creates an awareness of the energy flowing throughout your body so that you may focus and utilize it to your advantage. Shielding combines the energy from Mother Earth with the energy of the Universal White Light. This combination strengthens your aura while protecting you from negative energies or influences. At first, it may take some time to learn how to properly check-in, ground, center, and shield. Many people struggle with visualizing and keeping their focus especially if this is something that hasn t been practiced in the past. As with learning any new skill, repetition and intention is the key. The more you practice these methods the easier they will be.

4 Eventually, checking-in, grounding, centering, and shielding will become second nature and only require a few moments of your time. In the meantime you will need to master these skills through practice, practice, practice! * Proper Hydration Water is of major importance to all living things; in some organisms, up to 90% of body weight comes from water. In humans in particular up to 60% of the body is water, the brain is composed of 70% water, and the lungs are nearly 90% water. Think about it. Are the cells in your body holding water that is old and stagnant or are they thriving on the provision of new and fresh water every day? To maintain optimal health it is important to stay hydrated. Make a conscious effort to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day throughout the day. NOTE: For best results, take the time to dictate the following checking-in, grounding, centering, shielding, and progressive relaxation exercises into a voice recorder. While recording, be sure to speak slowly and clearly pausing at the end of each sentence. Once these exercises are recorded using your own voice, they will be imprinted with your personal vibration. Listening to the sound of your own vibratory frequency will resonate deeply with your Higher Self and bring you into an optimal state of awareness. Enjoy!

5 Checking-In With your eyes open, become aware of your present surroundings. Look around and think about what you are seeing. Close your eyes. What are you seeing now or what do you continue to see in your mind s eye? Take a deep breath. Enjoy how good it feels taking this new air into your body. Hold it. Exhale and sigh it all out as loud as you can. Keeping your eyes closed, find a comfortable position. Notice how your body is making contact with the seat beneath you and how your feet are flat to the floor. Beginning at the top of your head, slowly scan through the entire body all the way down to the feet. Notice any areas of tension and release them with each exhale. Pay particular attention to your face, your neck, your shoulders, and your chest. Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed as you let go. Keep scanning the body and notice how your arms and legs feel. Let go of any holding patterns. Let go of any tension. Let go of any resistance. Take a deep breath. Hold it. Sigh it all out. Listen to the sounds going on around you. What do you hear? Turn your attention inward and listen to the sounds inside your mind. Is your mind quiet or busy? If your mind is still, enjoy the peacefulness. If your mind is racing, acknowledge the presence of each thought without judgment. Let your mind be free to wander. Now picture any lingering thought as a colorful fish swimming towards you. Acknowledge the beauty of each fish and then watch them gracefully swim away down a gentle stream of water. They are free. How do you feel right now? What do you feel right now? Acknowledge any emotion you may be having and know that you are safe in doing so. Imagine each emotion is surrounded by a pink bubble of air. Visualize each bubble effortlessly floating from your body. They are free. Take a deep breath. Hold it. Sigh it all out. You are calm and relaxed. Allow yourself to be present in the moment. Just be.

6 Grounding Sit in a comfortable position with your hands on your lap. Imagine a wire pulling you up from the base of your spine through the top of your head to ensure that your spine is straight. This allows energy to flow throughout the body more easily. Close your eyes and through your nose, slowly take a deep breath to the count of five. Pause. Imagine that you are about to expel any excess energy, anxiety, fear, or apprehension that you may have. Now release your breath through your mouth to the count of five. This breath is for the body. Repeat breath. Pause. Release. This breath is for the mind. Repeat breath. Pause. Release. This breath is for the spirit. Next visualize tree roots extending from the soles of your feet. These roots go down through the floor and/or the space beneath you deep into the Earth, attaching to the core of the Earth. Focus on moving any excess energy through this pathway. At the same time, feel this positively transmuted energy of Mother Earth traveling back up the roots healing you and anchoring you to the Earth. You are now grounded. Take a deep breath. Exhale. Centering Imagine a white ball of light far away, deep into the Universe. It is far brighter than the Sun but it does not hurt your eyes. It is calming and comforting. Imagine this light traveling down through space, into the solar system, into the orbit of the earth, into the Earth's atmosphere. Let the light return down through the air, through the roof, through the ceiling, down into the top of your head. Visualize and feel the light flowing throughout your body as energy. Imagine what it sounds like. Feel the energy spread throughout your entire body. Let it fill you completely, finding its way into every single cell, and feel how you are the link between that which is above and that which is below. Gently pull this energy in from your extremities. Gather all the energy in your body to a nice round ball in what you feel is the center of your body. Find this center point within yourself and feel the ball of energy settling there. It is steady and calm. You are steady and calm. You are now centered. Take a deep breath. Exhale. Shielding With the combined energy from Mother Earth travelling up your legs and the energy of the Universal Light travelling down through your Crown, visualize your entire body completely filling with white light from above and below. This white light extends beyond your physical body and forms a protective shield around you and beyond. You are now shielded. Take a deep breath. Exhale. When ready, gently open your eyes.

7 Progressive Relaxation Progressive relaxation is a great way to release stress, tension, and any holding patterns your body may have adopted. This meditation will leave you feeling confident and full of energy. It is also a great way to manage high blood pressure, stress, and anxiety. Practice this meditation at least once a week or as often as you like. Sit comfortably in a chair, with your hands in your lap, and close your eyes. Feel your feet planted into the floor. Sense their weight. Start with your toes, squeeze them together and then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and allow them to melt into the floor. Feel your calves. Sense their weight. Contract the muscles in your calves, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them melting away any tension into the floor. Feel your knees. Sense their weight. Contract the joints and the muscles in your knees, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them melting away any tension into the floor. Feel you upper legs and thighs. Feel their weight. Contract the muscles in the front and back of your thighs, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them melting away any tension into the floor. Feel your buttocks. Sense their weight. Contract the muscles in your buttocks, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them sink into the seat beneath you. Feel your abdomen and chest. Sense your breathing. Contract your abdominal muscles by drawing your navel inwards, squeezing tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously will these muscles to relax. Deepen your breathing slightly, drawing the breath all the way down into your belly, then expanding your ribcage, and finally your upper chest. Feel your abdomen and chest relaxing as you exhale. Feel your hands. Sense their weight. Squeeze your hands into tight fists, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them melting away any tension stored there. Feel your upper arms. Sense their weight. Contract your biceps, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them melting away any tension stored there. Feel your shoulders. Sense their weight. Hunch your shoulders up towards your ears, tighter and tighter, then release. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel them sinking down into a relaxed position. Feel your neck. Sense its weight. Consciously relax it and feel any tension disappearing. Feel your head and skull. Sense the weight of your skull. Consciously relax it and feel any tension disappearing. Feel your face and cheeks. Consciously relax them as you exhale and feel the tension slide off the face.

8 Feel your mouth and jaw. Consciously relax them as you exhale. Pay particular attention to your jaw muscles and unclench them if you need to while gently parting your lips. Feel your mouth and jaw relaxing and any tension melting away. Feel your eyes. Sense if there is tension in your eyes. Sense if you are forcibly closing your eyelids. Consciously relax your eyelids and feel the tension slide off the eyes. Now mentally scan through your body. If you find any place that is still tense, then consciously relax that place by breathing air into it and then letting the tension melt away as you exhale. Deeply relaxing. As I count from five down to zero, each count will represent deep relaxation, and you will feel the body relaxing even more and letting go deeper and deeper and when I reach zero, you will be completely relaxed. Now, FIVE taking a nice deep breath, FOUR exhaling completely, THREE letting go of any tension, TWO letting go, ONE ZERO (snap fingers) COMPETELY RELAXED! Keeping your eyes closed, notice the way new air enters your body and old air leaves your body. Take a moment to enjoy this feeling of relaxation. Listen to the sound of my voice and repeat the following positive affirmations It is safe for me to feel. It is safe for me to know. It is safe for me to see. It is safe for me to hear. It is safe for me to speak. In a moment I am going to begin counting up from one to five, and when I get to five, you will be back in the present, fully alert and ready for the rest of the day... So counting now... ONE, TWO becoming aware of the chair beneath you, feeling your hands and feet, THREE inhaling, exhaling, FOUR getting ready for a big stretch and a smile, coming back to the present, FIVE EYES OPEN, BACK AGAIN, fully alert. And with your eyes open you realize you are experiencing the world differently now, that things have changed for the better... that you have changed for the better... you are more aware, focused and deeply confident.

9 AURAS Since ancient times many cultures have shared a common wisdom of how there is a life force energy present in all living things. The aura is the electro-magnetic energy field or the life force that surrounds you and flows through you. It nurtures and sustains the body, mind, and spirit. Did you know that illness can be in the aura from six months to two years before it reaches a point where it actually shows up in the physical body as pain or disease? If only the physical symptoms are treated you may experience temporary relief of the condition but complete recovery may not occur. That's why it is so important to realize how the body, mind, and spirit must each play a balanced role in an individual's life in order to maintain health and well-being. There are considered to be seven layers to the aura, layered out from the body. Each of these layers gets progressively less dense than the one before, therefore making them harder to see. My studies of these layers have given me personal interpretations and understandings that may differ from others. Gaining your own experience can be accomplished by researching the many books on auras, working with exercises to see and feel aura, and then forming your own interpretations.

10 Ways to Strengthen and Keep a Healthy Aura Grounding, Centering, and Shielding Removing etheric cords and psychic attacks Visualization and Positive Affirmations Meditation and focusing on the breath Reiki Treatments (giving and/or receiving) Reiki Attunements Soaking in a sea salt bath for twenty minutes Sage Smudging Spending time outdoors in nature (fresh air and natural sunlight) Bringing nature indoors (plants, flowers, etc.) Walking uphill Swimming in the ocean Sound therapy (tingshas, singing bowls, tuning forks, chanting, etc.) Listening to comforting and relaxing music (New Age, Classical, etc.) Crystals and healing stones Aromatherapy and essential oils Engaging in regular physical exercise Eating organic foods or foods containing life force energy Avoiding over-indulgence in drugs and alcohol Eliminating negative habits and reducing stress Reducing exposure to electrical appliances and gadgets (especially in bedroom) Reducing exposure to people who drain your energy

11 CHAKRAS Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning vortex or wheel. There are seven major chakras paralleling the spine. Each chakra has certain qualities or associations and corresponds to major organs or large energy centers located within the body.

12 THE SEVEN MAJOR CHAKRAS ROOT CHAKRA (Red) Your first chakra is located at the very base of your spine, and is known as the root or base chakra. This is your grounding chakra - the chakra that connects you to the Earth below your feet. It is connected to the secondary chakras in your feet, and is associated with the adrenal glands. Basic survival and sexual energy is handled in the first chakra, and it can give you sudden bursts of strength and energy when you need it. SACRAL CHAKRA (Orange) Your second chakra is situated just below your navel. It s known as the sacral chakra, and is associated with the gonads or sexual reproductive system. This chakra is identified with your centre of emotions, and with gender identity. This is the place where you may find yourself feeling what others are feeling, or inadvertently picking up other people s issues. SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA (Yellow) Your third chakra is located at your solar plexus, between your navel and sternum - just below your lower ribs. This chakra is associated with the pancreas. This is a powerful chakra, which can control and manipulate any incoming energy. This is also the energy centre in your body which aligns your physical body with your spirit and intellect, and is your centre for self-esteem. HEART CHAKRA (Green) Your fourth chakra is located at your heart, and is associated with the thymus gland. This chakra connects your spirit to your physical body, and allows you to channel love energy both into your body and out into the world. A healthy heart chakra allows one to keep healthy perspective even in the most troubling situations.

13 THE SEVEN MAJOR CHAKRAS (continued) THROAT CHAKRA (Blue) Your fifth chakra is the throat chakra and corresponds to the thyroid gland. This area is the core of expressive communication and making and keeping commitments. This chakra is also the centre for receiving clairaudient information (hearing voices), which allows people to hear psychic truths from seemingly mundane sources. THIRD EYE CHAKRA (Indigo) Your third eye chakra is the sixth chakra and is located just above the bridge of your nose. It is related to your higher mental and intuitive abilities. It is also associated with the pituitary gland, and it is responsible for providing tremendous amounts of psychic information in a naturally clairvoyant manner. CROWN CHAKRA (Violet) Slightly above the top of your head is the seventh chakra known as the crown chakra. This is the chakra which connects your energy body to Spirit, and is where you receive information about your life purpose and spiritual path. The crown chakra is associated with the pineal gland, and it provides you with the highest level of spiritual knowledge - and a deep understanding of whom and what you truly are. WAYS TO STRENGTHEN AND KEEP HEALTHY CHAKRAS Crown Chakra - prayer or meditation. Third Eye Chakra - visualization and lucid dreaming. Throat Chakra - gargling with saltwater or singing. Heart Chakra - push ups, swimming (breast stroke), and hugging yourself. Solar Plexus Chakra - The Twist, hula hooping, and belly dancing. Sacral Chakra - pelvic thrusts. Root Chakra - stomping your feet or marching. Additional ways to strengthen the chakra system overall may include Reiki, Yoga, Meditation, Crystals and Gemstones, Sound Therapy, and Chakra Clearing meditations.

14 SENSING AND WORKING WITH THE AURA AND CHAKRAS Auras and chakras can be sensed intuitively by trusting the knowing feelings or sensations your body, mind, and spirit offer you as a form of feedback. For instance, whenever you have a gut instinct about another person, situation, or an animal - you are utilizing feedback from your Sacral Chakra. Auras and chakras can be scanned physically by passing your hand a few inches away from and around the outline of the body or directly over the location of each chakra. This can be done on yourself or another person. Some people enjoy working with a pendulum when doing this type of work but just know that the pendulum is really only an extension of the sensory proprioceptors in your hand. Auras and chakras can be seen. With practice you may see or visualize the colours of the aura and chakras either with your physical eyes, or by closing your eyes and visually seeing the aura and chakras in your mind s eye. Regardless of the approach you find most comfortable, you are always looking for and noting any changes or variations in the aura or energy field being produced by your subject. There will be times you sense, feel, or see things you may not understand. It is important to trust your instincts and record your findings as this information may make more sense later either to you or the person you are working with. The energy produced by a healthy chakra will spin in a clockwise direction when working from the front of yourself or your subject. When working over the backside or behind yourself or your subject, the energy produced by a healthy chakra will spin in a counter-clockwise direction. CHAKRA CLEARING MEDITATION The guided meditation listed below will clear, balance, and activate your Seven Major Chakras leaving you feeling energized and recharged. Regular chakra meditation can promote and maintain a state of well-being. It is a great way to keep your vital energy centers working optimally which also allows for receiving psychic impressions and messages. 15 Etheric Cords Etheric cords are invisible and hollow tubes that form a connection between individuals on an energetic level. These etheric cord attachments are sometimes created as a result of the ego attempting to control, manipulate, or keep another person from leaving or changing. In this case, ego is equated to fear. Fear is responsible for feelings of loneliness, anger, depression, co-dependency, abuse, addiction, revenge, and other negative emotions such as resentment, or an unwillingness to forgive. Etheric cord attachments can also develop after break-ups, separations, divorces, losing a loved one, job changes, and other life altering events. When we have fear-based attachments to another person or an object, etheric cords are always created and formed. Most of us carry on our day to day activities without realizing we have any etheric cord attachments in place. Therefore, we often experience unexplained illness, chronic pain, or feelings of fatigue that cannot be rationalized. We can have etheric cord attachments to one person or many people. Sometimes we may even form etheric cord attachments to material objects. Regardless, any etheric cord attachment is unhealthy and needs to be severed in order to maintain optimal health and well-being. Etheric cord attachments have nothing to do with love or the healthy part of a relationship. Etheric cord attachments are a result of dysfunction and they actually hinder our personal growth, development, and spiritual evolvement. When etheric cords are left intact, energy is sporadically siphoned between the attachment sites. This always results in an imbalance. One person may feel completely energized while the other feels totally depleted. What needs to be realized is that both parties are interfering with the other s life purpose and creating unnecessary karma. These etheric cord attachments can grow larger as a function of the length and intensity of the connection. That being said, the largest etheric cords are to parents, siblings, children, friends, and other longtime, meaningful relationships. Cutting etheric cords does not mean you are abandoning, neglecting, or divorcing a person; it s actually just the opposite. Cutting etheric cords simply means you are willing to release an unhealthy part of the relationship creating more room for positivity. Loving attachments are beneficial, remain intact, and will never be severed by etheric cord cutting. NOTE: Etheric cords can grow back if any relationship or situation resumes with lingering fear based thoughts, ideas, or emotions and will need to be cut again.

16 Psychic Attacks Throughout our lives interactions occur between family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. On a day to day basis we have many interactions. Whether these interactions are personal, non-personal, casual, face to face, over the phone, in passing on the street or at a public place energy is always being exchanged. These energetic interactions are sometimes accompanied by negative thoughts, emotions, or ideas. When this happens psychic attacks may occur. Most times these attacks happen on a subconscious level. However, there are some people who knowingly send out these energy attacks while intending to do us harm. So what can we do? Cutting Etheric Cords and Removing Psychic Attacks The easiest and fastest way to remove etheric cords and/or psychic attacks is through affirmation and visualization. I prefer to call upon the Archangels. Some people visualize a pair of silver scissors doing the work. After removal and for proper disposal of the etheric cords or psychic attacks, visualize them falling to the ground where they become absorbed by the Earth and transmuted into positive energy. An alternative method is to visualize them being carried into the Universe where they can also be transmuted into positive energy. Use whichever method works best for you. For a general, all purpose clearing, these three affirmations are best repeated at least once every morning (before you get out of bed), at least once throughout your day, and at least once every evening (before you go to sleep) for seven days in a row. Each time you do the affirmations you will notice you feel a little lighter, increased energy, and less physical pain or discomfort. At the end of the seven days you will experience a more noticeable transformation. 17 Anyone and everyone can have etheric cord attachments to others. So it is essential to remember The Importance of PEMS and Spiritual Wellness so you can keep your energy field strong. Make Cutting Etheric Cords and Removing Psychic Attacks part of your daily routine and something you do as often as and whenever you feel necessary. Once you experience the freedom gained by etheric cord cutting you will want to pass this knowledge along to others. Teach your family, friends, and clients how to cut their own etheric cords and remove psychic attacks by sharing the affirmations listed above. Also, as a general reminder regularly practicing Checking-In, Grounding, Centering, and Shielding will keep your aura healthy and strong. A healthy aura serves to prevent etheric cord attachments and psychic attacks from forming and depleting your energy. Spirit Guides Spirit Guides play important roles in our lives. They serve as teachers and assistants. They also aid us in self-discovery by capturing and utilizing our imaginations while unleashing our true potential. Spirit Guides give us incredible avenues of self-expression and awareness. By discovering and working with your Spirit Guide you are creating a bridge to the spiritual world which allows you to receive psychic impressions and guiding messages more clearly. 18 Morning - Opening Prayer of Protection Invoke your guardian angels and ask them to surround you in a beautiful circle of love, light, and healing. You can repeat the same prayer every time or say what you feel guided to say. Intention is the key. Take a few moments and breathe as one with the divine energy that surrounds you. Example of an Opening Prayer I invoke the Light of the Divine. I invite my guides, guardians, spirits and angels to join me. Please surround me with your Love and Light. Please seal and protect me from any negative influences, energies, or entities. I invoke the Light of the Divine. I am clear and perfect channel. Light is my guide. Evening - Closing Prayer of Protection At this time I ask that any energy that is not my own be returned to its rightful owner and any energy that I have passed to others be returned to me. I thank the Divine Creator for being here with me and for giving me guidance. I also thank all Angels, Archangels, and guides for watching over me and for keeping me safe.
