2 The Superconscious Mind Who Are You In Your Highest Reality? by Dr. Puja Shah. Across the world, many of us have experienced moments of that intense awareness. Almost as if time and space have come to a standstill. Can you recall a moment like that? Here s an example: You get this idea that comes to you from some other place, far beyond anything you could imagine or think of. Thousands of miles away, someone else you know has that idea, too. You find out it was on the same day, the same time. Or perhaps you reach a conclusion in the morning that your spouse has also reached that same moment, both of you finding out the similarity hours later. These peak experiences allow us to glimpse the central reality of our existence. This is what superconsciousness is about. It allows us to ask ourselves: Who Are You In Your Highest Reality? This is different than our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is almost like a huge flash drive. It s used to store the programs and data that your computer needs to operate with. Your conscious mind then acts as the processor on this computer which retrieves the programs and data and processes them to operate your body. The superconscious mind, however, is not necessarily as focused on the body...it is beyond that. It actually exists at a level extending beyond our space time continuum. 2

3 Come back to the computer...superconsciousness is almost like the internet, which enables us to connect to every other computer in the world and the people using those computers. But with the actual superconscious connection we do not need any other technology other than what we are born with. We are born with a true intuitive nature that we can thrive in. Super successful Sir Richard Branson once said, I rely far more on gut instinct than researching huge amounts of statistics. It s from this place of intuition that you can access the creativity you need for attaining your truest purpose. Through tapping into our superconsciousness, it is also possible for us to connect to every other mind in the world. It s just how we tap in is the question, (more on that later). In The Divine Matrix Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief author Gregg Braden states: The existence of a primal web of energy that connects our bodies, the world, and everything in the universe opens the door to a powerful and mysterious possibility, and suggests that we may be much more than simply observers passing through a brief moment of time in a creation that already exists. Even Albert Einstein shared his belief that humans are essentially passive observers living in a universe already in place, one in which we seem to have little influence: Out yonder there was this huge world which exists independently of us human beings and which stands before us like a great, eternal riddle, at least partially accessible to our inspection and thinking. It is part of us that exists before we were even born...the higher self, or your current higher reality. It is essentially the answer to that question: who you are in that highest reality. 3

4 In the modern world, it is quite easy to detach from this connection. One can often feel like the world is working against him or her. Feeling lost, aimless and stuck, it s where depression seeps in and invades our source of being. It s almost like being on...another plane of existence. It s these very realities that can be visioned as planes of existence. In Chapter seven titled Dhyana and Samadhi, of the compelling book Raja Yoga, Swami Vivekananda describes these different planes of existence. He writes, When I eat food I do it consciously, when I assimilate it I do it unconsciously: when the food is manufactured into blood, it is done unconsciously: when out of the blood all the different parts of my body are strengthened: it is done unconsciously. And yet it I who am doing all this; there can not be twenty people in this one body. How do I know that I do it, and nobody else? It may be urged that my business is only too eat and assimilate the food, and that somebody else does the strengthening of the body by the food for me. That cannot be; because it can be demonstrated that almost every action at which we are now unconscious can be brought up to the plane of consciousness. The heart is beating apparently without our control; none of us can control the heart; it goes on it's own way. But by practice men can bring even the heart under control, until it will just beat at will, slowly or quickly, or almost stop. Nearly every part of the body can be brought under control. What does this show? It shows that we also perform the functions, which are beneath consciousness, only we are performing them unconsciously. So from that, we can see that we have two planes in which the human mind can work. The conscious plane, where all the work done is always accompanied by I. Then there is the unconscious plane, where the work is not accompanied by that same feeling of I. There is no ego. But there s a higher plane that the mind works at. It goes beyond consciousness. When the mind goes beyond the plane of selfconsciousness or the idea of I... the mind, one, actually experiences super consciousness or as Swami Vivekananda calls, samadhi. 4

5 So how can you get to this samadhi? How can we tap into our superconscious mind? In Swami Kriyananda s book, Awaken to Superconsciousness, Kriyananda describes meditation as simply the most meaningful activity in my life - indeed, the most meaningful activity I can imagine. Since superconsciousness is that level of awareness where we experience when our mind in a calm and uplifted state, it is no wonder meditation is the gateway to that plane of being. The key though is making sure you meditate deeply and consistently. Tools like the short and powerful guided meditations you'll find in our Deep Dive Meditation Pack are a great way to achieve this, even if you've never meditated a day in your life. Then, as you meditate more and more, you will begin to see less inner clutter, the silencing of that mind chatter, the lifting of blocks to attain a clear superconscious mind state of existence. In the visualization exercises that activate the ancient chakra system in our Project Yourself course, this reality becomes easily accessible. It s.who you are at your highest reality. Like the superhero within that is waiting to fly out...cape and all. Your superconscious mind, once activated, is like that superhero, automatically solving every problem that gets in the way of your clear goals. A sure way to this clarity can also be in the form of breathwork. Ancient yogis have used breathwork, or pranayama, to attain Samadhi or Superconsciousness for centuries. According to Dr. Douglas M. Baker in his book Superconsciousness Through Meditation, the state of Samadhi can occur when sufficient control of prana, or breath, has been developed. 5

6 Here is one quick breathing exercise that has amazing benefits and can help you access your superconscious mind: Kapalabhati Pranayama: Breath of Fire: Wonderful for strengthening intuition and oxygenating blood. It translates to Skull Shining Breath allowing for true clarity and connection. - After taking a few deep breaths, inhale deeply into the lungs. - Strongly contract your abdomen and exhale sharply through both nostrils. - Repeat the exhalations and inhalations at a steady pace this way for 20 expulsions. Note: Do not practice if you are pregnant, menstruating, or have uncontrolled high blood pressure. So however you start, whether you dig into our Project Yourself or Project Wealth courses which include breathing exercises like the one you just did, or even through the Deep Dive Guided Meditations we mentioned earlier, just get ready... to meet your superconsciousness.
