Tel: FUNERAL OF DERICK MARNEY 6 It was an honour to take the funeral of Derick, to honour and celebrate his life. A double slot was the order of the day. A day full of singing, readings & celebrations. It was lovely to see so many Presidents, X presidents of churches, church members from far and wide, Mediums, family & Friends all wishing to pay their respects to a beautiful man and worker for spirit. Derick made his entrance to I dreamed a Dream by Susan Boyle, followed by the singing of his favourite hymn, God of the Granite and of the Rose. Lesleigh had to use her own music centre as this piece of music was not available, the singing was very powerful, sung with gusto and passion. The service of celebration was very deep and meaningful just as Derick was, it fitted him perfectly. Lesleigh then went on to read the families eulogy and a personal eulogy as Derick was a very dear friend to Malcolm and also from a lot of friends at the service. People were invited to share their thoughts publically about Derick which was very impromptu, but Lesleigh had a lot of comments afterwards on how they loved the opportunity to come and say a few words. This brought a lot of laughter and smiles as we could all experience Derick saying some of the words. I would like to share one person s thoughts on Derick who couldn t be at the service

7 My first memory of Derick goes back to the early nineties, I always liked the way he presented his mediumship and in particular the style of his prayers. He was old school, quality not quantity is a phrase I would associate with Derick, I was at a workshop in a local church and as part of the workshop there was an introductory seminar on trance mediumship, one of the participants who was demonstrating their ability was quite advanced and so proceeded to go into trance, now despite their being a number of well-known mediums on the workshop Derick was the only Medium who questioned the spirit in an authoritative way so as to test the spirit, something that to my mind is very admirable and shows his quality. A few years ago I had a reading with Derick and we sat at least eight feet apart (if not more) in order to be far enough away to enable us both to sit in our own energies without any interference, this enabled Derick not to pick up on my energies so as to be sure what he was getting came from Spirit and not anything he could pick up from me. Once again quality! As Lesleigh said there were a lot of people who wanted to be there on the day but due to work commitments were unable to. Respect was given to a life time friend and medium Edwards Sayers who for personal reason could not attend, but as Lesleigh said Derick you know who they are. A lot of people said that they felt Derick around; of course, he wasn t going to miss this. We then sung In the Garden as Derick just loved flowers and gardens which we had heard about. Malcolm was invited to share some inspired words which will follow, So many people have requested to hear them again, one X president said it just kept coming and coming I had just to allow it to go into my subconscious. they were channelled by a beautiful lady whom had contacted Lesleigh the morning that we found out about Derick s passing, she never knew the man. Only that Lesleigh was not really in the right headspace to have a chat. If you had the pleasure of knowing or hearing Derick I am sure that these words will resonate with you. Some are of Derick s guide and some from Derick one line really has resonated with both Malcolm and Lesleigh and a lot of others who heard these words. I know it is long but worth reading. THANK THE GOD LIGHT HE IS IN BLISS... OBSERVING HOW WE VALUE LIFE HERE... ONCE AGAIN FROM HIS GREATEST PERSPECTIVE. HE NO LONGER HAS ASSOCIATION WITH OUR IDEALS OF JUSTICE. HE PLAYED HIS PART (IN INFINITE STORIES RESULTING IN THAT ONE MOMENT) AND HE IS CELEBRATED FOR ALL HIS THINKING AND LOVING ACTIONS THAT LIFTED HUMANITY ETERNALLY. 7

8 HE CREATED EXPANSION... HIS LEGACY-DUE TO THIS- IS TO CONTINUE MORE THAN MANY OTHERS TO CREATE EXPANSION, THROUGH THE HEARTS OF OTHERS TOUCHED DEEPLY IN HOW HE LEFT THIS PLANET. THE MOMENT IS ALWAYS 'NOW' TO FOCUS ON LOVE RATHER THAN THE LEGAL SYSTEM... WHEN YOU CAN. HE ASKS 'WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH ALL I TAUGHT?'. HE WOULD LIKE HIS VOICE TO CONTINUE. WRITE IT DOWN. HE WILL WRITE THROUGH YOU, THE REAL STORY HE TRIED TO PROJECT OF WHAT HE KNEW ABOUT THE 'ILLUSION' OF LIVING ON EARTH AND THE REAL POWER WE ALL POSSESS. HE ASKS FOR YOU TO SIT AND FOCUS ON HIS HEART AND LISTEN TO WHAT YOU FEEL. HE WILL TAKE YOU UP AND DOWN HIS TIME-LINE EMOTIONALLY AND VISUALLY TO THE MOST VALUABLE INTENTIONS TO SHARE. HE SAYS, ALL WILL BE WELL...WITHOUT FEAR OR WORRY... SIMPLY BECAUSE DEATH DIDN'T HAPPEN. FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE THERE IS NO LONGER GOOD OR BAD HERE ON EARTH, SIMPLY PEOPLE IN PAIN OR PEOPLE IN JOY... BUT THEY ARE ALL VALID. EVEN THOSE WHO 'TAKE LIFE', EVOLVE FROM PAIN INTO A MOMENT WHERE THEY REACT WITHOUT COGNITIVE THOUGHT JUST SIMPLY DRIVEN BY A DESPERATE DESIRE TO FEEL BETTER. THEY KNOW THEY ARE IN CRISIS AND ARE DRIVEN TO EXTREME DEMONSTRATION/ACTION BY THEIR OWN BELIEF OF THEIR OWN LACK OF VALUE. HE SAYS FOR ALL YOUR NATURAL ANGER AND DEEP, VALID PAIN IN THIS MOMENT... KNOW THOSE TWO PIECES OF THE PUZZLE ARE SIMPLY THAT...TWO PIECES. THE FULL PICTURE IS SO COMPLEX IT IS UNFATHOMABLE TO THE HUMAN MIND. HE ASKS YOU FIND INNER PEACE IN YOUR SHIFTING OF YOUR FOCUS (ACTIVELY BEING DRIVEN BY YOU) TO ENGAGE AND DETACH FROM THE 'DRAMA' OF MURDER AS AND WHEN APPROPRIATE TO EVENTS THAT WILL FOLLOW... BUT ALWAYS REMIND YOURSELF OF WHAT YOU REALLY KNOW 'WHAT WE ALL STAND FOR' 8

9 AND THE BEAUTY THAT TRULY RESIDES IN EVERYONE... EVERY LIVING COMPONENT OF THE GOD-LIGHT. I AM ALIVE AND I AM WELL. NO ONE CHANGED MY PATH. I DID NOT CONSCIOUSLY PARTICIPATE BUT I BECAME IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE EVENT. BUT LEAVING THE PHYSICAL FORM... WELL, THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO DO IT... THIS WAS MINE. ON INFINITE LEVELS EXCEPT ONE... THEY AND I WERE BOTH WORKING TOGETHER TO CREATE AWARENESS THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE VALUABLE THAN LIFE. THE IGNORED AND DISMISSED LIFE, THE PUNISHED LIFE, THE LOVED LIFE AND ALWAYS REVERED...THE TAKEN LIFE. PLEASE BE OPEN TO THE FULLNESS OF THE PICTURE, NOT LOCKING THE FREQUENCY INTO ONE POSSIBILITY AND EMOTIONAL LEVELS COLLAPSING.. BUT BY NURTURING ENERGY FIELDS. YOU HAVE YOUR PERMISSION TO DISENGAGE FROM A 'ONE ROAD' BELIEF ON EARTH... TO ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL THE TRUTH IN ALL OF IT'S BEAUTY AND FULLNESS. BLESSINGS. HE IS DERICK NOW, BUT HE'S NOT DERICK NOW. WHAT HE KNEW AND BELIEVED SNAPPED HIM STRAIGHT INTO HIS LIGHT BODY AND HIS FULL ACCEPTANCE OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING. HIS FIRST SECONDS WERE OF 'NO WAY' THOUGHTS. THEN HE WENT WITH THE BEAUTIFUL WARMTH AND STILLNESS OF PEACE. WHICH IS WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO FEEL TODAY. TOMORROW WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF. BUT HE WANTS TO WRITE TO YOU. HE'S EMPHATIC IN AN EXCITED WAY. Following this reading we sung Jerusalem, which again raised the roof. A long term friend of Derick s read some words that were found at Derick's flat which again were very meaningful. After we sat in reflection, to absorb what had taken place, and to think of Derick and his life and what he meant to us. Lesleigh then read out a poem that also was found at Derick s home He is Gone Before the committal we sat and listen to a song which reflected life, Yes it was the life of Brian, one lady did say I was waiting for the rude word but the version played said another, I feel we all knew that it was though. The family were invited to say their goodbyes to Derick as the curtains remained open as everyone left. People were joyous, smiling a true celebration of his life were their comments to Lesleigh, even the funeral director remained for the full service and expressed the fact of that a beautiful celebration it was. 9

10 The closing song for Derick which you might guess was of course MY WAY by Frank Sinatra, Derick certainly did it his way in all things that he did. One amazing man, we joined the family afterwards to celebrate his life. God Bless you Derick on your next journey. It was a honour to know you. 14 20TH MALCOLM PUTLAND What a fabulous evening, Malcolm was certainly on top form; Jeff Woodhouse was unable to honour his booking so Malcolm stepped onto the brink. One lady had brought an orchid to say welcome back we missed you, it was a beautiful turquoise colour, and she must have linked in as Lesleigh was wearing the exact colour. Thank you so very much. Malcolm delivered an amazing message to one lady whose face just lit up. Another lady at the back received her first message, she was amazed at all the evidence that Malcom was giving her, proving beyond doubt that her loved ones where close to her. Wonderful messages, great evidence, People were very uplifted after Malcolm s demonstration chatting to him afterwards in giving him feedback. As working mediums you never really know the extent to which messages can touch people. Thank you Malcolm for your beautiful work tonight 27TH MELANIE BOND Lesleigh lit the candle for the victims of the Tunisia attack and it was very interesting to experience how the energy had completely changed, but it was brought up by the singing of an uplifting song. Well what can I say; I don t think Melanie came up for breath as every minute of her working she was bringing through evidence after evidence, information after information. Melanie works on a very fast vibration. A true professional. Those at the centre that night were really treated to an amazing experience. The numbers were very low this night; there were about 23 regulars not there, let s hope that Burgess Hill doesn t have to close its doors. No, thank God but we had some interesting sounds. The morning meditation was very beautiful with those experiencing it quite in the moment. Lesleigh s guides took them on an amazing journey. So much so that it was very hard for people to come back from the experience, they just wanted to stay there. There was a wonderful congregation although some regulars were missing at this time of year, all sharing in the experience of spirit and the synchronicity of how the service is put together, if only the organisers of churches and centres listen? Lesleigh always chooses a reading just in case the medium doesn t bring one. In some counties the chair person does the reading. Lesleigh and Brian had been inspired to bring the same author of channelled work. As Brian was opening in Prayer there was this amazing sound that Malcolm was trying to find the cause of, he did eventually. then during the singing of the Lord s prayer there was this amazing screech, how Lesleigh & Brian kept it together lord above knows. 15

16 Malcolm said to Brian after that I didn t know we were going to have a bit of physical mediumship. After Brian s reading the hymn chosen just reflected the words of the reading, Lesleigh was impressed to read the first and end lines of her reading because it just went with the total experience of what we have just experienced. Brian s address was very meaningful with people taking on board the spoken word from spirit. Brian then linked the two worlds together and brought through wonderful experiences from spirit for those in the congregation. One amazing morning. We felt just like going home. But the church was great and helped us unload. Lesleigh displayed the stock as Malcolm had a reading straight away, how he was able to do so after the experience he just had, but trust in spirit and that he did.
