Our February newsletter came out a wee bit late, and for that we apologise You will notice there is no background to this newsletter this is because this makes it a more printer-friendly version, and also a smaller document to . We have many exciting workshops coming up in March and April, being Animal Healing & Communication (23 & 24 February for Cape Town) see workshop ad at the end of this newsletter. We also have the sacred Munay Ki Shamanic Rites workshop happening in Cape Town on 23 & 24 February, run by the very capable and soon-to-be Capetonian, Lee-Anne Brandt (my darling sister who I used to see every few years, who I now see every few months, when we each have a workshop running in the same town). Lee-Anne and her family will be moving from Durban to Cape Town (Muizenberg area, but will be practising in other areas too) in the near future and will be running many workshops there (as well as still in Durban), including the 12 week Reiki 1 to Advanced experience, as well as the 8 week Crystal Healing journey, 2 day Introduction to Energy Healing (where she covers how to see the aura, chakras, angels and spirit guides and how to work with yours, including your animal guides, healing techniques and more), and meditation evenings. Lee-Anne does chakra balancing, aura cleansing, Reiki and Crystal Healing treatments, and is an intuitive. Lee-Anne will also be running the Cape Town classes for Meet your Dragon, and the Shamanic Drumming, Journeying and Soul Retrieval (with possible drumming evenings too). Please me if you would be interested in attending any of Lee-Anne s workshops, or consult with her for healing. She has had many healing successes, her latest being assisting a once sterile colleague to fall pregnant through removing energy blocks. Lee- Anne Em also has quite a few workshops planned, some of them run independently of the Sunshine Academy. Em will be running some of the Joburg and PE classes, being Spiritual Manifesting and Conscious Creating, Animal Healing & Communication, Munay Ki, Reiki 1 to Advanced, as well as her own workshops such as Everything Angels, Psychic Self-Protection, and Releasing Fear. Marilyn Rose-Innes will be running a few of the Joburg Munay Ki workshops in the future too. Marilyn is a wonderful Canadian lady who is also a natural/born psychic (just like me, Em and Lee-Anne). I will be running some of the workshops throughout South Africa still, being Animal Healing & Communication, Munay Ki, Meet your Dragon, Spiritual Manifesting and Conscious Creating, Atlantis Clearing & Activation (channelled by myself and Bev Moss), and Shamanic Drumming, Journeying and Soul Retrieval (one of my absolute favourites). 3 How to Stop Worrying About What Other People Think By Kathleen Bren If you want to live an authentic, empowered existence on this planet, you must get over the paralysis that comes with worrying about other people s opinions. Worrying about what other people think is an effort in futility. First, it is not possible to know the thoughts of others in the literal sense because you are not them. This means that what you think they might be thinking about you is highly speculative at best. Moreover, it will be heavily influenced by what you think about yourself at that moment. This is commonly known as projection. Second, even if you did know what other people were thinking about, what do their thoughts have to do with you? Other people have the right to think about whatever they choose to think about, and so do you. What they think about you is really none of your business. Last, the thoughts you hold within your mind are the only thoughts you really have any control over. Instead of fretting over something you cannot control, namely other people s thoughts, why not spend your time and energy cleaning up your own thought process. Worrying about what other people think is really a sign that you are harbouring doubt and insecurity over some aspect of your life. Here is an example. If you have an abundance of wealth in your life, and you worry about what other people think about the kind of house you live in or the kind of car you drive, this is an opportunity to do some inner work and uncover the source of the concern. The source of the concern is not coming from outside of your (i.e. what other people think about you) rather, it is actually coming from within you in the form of some unconscious judgment or guilt that you are holding onto over the subject of money and wealth. This is a fabulous opportunity to uncover any hidden beliefs you might have surrounding this topic. As you ponder the topic of money and wealth, write down any negative thoughts and feelings you are holding onto, and find a way to re-contextualize them is a way that support you. The same can be done for any topic. When you make peace with yourself, and learn to love yourself wholly and completely for who you are, the good, the bad and the ugly, you won t care about what other people think about you because unconditional love does not require external approval. The next time you find yourself worrying about what someone might be thinking about you look within for the source of the concern and make peace with yourself. It won t take long before you realize that the approval you seek is your own, and it really doesn t matter what other people think. 4 Crystal Prosperity Part 1 Judy Hall True prosperity comes from an inner contentment and generosity of spirit that naturally attracts wealth of all kinds. It comes from the richness of friends, a good work-leisure balance and a healthy attitude to money. And it most certainly comes from trusting that we live in an abundant universe. This doesn t mean pretending that everything s ok, or denying that there are problems. We need to be honest with ourselves. Negative feelings can be useful warnings to us but you don t have to stay entrenched in them or feel them every day. Nor do you have to go into denial of how you are feeling and pretend to be positive. There is a huge difference between being realistically positive when assessing possibilities and adopting an unrealistic Pollyanna approach that takes no account of actualities such as bills piling up. If you continually assert that things will go wrong, they inevitably do. But if you look at what could feasibly go wrong and plan a way through to the other side, setting realistic goals and trusting the process, good things manifest. Looking within your own self is the secret of finding true abundance: cashing in on your own resources. You have all the riches and resources you need within yourself to create an abundant world. You just need to believe it. And to tap into your inner world you need the power of intention and sufficient impetus to take those first small steps. Harnessing the power of crystals makes this so much easier. Putting intention into a crystal Crystals need to be asked to work with you for the highest good of everyone concerned. When you know exactly what your intent is, hold the thought in your mind and feel all the positive emotions associated with manifesting it: joy, fulfilment, excitement, purpose and so on. Then hold the crystal in your hands, speak your intent out loud and pour your intention and all those good feelings into the crystal as you do so. Ask the crystal that it takes this intention out to the world and manifests it. This magnetises the crystal. Then withdraw your attention. Place the crystal as appropriate and simply trust that your intention comes into being in the right way and with right timing. Always remember to magnetise your crystals before using them for rituals or layouts. Keep a Citrine in your purse, cash box, or wealth corner of your home (far back left from front door) to attract prosperity. Keep in your pocket for success. Use if you lack motivation as it overcomes apathy and hopelessness and raises self-esteem, promoting optimism and a positive

Natural Citrine is darker than the bright yellow heat-amended amethyst and it grounds the energy more strongly. Do you judge your worth and that of others by the job done, by status or wealth. Do you feel like a victim of circumstances? What does prosperity mean to you? Define prosperity The steps to abundance - Changing your mental program: what your mind conceives, it achieves. - Measuring your self-worth by who you are not what you do or what you have. - Following your bliss: do what you love and abundance follows. - Obeying the fundamental law of attraction: like follows like. - Believing you can fulfil your dreams. - Noticing and appreciating all the small joys of everyday life. - Recognising that the universe wants you to succeed. - Focusing on exactly what you want to attract right now. - Giving yourself time, kindness and compassion. - Avoiding doubt and guilt and no longer procrastinating. - Letting go fear or self-pity. - Sharing what you have and taking pleasure in giving Take a small step: ask yourself what is your most enriching quality. 6 ANIMAL HEALING & COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP Come and join us on a weekend of fun and learning how to communicate with and heal the animals in your life.
