7 Opening Remarks Congratulations!!!! If you have chosen to read this book it is most likely because you deeply desire to realize an optimal state of spiritual, mental, emotional and/or physical health and wellness and I couldn t agree more! For that reason, I am so excited that you have boldly taken this step toward doing just that! I know that you will be hugely successful on your journey to wellness and the affirmations contained in this book will absolutely assist you to that end. Affirmations are truly a most wonderful gift from the universe. Words have power and there is even more power in your reading, reciting, listening to and/or meditating with words of power such as affirmations. Affirmations reshape and retrain the mind, which in turn change your belief system. As you have probably heard one time or another during the course of your lifetime the mind is one of the most powerful things in existence. The mind controls your belief system, which in turn controls your perception which appears to you as reality. Ultimately, so often your reality is so dismal because you harbor and give life to the most debilitating beliefs about your health. You wander aimlessly through each day expecting ill-health. You go to 6

8 the doctor expecting to hear the worst diagnosis. You refrain from enjoying life because you fear the worst. For this reason practices like affirmations are key in changing such beliefs. Affirmations are a way to convince the mind of the truth of the matter, which is that you have the power to realize a perfect state of health. You need only be open to receive such a truth and affirmations can be used to break down the mental barriers that prevent you from doing so. Moreover, affirmations will feed you thoughts that better serve you, that heal you and surround in the bliss and wonderment of wellness Optimal health is yours. Innately you are the epitome of good health. The best of who you are is healthy so any thoughts to the contrary are without a doubt false. Thus, reading this book of affirmations will further demonstrate this point. The end result will be a changed belief system and positive thoughts about your wellness, which will put you on the path to an improved state of being in good health, wellness, joy and happiness. With that said, read these affirmations over and over again. Read at least 10 to 20 of them a day and really become one with each word. In time you will realize a change for the better in your 7
