2 WELCOME Priestess in Avalon Avalon is the Land of the Sacred Feminine. Gentle greens, rolling hills and if we re lucky the famous morning mists breathe magic and mystery. Stone circles, sacred wells and 1000 year old trees invoke ancient myths and memories. Allow this land to bring you back to your feminine essence, your priestess self, and to heal and awaken the magic and wisdom of your womb. Step into the lineage of priestesses. Becoming Her Priestess The priestess lineage runs deeply through my veins and this course. After having guided a formal Priestess training for years, I have come to prefer a more subtle path, allowing for even greater depth of spiritual awakening. The path is a combination of inner work, training, transmission, coaching, dedication and grace. The words written above the temple in Delphi are still the core: Know Thyself. 4 MYTHICAL AVALON Avalon The Myth Avalon is the mythical island of priestesses that can only be reached when the mists part. In Glastonbury it is very alive and present. Meet the Goddess here in her nourishing motherly aspect, as untamed womb keeper, as sensual lover or as the dark crone who stands at the crossroads. It is said that the priestesses on her isle came from another time period, when the Goddess was still honored all over the earth. They seem to have stayed far beyond their time. The land evokes a memory of a life in harmony with the land and our inner nature. It is a promise that we can still reach this life, when we are able to part the mists. Avalon is still there and waiting for us. With winding country lanes, ancient wells and stone circles, a gentle climate and these many legends and myths, this land attracts many seekers. Consciously or unconsciously all resonate with the unconditional presence of the feminine and flower in her presence. 3

5 PRACTICALITIES Getting There You travel to Glastonbury, UK. Getting there is safe and easy. By air: Fly to Bristol, then take cab direct to Glastonbury or bus via Bristol and Wells By car: take the M3 or M4 from London By train: Go to Bristol, UK, then take a cab to Glastonbury or bus to Wells, change there to bus 376 to Glastonbury For further details, see the excellent travel suggestions through Google maps>> Transport Most can be walked, but not all. Glastonbury is a small rural town and most is within walking distance. For the stone circle and crop circle we will rent a car, sharing the costs among participants. We like to co-create and ask that participants share in the driving responsibilities. Safety The English countryside is very safe and welcoming country, and inhabitants here are used to shamans, priestesses, druids and all other sorts of spiritual dress and activity. Whether you wander off alone or are with the group, you will expand in this freedom to be the wild sacred being you are and to express all sides of yourself. Money The currency is English pounds, there are several cash machines in High Street and most shops except international debit and credit cards. 4

6 NATURE & SURROUNDINGS Climate In the full summer of August South West England is pleasantly warm, with afternoon temperatures around 20 to 28 degrees Celsius. Nights cool off but never get coldexcept when you stay out on top of the windy Tor, as we plan to do one special night! There can be morning fogs and afternoon showers, but usually the sun breaks through in between, leading to colorful rainbows. Bring an umbrella, sturdy shoes or boots, some warm woolen sweaters or fleeces and a raincoat and you ll come to love and enjoy this romantic corner of the earth. Surroundings Shekinashram is perched above the town of Glastonbury, on a powerful leyline going from the Abbey to Stonehenge. Adjacent is a kissing gate leading into juicy meadows with public footpaths, taking you right up to the Tor in just under 20 minutes- fifteen for those with a good condition. High Street with the mecca of small local spiritual shops is just round the corner, and there s an excellent health food shop only 5 minutes down High Street. Famous power places like Chalice Well and White Spring are all within easy walking distance. Eating Out & Lounging There s many lovely organic cafés around with the kind of people you re wanting to meet... but expect synchronicities everywhere, and people also hang out around the nature sites with take-out drinks or water bottes. Spiritual Shopping Glastonbury is a mecca of small local spiritual shops, with people sharing what has meaning to them on their path. Goddess jewelry, witchcraft attributes, second hand clothes, fancy goddess dresses, handmade incenses, crystals and books, everything is here. Do have a look at the second hand bookshops with a score of out of print inspiring books. 5

7 SITES - GLASTONBURY Chalice Well Filled with energy and symbology of Morgaine, Merlin and Arthur, Chalice Well opens the heart and keeps calling you back. The best known sacred well of England, this well attracts tens of thousands. White Spring Filled with mystery and lighted only with candles the sturdy walls of White Spring building houses an underground spring. A bath in the ice cold waters is a powerful healing experience, especially when done in ritual context. The place has amazing acoustics and there is often spontaneous chanting, toning and drumming happening. Tor The Tor is the hill peaking the island of Glastonbury surroundings, and it is also the crossing point of many of the most powerful leylines of Europe. The Bovis value, a measure for the spiritual energy, is extremely high and any magic done on top of the hill will carry far and deep. The most auspicious moment is sunrise, but people literally go up at all hours of day and night. Goddess temple A very special place in Glastonbury is the Goddess temple. Open daily 12-4 pm to all, it is a haven of Goddess energy and inspiration. You find it at the bottom of High Street. 6

8 OTHER SITES Crop Circle Crop circles open you to cosmic consciousness, with the contrast of stark geometric design and living wheat and earth. A perfect place for a ritual to open your crown chakra and higher connections. Stone Circle Stone circles transport you straight back to ancient times, and to the essence of who you are. Whether we visit well known Avebury or lesser known circles hidden in the Somerset countryside, there is no better way to tap back to your wild and sacred roots. Gog and Magog Still within walking distance of Glastonbury, Gog and Magog are two giant and ancient oak trees, probably over 1,000 years old. It is a portal of life and death, held within the sweet embrace of the Goddess. A gentle yet powerful place for healing. 7

9 ACCOMMODATION Accommodation We stay at the sweet Shekinashram, a wonderful place staffed by volunteers exploring Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of service. It s an open-minded place combining an attitude of unconditional service with fun and a sense of community. Don t expect your 4 star luxury, but do count on a warm welcome, meals prepared with love from the mostly organic foods, and real human connections. The garden is like a mini- Chalice Well, and a blessing in itself. We stay in rooms with 2 or 3 persons, and mostly with shared facilities. Meditations start at 7 am. There is no meat, alcohol, shoes or dairy products in the ashram, and to support the ashram life you are asked to be silent after 10 pm. Our Temples Our morning sessions will usually be in the temple room of Shekisnashram. A sacred and welcoming space where many meditations are done daily. Afternoon sessions are usually in nature, the greatest of all temples. 8

10 PROGRAM StartUp Session Upon booking I offer you a personal startup session through the zoom or skype platform. This is a powerful experience where you hone in on your life s mission and how you can get the most benefit from this training. You receive a 2-4 pages written report that you will bring to the training. Day Rhythm We will start the day with an early morning meditation. Typically, after breakfast we enter the indoor temple space with a welcome ceremony prepared the day before by Klara and two volunteers. Holding space in these rituals is a very empowering experience. In the temple there can be dance, coaching, teaching, sharing and meditation. In the afternoons we will hold a ritual on a special place on the island. From around 4 pm on you are free to explore, rest, connect, write and dine. If you re part of the welcoming team for the day after, you ll spend some time with Klara in small group getting hands on learning on guiding ritual from an expert. Morning Meditations There are some wonderful options for morning meditations before breakfast: walk up the Tor to see the sun rise, dwell in the meadows, sit under an ancient tree, or join in kirtan. Kirstan is singing and meditation and is offered by the ashram from 7 till 8.30 am, and you are welcome to join. Eating Breakfast is included and is a lovely affair in the haven of the ashram. For lunch, on most days we will have a quick potluck snack at the ashram around noon (fee not included). For dinner all options are open. On some days we will ask the ashram to prepare a light, healthy and delicious dinner for us (price not included).you can buy good foods in the excellent Health Food, or more affordable at the Co-op. 9

12 WHAT TO EXPECT Personal Guidance The group size varies between 8 and 16, and we do limit the group at this number to safeguard personal guidance and space. Collective Healing Rituals Klara has an amazing talent to raise the energy for the collective healing rituals, and being in one of these will change you forever, as well as giving you a totally new understanding of life and your place in it. Process Work and Coaching In the process work you have an opportunity to clear old energy patterns. It is profound and transformative and will allow you to act less from ego and more from soul. Evolutionary Relationships Let s show up with more than our ego. Read the MANIFESTO at the end and get inspired to be part of this sisterhood that will be happening. Sisterhood Under Klara s guidance the group becomes a true sisterhood, where we hold space for each other. Bonds are formed for life, and the experience of this level of group spirit is a big treasure and inspiration. 11

13 5 13 AUGUST Solar Alignment & Sacred Marriage Avalon is steeped in the love between priestess Morgaine and King Arthur, and around the solar alignments of the sunrise with the Tor this is especially potent. This happens every year at Beltaine, may 1 st, and August 10 th. Our program is set to experience these energies to the fullest, with 10 th August near the middle of our retreat. the sacred marriage night of Priestess Morgaine and King Arthur reaches deep into your bones. A perfect setting to dedicate your body as a Temple of the Goddess. 12

14 17-25 AUGUST The Rite of the Womb The Rite of the Womb is the 13 th Rite of the Munay-Ki, and it s travelling like a wave around the globe. It s awesome to experience this wave of healing. It is joining women and men from different traditions in our determination to become more whole and connected, and to honor the sacred feminine. This creates an unbelievable strong energy field- and you feel that tingling inside of you when you receive the Rite. It is my privilege to bring this Rite to you in the White Spring, an underground well in Avalon long associated with the womb and the Sacred Feminine. Enacting this Rite in this power spot of the Divine Feminine will evoke strong energies, radiating out through the leylines all over the world. It will be much more than a personal healing, it will have global resonances- and it will give you a deep experience of being Her priestess. Healing the womb and tapping into her magic and wisdom will be a theme throughout this journey, preparing us all to stand there in that moment at the Well- and hold the energies. Once you received the Rite of the Womb, you are invited to pass it on to the women and men in your community. This deep experience in Avalon will hold you every time you stand there to invoke the lineage, and will help you to create and hold a deep sacred space in which everything can be contained and deep healing can happen. Your rites will create powerful shifts and lasting memories of beauty and sacredness. 13
