6 Time to get our feet wet By John Mills Last month I wrote about the corruption of truth. In that article I made a statement If someone is walking upstream and everyone else is going down stream follow the one who is walking against the flow. I got to think more about that statement, why do we follow like lemmings and all end up jumping off the cliff into the sea? Why do only a few brave souls walk up stream forging a life against the tide. (Just as an aside; have you noticed that it is usually those who walked against the stream that we get to call heroes Sir Peter Blake, Sir Ed Hillary, Mohandas Gandhi)? I keep coming back to one reason FEAR! They say we need to look to history for answers what we realise is that throughout the ages we have been exploited by a few who recognised the power of fear. I could write an entire set of encyclopaedia on what we have been led to believe we need to fear (for those not old enough the encyclopaedia is like Google without computers). We have spent lifetime after lifetime being controlled by fear that we no longer even recognise it, we see it as normal. Fear is not normal! To be frightened when a lion chases you, that s normal. To be frightened that the state will not educate your child if you do not poison your newborn with vaccines, that s not normal, make an informed choice as the parent of that child. To be frightened when another car crosses the centre line towards you, that s normal. To be frightened to question your doctor or any health practitioner that s not normal. To be frightened on the edge of a cliff that s normal. To be frightened to speak up when we know that so called authority figures do not have our best interests at heart, that s not normal. It is time for us to start thinking for ourselves, lets ask the difficult questions without fear of reprisal. Lets take back control of our own lives so that whatever decisions we make are our choice and responsibility. Lets start taking action by walking upstream more. I have always questioned and looked upstream and when emotionally I know in my heart of hearts that I cannot go downstream I take off my shoes and walk upstream no matter the consequences because I know it s the right thing. I left my country of birth to walk upstream. I deregistered myself from ACC as I believed their new system of sensitive claims processes was abusive. I gave up my title of psychotherapist because I could no longer in all consciousness work under government registration and advocate against the government for my clients. I did not agree with pharmacy based medicine so started my own Holistic Centre to provide people with alternatives. Take off your shoes, walk upstream and reclaim your life. You are more magnificent than you can ever imagine.

10 THE HEALING GROUP The Healing Group brings together healers to facilitate your body s capacity to heal itself both physically and emotionally. Our bodies are made up of molecules that vibrate on a range of frequencies. When that vibration is not functioning correctly it leaves us open to disease and emotional distress. The Healers have increased and aligned their own vibrational rate, and utilise this ability to assist your body and mind and realign your energies. 11 Reiki I Workshop Sunday 9 th & Sunday 16 th September :00am - 4:00pm Presented by Lynette Mills at The Mosgiel Holistic Centre, 12 Church Street, Mosgiel Your Reiki workshop is a beautiful time of sharing and healing for all involved. You receive an attunement and the technique of using Reiki for yourself and others. You will also learn meditation techniques to help you still your mind and find peace and calmness in your every day life. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea both days included.
