1 From recognition through experiencing to knowing With the Grail Message mankind was given the possibility for inexhaustible knowledge. Across various levels the author guides the reader toward knowledge which in the end can only be grasped by the spirit. Specifically, these levels are: the level of recognition, the level of experiencing and the level of knowing. These levels may also be subdivided into seven stages.with the first stage the author addresses the human spirits that live in deep darkness after he had to realize that most of them could only be reached there. He therewith tries to address the spirits gone astray and then to lead them, stage by stage, out from there. The secret of these levels lies in the way of writing and in the structure of the Message. Wisely, He chose a form in which every stage provides the premise or key for the next one. We can compare this to a work of art presenting a 3-dimensional picture. First the viewer beholds the 2 dimensions of the width. More and more he manages to see into the depth, the third dimension. But only as he is able to receive the radiations in which the written word swings, the reader immerses himself and becomes a part of the picture. He stands right in the middle of it and is completely surrounded by it. The two-dimensional picture speaks more to the intellect which is not capable of perceiving anything beyond. The soul, however, already recognizes the third dimension, while only the spirit is able to become one with the picture. To give another example for the clairifilcation of these levels we can also take a true work of art of musical composition. It is mostly the rythm, e.g. drums and percussion instruments or bold sound effects that catch the audience s attention. Background sounds are perceived only gradually. Heightened alertness then permits vibrations not previously perceived to come to the foreground and the combination of sounds becomes ever more impressive. Depending on the receptive capacity of the listener the music penetrates deeply into his consciousness, awakening intuitive perceptions and experiences. His soul vibrates in the music. The process is similar in reading and absorbing the Message except that here the perception levels run through the entire Creation. In the Message you were shown a certain path to the Light. To this end the Message reaches deep into the tenacity of the human intellect up to the highest height of spiritual consciousness. Thus it is possible for you to ascend together with it, stage by stage. 1

2 However, a great danger, a wicked trap has been set for you by the darkness. Through your indolence of being satisfied with every recognition you gained it tries to bind you by tempting you to linger at the surface of each respective stage. Yet each stage is useful for you only as a path to the goal and you must not get stuck in it. You are to walk onward with courage and not to stop in the belief you have everything you need by reaching the respective stage. Only when you have reached a level which lifts you out of the sphere of influence of the intellect and deceptive feelings you will have reached a goal where you as a human spirit will be able to stand securely.pay close attention to this...! What can we imagine these levels to be like? Let us start by considering the first level, the level of recognition. It consists of three stages: 1. The stage of the intellect 2. The stage of feelings 3. The stage of the soul The first stage: It is subject to logic and attributed solely to the intellect which needs the clear connections of the Creation Laws to deal with. It recognizes nothing but logical conclusions.this stage is the entry point for most people on earth since they are bound to the intellect. This stage stands for everything that can be comprehended with the intellect. Here explanations are described which are to serve as foundations for research and it is the sphere of work of Science. Hoever, anybody moving only in within this stage will never recognize the true value of the Message The danger in this first stage lies in categorizing, analysing and quoting of the words and sentences of the Message all the way to the study and meticulous interpretation as in a teaching system. This is accompanied by intellectual arrogance. Those who get involved in this and do not move on are stuck and will never know the Word but will merely follow logical processes. The second stage: This is the stage of felings where we are touched mysteriously as in a kind of fairytale world. However, the guidedline here still largely requires logic unless the experience of harmonious resonating already urges toward a still unknown desire for affiliation. This stage is reached mostly by people who have a strong tendency to idealism. The danger of this stage lies in following too much the urge to join groups of like-minded people, eventually leading to fanatism and sectarianism in order to seek peace in such groups. However, the weakness and emollience of 2

3 continual indulgence in the belief to be advocating peace is a characteristic of those who are stuck here. The third stage: This stage is reserved to the soul. In reading there arises the impression of a memory of something that was lost long ago. The desire to free oneself from the attachment to material things clearly emerges. It is only in this stage that the seal of grasping the power of the old Message is opened. It is the exit stage out of the domination of the intellect and thus the beginning of genuine humility.the Light originally intended this stage to be the starting point of spiritual awakening. It is also the stage of the seeking spirits in whom there burns the yearning for the Light. This stage, however, can also be reached by those who, although they recognized Truth in the first two stages and were partly awakened, yet their seeking left them no peace of mind. The dangers of this stage are false humility and spiritual arrogance, looking down with pity on inferiors as well as the feeling of superiority. The belief to now have all one needs is a trick of this stage. Succumbing to these vanities means no progress and getting stuck in this stage. However, with this the intellect intervenes again more intensely which means regression to the first stage while the experience of the third stage is retained. The reader himself does not notice how his horizon becomes lower again. On the contrary, the expierience he now has makes him believe to have risen higher since now, back in the first stage, he actually does stand above this stage. It gives him the deceptive feeling of superiority. Thus, he might walk back and forth in his self-made maze, the world of intellect and feeling inside the level of recognition until he levels out in a stage in which he must thereby rigidify. In any case, he will no longer be able to ascend above this level. If he wishes to ascend he must not fall into the temptation of indolence. Only then will he be able to experience the Message. As long as he remains free of the above-described faults, however, he may remain in the stage of recognition without danger until he is matured to the point where he can move on. But sooner or later he must move toward the next transition, to the second level, which, at the same time, represents the fourth stage. This transition from the level of recognition to the level of experiencing is the most important one for the human spirit living on earth, for it is only here that his spiritual consciousness awakens. To him who has reached this fourth stage the Message no longer reveals Itself as a collection of many recognitions but as a wonderful enlightenment that is now perceived spiritually. 3

4 As a result, in this level the desire for intellectual comprehension is only felt as an obstruction or blockage. The importance of the form of the word increasingly gives way to absorption of the radiation and the content. True humility enters the consciousness and everything he recognizes in this level also becomes an experience. Therefore, once his body turns to dust all the experiences remain as the property of his spirit. When he has reached this level it is practically impossible for him to become lost as long as he does not again give in to the whisperings and doubts of the intellect which, again, can happen only because of indolence in the intuitive perception.but vanity, egotism and the weaknesses of the feelings can also allow dark currents to reach a person even on this stage., but he is not as likely to succumb to them. Watchfulness, vigilance and battle readiness, to be on one s post in one s thoughts, are indispensable virtues especially in this stage. The next level, the third one, begins with stage 5 and is the level of knowing. Here the human being becomes truly aware of how narrow the Word had to be made in order to force It into a gross-material form. On this stage he begins to become knowing. For good reason this stage is also the stage of beginning spiritual responsibility. He who reaches it is at the same time integrated more intensely into the cycle of radiations. The statement If you fail, the world will fall. applies to all these human spirits for they maintain the connection between the lower and the higher stages. If they fail, the connection upward is cut off. From this level spirits are called to receive a task. They are no longer standing in front of the picture but have already become a part of it. They are now able to guide others onto the path to the Light. in the sixth stage the form of the word loses its significance for the spirit is now enabled to swim in the current of Truth. Everything the human being reads from here on reveals itself spontaneously of itself. It is no longer a process of learning but of drawing (inspiration). During reading the intellect will rest in the form of the word so as to allow the spirit to move freely in the Light current. The spirit then recognizes interrelationships which it was never possible to press into words. The seventh stage cannot be described in words. It opens the seal to the spiritual home, Paradise. He who has reached it is no longer in need of explanations. He now develops through experiencing exclusively the beginning of which had already taken place in stage 4 on level 2. Thus the Word of the Grail Message has seven gates which the human spirit has to pass through one after the other. It has to open seven seals.the contents of the Message are grasped more and more through breaking the first three seals. However the Word is recognized only from the fifth seal onward, already starting with the experiencing in the fourth stage. Therefore the second level together with the fourth stage is the transiiton level and the most important one for earthman s ascent. 4

5 I will summarize everything again so as to give a better overview. There are three levels simultaneously forming seven stages. The first level is the level of recognition containing stages 1-3 >intellect, feeling and soul< The second level is that of experiencing forming stage 4. It is the transition between levels 1 and 3 and therefore the stage of detachment and ascent. The third level is that of knowing. With knowing begins spiritual responsibility. This level consists of stages 5-7. Across these three levels the Message is to guide the human spirit, step by step, back to his Luminous Home. The mystery of this guidance lies in the way the Message was written. With respect to the question of what is the significance of the two different forms of the Message for the levels. With the Message of last hand man can be introduced and progress to the second level, i.e. stage 4. However, in order to stand there firmly and securely and to progress to the third level the original text of the Word is needed. It now becomes clear how the darkness was able to penetrate deeply into the structures of the Grail Movement on Earth.Its intent was pimarily to firmly tie the human spirit to the level of recognitiion, i.e. the first three stages (intellect, feeling and soul). From there it can easily exert its influence on feeling and intellect. The souls that are tightly bound here serve as a source of energy for the darkness which it needs for its own survival; for this is possible only on this first level. This fact has been pointed out repeatedly in the Calls. He who passes straight forward and without being diverted through the level of recognition cannot be approached by the darkness. But if he succumbs to the aforementioned negative influences he will be trapped. Also the generally known SEVEN sins tie the soul to the first three stages. 1. Pride (vanity, wantonness, egotism) 2. Avarice (greed, unfriendliness, lack of respect) 3. Lust (debauchery,hedonism, lechery, covetousness) 4. Anger (rage, vindictiveness,lack of self control) 5. Gluttony (voraciousness, self-indulgence) 6. Envy (jealousy, resentment) 7. Laziness (cowardice, ignorance, indolence, inflexibility) 5

6 Everyone pay close attention to this, for there are many who already had reached the second level but then relapsed through giving in again to such a proclivity. With such excesses it is not possible in the long run to experience the Word, It will eventually automatically sever Itself. One more point needs to be made. It concerns many of the Called Ones who act as leaders in the Grail cause on earth. The darkness has a preference for using spirits that have been prenatally destined to have a guiding influence on man on earth. If these succumb to dark insinuations and suggestions they, although tied again to level 1, their memories have stored sufficient expierences from level 2 and 3 since they previously had passed through them. This is the reason for their sometimes astonishing knowledge. In their activity they no longer draw from the Truth Itself but only from their own memories. It is especially through their vanity of seeking status before others and themselves that the darkness can continue to manipulate them. It whispers to these spirits of a task which basically resembles their original one. However, they move only within the stages of recognition. Of course, they do not want to let anyone escape their sphere of influence, the only place where they can hold on to their power. Using explanations, quotes and treatises in the thicket of the intellect and feelings, mixed with former memories of higher levels, they set out to catch souls. Using every means that worked to impress on the level of recognition, including tying the reader to the formed word, as well as the need to belong to a group, they chain those that entrusted themselves to them. They do all of this in the firm conviction of doing it in the service to the Light. However blame cannot be assigned only to them for most people ask for just this since they are still stuck in the second stage and are total victims of group mentality and need a leader figure whom they can saddle with the responsibility for themselves. The knowledge of these processes helps with the question of where one stands and where the tricks of the intellect present a danger. Anyone can recognize for himself where he can get real help while also seeing where and to whom he himself may provide help. In this way a chain of helpers can be formed in which those at a respectively higher stage can reach out their hands to those at the lower stage. Keep in mind that there are people who are not yet reading the Message, yet are active on the second level since they carry the Word, at least partly, within, even without its earthly form. These people would recognize the Message immediately, 6

7 were it not for commercialism and sect-like associations claiming it exclusively for themselves. It is quite simply a case of these spirits sensing accurately that these groups are all about the first level which is why they, following a disquieting intuition, will not really entrust themselves to these institutions and re ject anything connected with them. Unfortunately they neglect to examine the Message as it is. To round off the picture one more thing needs to be mentioned. Many who at the beginning are still reading with the intellect since there is no other possible way for them, often already experience stage four in their spirit without the intellect noticing. This happens when the intellect is fatigued or distracted. Anyone can sense this within. The emergence of the intuitive senseat a time when the intellect is tired is an unmistakable sign that anyone must be able to recognize in himself. If someone, as the intellect tires, begins to experience a different kind of consciouness he should rejoice for his spirit is awake in spite of the intellect s attempts to suppress it. He can now walk on his path, confident and vigilant, and wait for the intellect to slowly dissolve, for in its present condition it will have to vanish. That time is not far off, for the first signs are already there. The last desparate gasp of the intellect is a sure indication of its imminent end. Those who are rigidified in the first two stages, those of the intellect and of feeling, fight as if possessed, or quietly despair of themselves. They would do well to, if they are still able to recognize, to pull themselves together and free themselves from all that is wrong. For they are closer to the disintegration than those who have not yet come into contact with the Word. Looking about from the perspective of this recognition will be very revealing. However, it must always be remembered that it is the law that where a man is offended the most is where this very fault is anchored in him most firmly. Now pay attention to the effect of the Word in you. Open the channels that will point out the step to the next higher stage. Beware of the whispered insinuations deviously trying to bind you. The time has come for everyone who was permitted to receive the Word of the Message. Do not waste it with carrying on useless research. Signed Simon August 4,
