Panosophical Bibliography T he Theory of Everything, which I call Panosophy or the Unified Relationships Theory, is a coherent body of knowledge that corresponds to all the experiences from the mystical to the mundane of all humans who have ever lived or ever will live. However, such a theory cannot be printed on paper or stored electronically on the Internet. For, as David Bohm pointed out in Wholeness and the Implicate Order, which unified quantum and relativity theories, The word theory derives from the Greek theoria, which has the same root as theatre, in a word meaning to view or to make a spectacle. Thus it might be said that a theory is primarily a form of insight, i.e. a way of looking at the world, and not a form of knowledge of how the world is. However, as Bohm pointed out, specialists are very restricted in what they can see. To see the Totality of Existence as a coherent whole, we need to be generalists, viewing the powerful abstractions underlying our conceptual models. This we can do using the Internet, which contains a representation of the world s symbolic knowledge and inner knowing throughout human history, giving us a clue to how we could bring a sense of universal order to all this knowledge, healing our fragmented, split minds in Wholeness. For the Internet is based on information systems modelling methods of great abstraction and generality, applicable in all cultures, industries, and disciplines. They are holographic and fractal-like, possessing the property of self-similarity. If this were not the case, the Internet could neither exist nor expand at hyperexponential rates of acceleration. So, since 1980, I have been generalizing these modelling methods as the Cosmic Context, Gnostic Foundation, and coordinating framework for the Grand Design of the Universe, depicted here. This diagram is intended to show how we could complete the final revolution in science, acting as an expression of the coherent map that is a potential within all of us. It is not the Theory of Everything itself. 4 Panosophical Bibliography As the Unified Relationships Theory is a form of insight, describing this coherent body of knowledge is rather like describing a beautiful sunset to someone over the telephone. To share experiences, it is necessary to be present, in the moment. For Presence means before being or prior to existence, deriving from Latin præesse to be before. Presence is the Immanent, Transcendent Divine, one of the words I use to resolve the incompatibilities between the contextual concepts of God and Universe in religion and science, respectively, which I set out to do as a seven-year-old, living in a world that is at war with itself. To understand what has been causing much conflict and suffering in the world for thousands of years, we need to engage in self-inquiry, following the maxim KNOW THYSELF, which seven sages of Greece inscribed on the temple of Apollo at Delphi, Plato tells us. In a similar fashion, when Neo visited the Oracle in the popular movie The Matrix, hanging on the kitchen wall was a sign saying Temet Nosce Know yourself. If we could awaken in this manner, free of our mechanistic, cultural conditioning, which, among other things, tells us that the Universe consists primarily of mass, space, and time, we would be able to collectively enter the eschatological Age of Light. Even though I have known since the Falklands War in 1982 that one day a generation of children will be born who will not grow old enough to have children of their own, I had hoped until last year that this final period of human existence could last a few generations, at least. However, in December 2017, I met Guy McPherson, Professor Emeritus of Natural Resources at the University of Arizona, in Oslo. Guy explained to me why the collapse of the industrial economy, apparently our salvation, would reduce global dimming, accelerating the extremes of climate change, making our beautiful planet Earth uninhabitable, unable to provide us with the food we need to survive. So what to do? Well, not wishing to dwell on the how and when of human extinction or of the death my body, I continue to pursue my life s purpose to complete the final revolution in science, much as Johannes Kepler and Isaac Newton completed the first with New Astronomy, The Harmony of the World, and Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy in the seventeenth century. For such an endeavour gives me much joy, which maybe I could share with others similarly engaged in consummating the sacred marriage of science and spirituality, unifying Eastern mysticism and Western rational thought. The two dimensions of time Integral Relational Logic, in the centre of the above diagram, is the commonsensical art and science of thought and consciousness that we all implicitly use everyday to form concepts and organize our ideas in a tables and semantic networks, like graphs in mathematics. These show that the underlying structure of the Cosmos is a meaningful, infinitely dimensional network of hierarchical relationships. Evolution has developed this universal system of thought within me so that I could understand what it truly means to be a human being in contrast to the other animals and machines, like computers. In other words, I have been seeking my Genuine Identity, a little like those studying family history seeking to give themselves a deeper and broader sense of identity, such as celebrities participating in the fascinating television series Who do you think you are? As detectives, some describe much about social history at the times of their ancestors, both succumbing to and triumphantly overcoming adversity, as religious intolerance and economic exploitation have led to wars and human cruelty, diminishing today among the caring progressives. Hardly anyone could avoid being driven to tears, as they felt empathy with their forebears. Much to learn from as we grieve for the next generations at these end times we live in. But tracing the familial and social influences on my evolutionary development back a few generations, -2-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science when records are available, is not sufficient. Rather, I have attempted to find my origin as a human by tracing the entire history of evolution back along the horizontal line on the left of diagram, through human learning and the evolution of the species to the most recent bang, 13.8 billion years ago. Aristotle called the beginning of this supposed long chain of causes and effects the Unmoved Mover, which Thomas Aquinas used in Summa Theologiæ to give five proofs for the existence of God. But such a temporal, linear view of causality does not enable us to discover the essential difference between human intelligence and so-called artificial general intelligence, answering the most critical unanswered question in science: What is causing scientists and technologists, aided and abetted by computer technology, to drive the pace of scientific discovery and technological development at unprecedented exponential rates of acceleration? For every application and operating system that we use on our computers has come into existence with the assistance of another program, in a long mechanistic cause-and-effect process. So where did the first program and computer come from? Well, in answering this question, I have realized that the entire evolutionary process since the most recent big bang is mechanistic, illusory, and superficial, just lying on the surface of Existence. Rather, when I look at and feel the creative energies bubbling up within me, I realize that their Ultimate Source is the Divine Origin of the Universe, which lies in the utmost depth of my psyche, as it does within all other beings. The creative power of God lies within all of us, as we can see in words like Spirit, Logos, Brahmā, Prāna, and Kundalini, whose existence Western science and business deny. Nevertheless, this creative process which the ancient Greeks called enthousiasmos inspired by God has carried me to Ineffable, Nondual Wholeness in the top right-hand corner in the diagram. I have thereby discovered that no one can return Home to Wholeness, for nobody has ever left Home. I am Wholeness or Cosmic Consciousness, like everyone else. But this is only one side of the spiritual journey, recapitulating Relativistic world of form what Joseph Campbell called the Cosmogonic Cycle, from the Formless Nonmanifest to form and back to the Nonmanifest, schematically illustrated in this diagram. So, from this peak of Growth Decay evolutionary convergence, I then studied jńāna yoga, in particular, following the traditional path of truth and abstract knowledge in Advaita, answering the question, Who am I? By returning to Birth Formless, Immortal Absolute Death Oneness with Unity Consciousness, I have come full circle, realizing that my great adventure in life begins at the end and ends at the beginning. It is in this delightful way that I have been able to solve the mystery of being human, the theme of the Science and Nonduality (SAND) conference in California in October In other words, to develop the coordinating framework for all knowledge, I have needed to take a complete break from the whole of evolutionary history, recognizing that, in Reality, all change in the Universe takes place in the Eternal Now, in the vertical dimension. The Universe is thus designed in the most beautifully elegant manner, which seems unbelievable in terms of what we learn from the cultures we are born into. Evolution can only reach its glorious culmination when Self-reflective intelligent beings discover who they truly are by standing outside themselves, rather like astronauts looking at the Earth as an undivided whole when returning from the Moon. What has brought about this epoch-making transformation of consciousness is the fundamental law of the Universe, which Heraclitus called the Hidden Harmony, which Aristotle rejected, sending Western thought into the evolutionary cul-de-sac it finds itself in today. For myself, I found this irrefutable truth -3-

Panosophical Bibliography in the principle of duality in projective geometry and Boolean algebra, which has evolved into the Principle of Unity, stating Wholeness is the union of all opposites. This universal truth, which can be expressed in the notation of mathematical logic as the Cosmic Equation, cannot be proven to be true from any set of axioms as self-evident or assumed truths because it arises directly from the Origin of the Universe. It is the key that opens the innermost secrets of the Cosmos, once the monsters and demons protecting the sacred treasure are conquered. Social environment Although all change in the Universe takes place in the Eternal Now, it has taken me some forty years of reading, thinking, and writing to understand, with hindsight, what has been happening to me all these years, for the previous thirty-six years since my conception, and to humanity since our forebears began their lives of cognitive development some 40 to 60,000 years ago, like infants in adult bodies. During these four decades, while I have been aware of my social environment, I have needed to distance myself from society as much as possible, so that I could discover what it truly means to be a human being as my Authentic Self without external influences. For I had discovered as an adolescent that what was taught to me at church, school, and university in religion, science, economics, and mathematical logic does not lead to Love, Peace, Wholeness, and the Truth. I have thus been following a well-trodden path, which Anthony Storr illustrated in Solitude, saying, The majority of poets, novelists, composers, and, to a lesser extent, of painters and sculptors, are bound to spend a great deal of time alone, quoting Edward Gibbon as saying, Conversation enriches the understanding, but solitude is the school of genius; and the uniformity of a work denotes the hand of a single artist. In a similar manner, J. Krishnamurti said, It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society. I became a rebellious teenager, questioning the assumptions of the culture I was born into in a spirit of curiosity, because early behaviour patterns tend to repeat themselves later in life, laying down a shadow in our psyches. So although I have had a reasonably successful business career and have enjoyed a number of intimate loving relationships, I have needed to live mostly in solitude for the second half of my life, free as much as possible of my mechanistic cultural conditioning. Having learnt almost nothing at school and university, I had little to unlearn when I set out on a life of learning as an autodidact two days before my thirty-eighth birthday in The only authority for my own cognitive development since then has been my inner guru, which Greeks and Romans called Daimon and Genius, respectively, as a guiding spirit. This is a complete break from the way most people learn from external authorities in their lives, like the guru-disciple relationship in Eastern mystical traditions. Yes, awakened beings can mirror our True Nature. But guru, which means dispeller of darkness, can only act within, beyond all categories, such as space and time. So discovering what it truly means to be a human being cannot be taught. Such an understanding cannot really be transmitted from one being to another. What this means is that those who have been educated in the conventional manner tend to see my writings and me through filters, not fully understanding what I am saying. For the most part, only those in touch with their True Nature, Divine Essence, and Cosmic Soul, as Love, can intuitively see the authenticity of my writings, which are merely on the surface of things, representing life experiences of the utmost depth and breadth. So if we are to understand what is happening to us all as a species, we need to engage in self-inquiry, free, as much as possible, of attachment to the past and future and the cultural taboos that limit our fullest potential as individuals and as a species. -4-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science Most significantly, to realize my fullest potential as a superintelligent, superconscious Divine, Cosmic being, I have needed to be free of the constraints of the economic machine, adopting the most radical change in the work ethic since our forebears began to settle in villages to cultivate the land and domesticate animals some 10,000 years ago. If I were to realize Love and Peace in the Eternal Now, I could not do so by fighting my fellow human beings for a slice of the finite monetary cake. For while Money is a very old convenience, as John Kenneth Galbraith said, it has nevertheless financed wars throughout history. Attachment to money, as an immortality symbol, is the most divisive force on the planet, the root cause of much cruelty and suffering, like attachment to religious immortality symbols, which give many a precarious sense of security and identity in life, out of touch with the Immortal Ground of Being that we all share. Another major difficulty in communicating this cosmology of cosmologies is that of language. The English language has evolved during the past thousand years and more to denote a materialistic, mechanistic view of the world we live in that is not based on the Truth. To address this problem, I have needed to change the meanings of many words, going back to their Proto-Indo-European (PIE) roots as much as possible, with what Bohm aptly called the archaeology of language. Some of these linguistic changes, the most important of which is Universe, are contained in the Glossary on the website for the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics, intended to consummate the union of science and spirituality, still under development. It is thus not easy to engage in social intercourse with my contemporaries, some of whom tell me that I am a man living many years ahead of our times, of little value to them, as they face their own challenges in life within the dysfunctional economic system. Nevertheless, I press on regardless, enjoying myself as much as possible each moment. Inspired by the final chapter in Bhagavad Gita, it is important for me to engage in creative activity without egoic concern for the possible fruits and downsides of these endeavours. Without being an external authority to others, it looks as if it is my responsibility and life s purpose to complete the final revolution in science that has been unfolding since 1986, when Willis Harman, then president of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), said at a new paradigm conference, Most educated people in this country [the USA] would think it pretty preposterous to suggest that the change that is taking place is at as deep a level as the change that took place during the Scientific Revolution, because that would imply, of course, that the near future the early part of the next century would be as different from present times as present times are from the Middle Ages. But whether it is the Universe s intention for Paul Hague to publicly complete the final revolution in science, nobody can tell, not even the Supreme Being, which is inseparable from all beings in the relativistic world of form, like you and me. All we can know is that if this is meant to happen, it would make my name as famous as those of Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Albert Einstein. This is not something that anyone wants to happen, especially me. But if that is my social destiny, so be it. In the meantime, I am currently seeking to find closure with my life s work with two complementary documents, this one you are reading now and the other on My Writing Career from 1978 to 2018, chronologically listing most of my writings during this period, together with a few biographical snippets describing some of the circumstances of my life at the time of writing. This document on my Panosophical Bibliography contains a structured presentation of my more mature writings since 2013, as I set out to present the solution to the ultimate problem in human learning to other leading evolutionaries, who, for the most part, ignore and reject what I am offering, for reasons that are as much about me as about them, as I describe in this bibliography. -5-

Some prophecies Panosophical Bibliography As scientists and technologists are driving the pace of evolutionary change in society at unprecedented rates of acceleration, we cannot understand what is causing us to behave in this ignorant manner without an unprecedented system of thought. Given the turbulent state of the world, we need to follow Einstein s observation that you cannot solve a problem with the mindset that created it. This is one of many paraphrases of a statement he made in an article titled The Real Problem Is in the Hearts of Men, published in the New York Times Magazine on 23rd June 1946, which began with these words: Many persons have inquired concerning a recent message of mine that a new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move to higher levels. He then went on to write, Past thinking and methods did not prevent world wars. Future thinking must prevent wars. For, as he said in an address at the fifth Nobel anniversary dinner in New York on 10th December 1945, The war is won, but the peace is not. The great powers, united in fighting, are now divided over the peace settlements. As what I am offering the world cannot be understood with existing systems of thought, to communicate what I can see with my inner eye which I call Self-reflective Intelligence, as the eyesight of Consciousness I can only paradoxically do so in terms of prophecies that other visionaries have made through the ages, as evolution has become increasingly conscious of itself. First, the scientific mystic Pierre Teilhard de Chardin saw in the 1920s and 30s that we can only understand evolution as a whole in terms of the human phenomenon at the leading edge of evolution. So in a book posthumously published with this title, he visualized evolution in four stages since the most recent big bang: physical, biological, noological or mental, and spiritual. Most significantly, the transition between the third and fourth stages would come about when all the divergent streams of evolution converge in a kind of megasynthesis at evolution s glorious culmination its Omega Point, inseparable from the Alpha Point. This vision led him to say, The way out for the world, the gates of the future, the entry into the superhuman, will not open ahead to some privileged few, or to a single people, elect among all peoples. They will yield only to the thrust of all together in the direction where all can rejoin and complete one another in a spiritual renewal of the Earth. Another who is talking much about the emergence of a superhuman species is my contemporary Ken Wilber, whose evolutionary studies I have been following for the past thirty-five years. Ken s basic construct for his studies is the spectrum of consciousness, the title of his first book in 1977, when he was just twenty-eight, much influenced by spiritual traditions. He has been taking both a phylogenetic and ontogenetic perspective, Subconscious Matrifocal Prepersonal Self-conscious Patriarchal Personal Superconscious Androgynous Transpersonal Formless Alpha/Omega Point of Evolution presenting the former in 1981 in this diagram, which I have slightly modified. For me, the last two stages of human development in this three-stage model roughly correspond to Teilhard s final two stages, with the first stage marking the transitional period from biogenesis to noogenesis, lasting tens of thousands of years. To turn the spectrum of consciousness into an evolutionary model, in Sex, Ecology, Spirituality: The Spirit of Evolution in 1995, Ken introduced his AQAL model of development, short for all quadrants, all levels, which is short for all quadrants, all levels, all lines, all states, all types. This model has evolved from a synthesis of many different models of human development based on studies of how we have been learning in the past. Then in 2006 in Integral Spirituality: A Startling New Role for Religion in the Modern -6-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science and Postmodern World, Ken called his model an Integral Operating System or IOS, a neutral framework that can be used to bring more clarity, care, and comprehensiveness to virtually any situation. Since April 2014, this IOS has been called a Superhuman Operating System, which Ken has been teaching in a ten-module Internet course, intended to Install a Revolutionary New Operating System for Your Mind to Illuminate the Full Spectrum of Your Human Potential, and Become the Greatest Possible Version of Yourself. I did this course in the winter of 2018, learning of some differences between his books and the course, which can perhaps best be understood in terms of a revised model that more accurately matches my experiences: Prenatal Egocentric First tier Ethnocentric Anthropocentric Second tier First, Ken says that human cognitive development begins at birth, when in my experience it begins at conception, as Stanislav Grof, in particular, points out. For the body and psyche, as mind and soul, are never separate from each other for an instant, despite widespread contrary beliefs. Secondly, the second tier, which is levels seven and eight in Integral Spirituality, has become just seven on the course, where teal and turquoise merge in turquoise. This is the Integral or Worldcentric level, a coherent transformation of the Egocentric and Ethnocentric levels. This tier is the major focus of the training, for this is where the market is greatest, with around five percent of the population moving into this level. The key point here, as Ken said on the course, is that those at any one level in the spectrum of consciousness can only see lower levels, not higher ones. Nevertheless, Ken has an inkling of the third tier from his studies of spiritual traditions. He calls it Kosmocentric, defining it in a conversation with Andrew Cohen in the What is Enlightenment? magazine in 2007 as an identification with all life and consciousness, human or otherwise, and a deeply felt responsibility for the evolutionary process as a whole an emergent capacity, rarely seen anywhere. In the final reboot module of the Superhuman OS course, Ken calls this tier Superintegral, just level eight, a change from his original models. In Sex, Ecology, Spirituality the four levels in the third tier are labelled Psychic, Subtle, Causal, and Nondual and in Integral Spirituality these levels are labelled Illumined Mind, Intuitive Mind, Overmind, and Supermind. In my own writings, I am primarily concerned with the highest and deepest levels, labelled Supermind and Nondual, respectively, for these are the most relevant in my own experience. The central problem here, it seems to me, is that Ken has conflated evolution and involution, using these terms in a way that does not match my experiences. In Up from Eden: A Transpersonal View of Human Evolution, from 1981, Ken writes, Thus history, from this viewpoint [the Great Chain of Being], is basically the unfolding of those successively higher-order structures, starting from the lowest (matter and body) and ending with the highest (spirit and ultimate wholeness). Then, in Eye to Eye from 1984, he writes, If the movement from lower to higher is evolution, then the A B C reverse, the movement from the higher to the lower, is involution, drawing this figure, which we need to rotate anticlockwise ninety degrees. He has inherited this horizontal view of time from Aurobindo, who wrote, The word evolution carries with it in its intrinsic sense, in the idea at its root the necessity of a previous involution. -7- Geocentric Cosmocentric Numinocentric Third tier Holoramic E V O L U T I O N I N V O L U T I O N

Panosophical Bibliography So if we are to bring the Divine power of Life into science and business, re-invigorating society, the transition into the Superintegral third tier of the spectrum of consciousness will be a giant leap compared to the gentle hop from the first to the second tier. For instance, Jean Houston calls the changes that evolution is making today Jump Time, writing, Jump Time is a whole system transition, a condition of interactive change that affects every aspect of life as we know it. As she says, Ours is an era of quantum change, the most radical deconstruction and reconstruction the world has seen. Similarly, John Petersen, founder of the Arlington Institute, says we are currently entering a historical, epochal change a rapid global shift unlike any our species has lived through in the past. There are no direction-pointing precedents for what is coming, there is no one alive today who [has] lived through anything like what we re anticipating. Intelligently adapting to the momentous changes that are taking place in the world today is absolutely essential if we are to rise above the level of our machines as superintelligent human beings. For another who is talking about the emergence of superhuman beings is Nick Bostrom, the Director of the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University, founded and funded by James Martin, a fellow IBM alumnus. But rather than apply the epithet to us humans, in Superintelligence, Nick Bostrom applies it to the ability of computers to beat humans at games, such as Chess, Othello, and Jeopardy! Since he wrote this book, DeepMind s AlphaGo has defeated a 9-dan Go champion using a deep learning technique, even starting from scratch, without the patterns of previous games as models. These games are well-structured, albeit of immense complexity. Vernor Vinge also used the word superhuman in 1993 in a NASA paper titled What is the Singularity? : Within thirty years, we will have the technological means to create superhuman intelligence [in machines]. Shortly after, the human era will be ended. Similarly, Stephen Hawking, much eulogized when he died on 14th March 2018, told the BBC on 2nd December 2014, The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. Well, these are prophecies that are based on a misunderstanding of what it truly means to be a human being, which, as I have said, I have only realized by starting afresh at the very beginning, as I must now describe. Starting afresh at the very beginning I puzzled about Ken Wilber s concepts of evolution and involution for a quarter of a century, trying to make sense of them in my own experience. In the event, it was not until I went on retreat in 2008 in the Altai Mountains in Siberia, the original home of the shamans, that I was able to formulate definitions of these key terms that match my experiences. For me, evolution is the growing movement from Formless Stillness to the ever-changing world of forms both physical and nonphysical while involution is the reverse dying movement, both taking place in the Eternal Now. On my return to Sweden, feeling the creative energy of the Divine emerging within me directly from the Origin of the Cosmos, experienced as Consciousness, I set about the gigantic task of rewriting all my books and articles from this revised understanding of evolution. To explain this, I need to go back to what happened to me during the winter and spring of The previous year, when I was leading an innovative European marketing programme with IBM in London, at the birth of the Information Society, I began to be deeply concerned about our lack of understanding of what a computer is, what it truly means to be a human being, and the long term psychological and economic consequences of humanity s growing dependency on information technology. Specifically, I could see that, following the invention of the stored-program computer in the late 1940s, -8-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science the global economy contains the seeds of its own destruction within it and that it would most probably collapse in my lifetime, when my two children could well be bringing up children of their own, as my daughter is doing. So I set out to discover what is causing the pace of change in society to accelerate exponentially and how we could live our lives together in Love, Peace, and harmony in the Age of Light following the meltdown of the dysfunctional global economy. However, it is very difficult to explain how I set out to solve these problems, even to my colleagues in the information technology industry. For the features that existed then in programming languages and business modelling methods are rarely presented so explicitly in the tools used by information systems architects and software developers today. Nevertheless, I feel that I must outline the solution. Otherwise nothing else that follows makes sense from an evolutionary cognitive perspective in contrast to an experiential one. While the ultimate goal was to develop a comprehensive model of the psychodynamics of society, exploring how we humans communicate with each other including our self-reflective selves I first needed to study the way that humans interact with computers in timesharing systems. This was a technology that I had become closely involved with in January 1974, when I was appointed the systems engineering manager responsible for ensuring that the first computer that the British Post Office (now British Telecom) had bought from IBM passed its acceptance test. My studies into the underlying structures of these human-machine interactive systems began in the late 1970s, when IBM had a marketing programme with the slogan Manage data as a corporate resource, recognizing that the intangible beings of data and information have enormous influence on the way that we live our lives, as the turmoil around Facebook and Google indicates today. But what is data? In stored-program computers, programs are stored in main memory along with the data, such as numbers and strings, which they process. So, in principle, it is possible for computer programs to modify themselves in mid-flight. But does this mean that a computer could program itself without human intervention? Could I answer Alan Turing s question, posed in 1950, Can machines think? To answer these questions, I set out to model programs in A Programming Language (APL) in IBM s Business Systems Planning (BSP) methodology, then its primary business modelling system. At the time, APL was IBM s primary query language and management information tool, with some rather unusual characteristics, such as powerful operators that work on matrices in their entirety. Most significantly, APL uniquely has systems functions that convert strings of characters into executable functions and vice versa, as active and passive data, which I set out to model in the process-entity matrix in BSP, showing the relationships between BSP s process and entity models, as active and passive data. It was while puzzling about the way that APL matrix operators and system functions were helping to drive the exponential rate of change that my colleagues in IBM and elsewhere were causing that I had the life-changing epiphany that active and passive data in computers are two forms of energy, not unlike the two forms of mechanical energy kinetic and potential. In humans, these correspond to the facts we know and the skills we know how to perform; we know that and we know how, as Gilbert Ryle saw. This apocalyptic awakening happened at 11:30 on Sunday 27th April 1980, when I was strolling across Wimbledon Common to the pub for lunch. At the time, I told my friends that this experience felt as if a dam had burst in my psyche, releasing an abundance of energy that had been held back for the previous thirty-eight years by my mechanistic cultural conditioning. I have also likened it to a tsunami, destroying everything in its path, so that I could create a brand-new map of the Universe that would unify the psychospiritual energies that are acting through us all with the four forces recognized by physicists. In -9-

Panosophical Bibliography effect, a big bang erupted in the utmost depths of my psyche, enabling me to discover what the Universe really is and how it is designed, which I had set out to discover as a seven-year-old. To rationally explain this great awakening, I use the metaphor of a computer for my cognitive development, not unlike Ken Wilber. Rather than writing computer programs to try to simulate human intelligence, I have reversed this process in a thought experiment, not unlike those that Einstein used to develop the special and general theories of relativity. I imagined that I was a computer that turned itself off and on again so that it did not have any programs within it, not even a bootstrap program to load the operating system. Without a human programmer telling it how to learn, this machine then had the task of integrating all knowledge in all disciplines and cultures at all times into a coherent whole, today known as the Theory of Everything. This wonderful awakening experience tells me that evolution comes first, not involution. Following the line of cognitive intelligence in Ken Wilber s model of development, evolution has carried me into the Superintegral third tier and beyond, enabling me to view the Totality of Existence from a Holoramic Whole-seeing vantage point. So Integral Relational Logic is an all-inclusive and all-powerful Superhuman Operating System, able to manage all IOSs, including both AQAL and itself, like IBM s virtual machine operating system (VM), which I first saw running at IBM s software development laboratory in the UK in Structure of writings Viewing Integral Relational Logic as the Superhuman Operating System that manages all operating systems as both cognitive mapmaking methods and psychoactive conceptual models helps me to structure all my writings as a whole. But first, I need to describe the results of my inner journey. Because everybody uses IRL to form concepts and organize ideas, my own individual consciousness has broadened and deepened to such an extent that it has become coterminous with Consciousness itself, as the union of Cosmic and Unity Consciousness. This means that there is nothing outside me. I am looking at the Totality of Existence as a megasynthesis of everyone s theories, opinions, points of view, beliefs, ideas, concepts, values, principles, propositions, theorems, etc., in all cultures and disciplines at all times, past, present, and future. In so doing, I am following the advice of E. F. Schumacher in A Guide for the Perplexed, who said, Our task is to look at the world and see it whole, which requires us to follow the fundamental maxim of mapmaking, Accept everything; reject nothing. For instance, both the heliocentric and geocentric models of the solar system are contained in Consciousness, with the attributes true and false, respectively. If I were to reject one in favour of the other, excluding it from Consciousness, I would not be able to see the Totality of Existence as it is, rather than how I would like it to be. This fundamental allinclusive principle extends into the whole of my cognitive development, indicating that there are no moral imperatives or absolute ideals, which lead to much conflict in society. Using the metaphor of a computer for our mapmaking activities, IRL is the Superintegral Operating System that runs multitudes of other operating systems and applications. This is similar to the structure of Ken Wilber s Superhuman OS training, with five installations downloaded from external authorities, running three applications. This structure is also similar to the writings of René Descartes, who had a dream in 1619 of the unification and the illumination of the whole of science, even the whole of knowledge, by one and the same method: the method of reason. He eventually published an expression of his dream in 1637 as -10-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science Discourse on the Method for Rightly Directing One s Reason and Searching for Truth in the Sciences, to give his seminal work its full title. This was followed four years later with Meditations on First Philosophy, in which Descartes separated mind and matter, known today as Cartesian dualism, which is built into the whole of Western thought, on the widespread belief that humans are machines and nothing but machines. To illustrate how his method could be applied in practice, Descartes wrote three additional works titled Optics, Geometry, and Meteorology. His book on Geometry marked a major turning point in the history of mathematics, for it showed how geometric forms in Euclidean space could be studied algebraically, using what are today called Cartesian coordinates. Descartes did not intend Geometry to be studied independently of the Discourse with its famous statement Cogito, ergo sum or for the Discourse to be read independently of the other three essays. However, this is just what happened. As he wrote in a letter to the mathematical friar Marin Mersenne, he did not intend to teach his method, but only to speak about it to solve practical problems. This is similar to the relationship of Integral Relational Logic to all knowledge, which are inseparable from each other. As the Universal Modelling Method, IRL sheds fresh light on all cultures and disciplines, which are only fully understandable within and on the Cosmic Context and Gnostic Foundation of the Grand Design of the Universe, presented on the first page. And as IRL has evolved from the information modelling methods underlying the Internet, it could provide the infrastructure of a life-enhancing Sharing Economy, designed to give everyone the opportunity to realize their fullest potential as human beings. However, this Utopian vision is something of a chicken-and-egg problem. Cocreating such a harmonious society is only possible with third-tier consciousness, providing the coherent light necessary for Self-reflective Intelligence to function most efficaciously. Even though developing this universal system of thought has sent me into rapturous ecstasy at times, its presentation looks rather stark, like looking at a skeleton underlying the flesh of our bodies or the steel framework of a skyscraper. Nevertheless, as we all intuitively use IRL everyday, specialists should be able to understand the applications without understanding the technicalities of the method. All that is needed is to question the assumptions that we have inherited from the cultures and subcultures we live in, discovering our shared identity, as Love. Then, all is Light! Wholeness trilogy (2013) The definitive statement of my life s work is contained in a 1,300-page book titled Wholeness: The Union of All Opposites, in three parts: Integral Relational Logic, The Unified Relationships Theory, and Our Evolutionary Story. An alternative title for this trilogy is Semantic Principles of Natural Philosophy to indicate that it is intended to complete the final revolution in science, just as Isaac Newton s Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy completed the first in However, I have put this book on hold since January 2013, essentially because I m not sure that anyone will ever read it. For the most part, I write for myself in order to heal my fragmented, split mind in Wholeness. So, for me, writing is a therapeutic exercise, giving me much joy and satisfaction in the creative process. But how can I convey this joy to others? The situation I face in life is rather like a professional mathematician enjoying the elegant simplicity of a mathematical proof, which only a few have the necessary background to understand. Yet, what I am endeavouring to communicate is simplicity itself, all brought into existence through the action of the fundamental law of the Cosmos, which states that opposites are never separate from each -11-

Panosophical Bibliography other in Reality. Assimilating this simple idea in consciousness transforming conflict-ridden either-or thinking into a harmonious both-and way of life is all that is needed for us humans to live in Love, Peace, and harmony with each other in the Age of Light. Nevertheless, I feel that the very existence of the Wholeness trilogy could help to complete the final revolution in science if suitably presented. But to do so, I need to briefly explain where it fits into the evolution of my writings, providing a context for all books and essays since then. The Wholeness trilogy went through three versions between 2007 and 2013, as I learned to understand the essential distinction between evolution and involution, free of Aurobindo and Ken Wilber s misguided conceptions. It marked the completion of my attempts to write my magnum opus as a single book, following four earlier attempts in 1983, 1992, 1999, and This particular version of the Theory of Everything is formatted as a cross-referenced three-volume book in Adobe FrameMaker running under Windows on my imac through Parallels Desktop. Its dimensions are 180 by 236 mm, a large book size. All my other recent writings are written in Microsoft Word in A4 format, with two exceptions. First, I presented the entire exposition on a single sheet of paper measuring by mm (8 by 4 feet) at the SAND conference in California in October The title of this poster presentation, developed in Adobe Illustrator, was The Two Dimensions of Time, addressing this theme that year: On the Edge of Time. Secondly, in May 2016, I wrote a twenty-eight-page booklet in A5 size in Adobe InDesign for the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics. Integral Relational Logic Volume I of the Wholeness trilogy contains a definitive statement of Integral Relational Logic, the most fundamental change in Western thought since Aristotle laid down its foundations in the Organon and Metaphysics in the fourth century BCE. This volume also contains the Prologue titled Setting Out, 63 pages long and the Glossary and Bibliography for all three volumes. Like the other volumes, it contains three indexes, for Word Roots, References and Influences, and General concepts. The 32-page Preface to Part I contains an overview of the watershed in the history of the dataprocessing industry that was taking place at the birth of the Information Society in the 1970s, the business management and modelling problem that arose from the radical transformation of the way that businesses were being organized, and an outline solution to this business management problem. The 141-page first chapter titled Starting Afresh at the Very Beginning was by far the most difficult to write, as I sought to describe a revolutionary way of modelling and mapping the Universe that goes back to first principles, free of any systems of thought that had existed before. In this regard, I was much influenced by the Collected Works of Charles Sanders Peirce, who came closer than any of my predecessors to solving the ultimate problem in human learning in the late 1800s and early 1900s. At the end of this chapter, I outline the primal concepts that constitute the bootstrap program that has enabled the Logos to lift me up by my bootstraps, getting the show on the road, showing how they have evolved from Plato s Republic and Aristotle s Organon. This is a significant difference from Ken Wilber s reboot method for his Superhuman Operating System, which does not distinguish the bootstrap program called Initial Orders in EDSAC, the first practical stored-program computer to be built at Cambridge University in 1949 from the operating system, itself. The bootstrap program begins with the meaningless Datum of the Universe, from Latin dare to give; cause, these two meanings having different roots in the Proto-Indo-European language. For in the data- -12-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science processing industry information is data with meaning. The next primal concept is being, the most abstract ontological concept in Aristotle s Metaphysics. I then use the mathematical concept of set taught to eight-year-olds in the new maths in the 1960s to transform beings, as meaningless data patterns, into meaningful information and knowledge, without the need for the axioms of set theory. This basic semantic, interpretive process, providing meaning, leads to the next few primal concepts of class, entity as instance of class, attribute, structure, form, relationship, and dimension as domain of values, both quantitative and qualitative. This bootstrap program, which does not include the concepts of mass, space, and time, enables us to see that the underlying structure of the Cosmos is an infinitely dimensional network of hierarchical relationships. In other words, in Reality, we humans are all One, with no divisions between any of us anywhere. The other three chapters, titled Building Relationships, Unifying Opposites, and Transcending the Categories, 110 pages long, then show how these bootstrap concepts can be used to build the coordinating framework for the Unified Relationships Theory embodying all knowledge. But more than this. Using the Principle of Duality in Chapter 3, which shows how Ken Wilber s four-quadrants model can be represented in IRL, I show in the next chapter on transcending the categories how the conception of the Absolute can be formed in exactly the same way as any other concept. It is in this simple way that the concept of God becomes a rational, scientific one, no longer a mystery, encapsulated in Sanskrit in the beautiful word Satchitānanda Bliss of Absolute Truth and Consciousness. The purpose or meaning of life is thus to realize the Meaninglessness of the Absolute, free of the sense of a separate self. It is not to beget children indefinitely for eternity. The Unified Relationships Theory As the concepts of mass, space, and time are treated like all other concepts in IRL, Volume II on the Unified Relationships Theory, as an application of the all-inclusive Superhuman Operating System, focuses attention on our rapidly changing world, the original purpose of this treatise. The main text of this volume is 230 pages, the shortest of the three volumes, for it focuses mainly on the technicalities of the Theory of Everything as they had evolved during the first thirty years of my studies. Chapter 5 An Integral Science of Causality, which I could probably improve if I had the time, addresses the basic issue of causality that has puzzled humans since Aristotle s four causes, described in Physics, shedding some light on the mysterious relationship between entropy, energy, and information. The next chapter A Holistic Theory of Evolution is one of the most important, painting a picture of how the notion of meaningful synergistic, structure-forming relationships can explain what is causing the pace of change in society to accelerate exponentially, bringing an end to the 5,000-year patriarchal epoch and its twenty-odd, conflict-ridden civilizations. The last three chapters in Part II are rather technical and mathematical, titled The Growth of Structure, Limits of Technology, and An Evolutionary Cul-de-Sac. I wrote them to establish the scientific credentials of this entire treatise even with the most died-in-the-wool sceptics. However, this might not be too easy, for these chapters describe a vitalistic way of looking at the architecture of computer science and mathematics that is highly original, which I have not seen anywhere else. Our Evolutionary Story As I learned almost nothing at school and university, unlike my friends and contemporaries, who had successful academic careers, to understand what they could see, I spent the early years of this decade -13-

Panosophical Bibliography exploring our evolutionary story as a species from birth to death, evolving from the great apes. As it is far from clear how and when Homo sapiens could die, the last chapters in this third volume are incomplete, explored to some extent in my later books. Chapter 10 Entering Paradise begins with human biogenesis within the taxonomic order of primate, continuing through a series of ice ages into the Great Mother Goddess epoch, a period of comparative peace, as the myths, such as the Garden of Eden, Krita- or Satya-Yuga, and Shambhala, indicate. The next chapter The Evolution of the Mind is the longest in the book at 206 pages and one of the most fun to research and write, as I developed a reasonably coherent picture of noogenesis during the past 5,000 years since the Fall, when the analytical mind came into its full power, failing to understand the Hidden Harmony that governs the Cosmos and hence all our lives. Arthur J. Toynbee s 12-volume A Study of History, describing the rise and fall of some twenty civilizations during the patriarchal epoch, provides the overall framework for this chapter, as Western civilization came to dominate the world. I was particularly interested in the thinking that led to the first revolution in science, which I studied following a visit in 2010 to Tycho Brahe s observatory on the island of Hven in Öresund between Sweden and Denmark (today called Ven). This led me to discover the genius of Johannes Kepler, calculating the orbit of the Earth around the Sun through a thought experiment, by imagining that he was standing on Mars, observing the Earth. But as the evolution of the Western mind entered the Age of Reason and Enlightenment, I could not finish this chapter, as I had intended. It was far too painful to look at how Western thought moved further and further away from Reality, as materialism, mechanism, capitalism, communism, and many philosophical isms came to dominate our social and cultural affairs, in the erroneous belief that we humans are separate from each other and the Divine. Chapter 12 The Crisis of the Mind explores this problem, looking at what progress has so far been made into healing our sick society by transforming the seven pillars of unwisdom on which Western civilization is based into the seven pillars of wisdom on which the Age of Light could be cocreated. My intention was to answer many unanswered questions in science, which cannot be answered with traditional systems of thought within a materialistic, mechanistic worldview. But once again, this chapter is incomplete. As the death of Homo sapiens is getting closer and closer, this life-and-death issue became the most urgent focus of my attention. Attempting to take as positive an outlook as possible, Chapter 13 The Prospects for Humanity, 104 pages long, looks at some of the existential risks facing humanity today and how they could trigger the awakening of Total Revolution. For, as Vimala Thakar said in Spirituality and Social Action: A Holistic Approach, such a cultural revolution is the only way in which humanity can thrive and survive for as long as possible. The final chapter in the Wholeness trilogy then outlines the governance of society in the Age of Light, which could theoretically come about through the great awakening of intelligence and consciousness, far greater than where we have reached today. For all systems of governance, including democracy, which have been studied since Plato and Arisotle s times, are unworkable in these rapidly changing times. Human society is ungovernable with egocentric and ethnocentric levels of consciousness, which are in denial of the fundamental law of the Universe. The only viable system of governance is when all cells in the body politic are aware that Wholeness is the union of all opposites. Again, this chapter is unfinished, especially the section on the Sharing Economy, requiring us to make a radical change to the work ethic, -14-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science recognizing that we are all One, never separate from any other being, including the Supreme Being, for an instant. Other books The only book that I have published so far in December 2004 is titled The Paragonian Manifesto: Revealing the Coherent Light of Consciousness. I wrote it following a series of cathartic satoris or kenshos in the mountains of Norway and forests of Sweden during the previous two years. I then had the experimental evidence for the Reality of the Divine, having used the principle of duality in mathematics to form the concept of the Absolute some twenty years earlier. God had become a rational, scientific concept, known with Absolute certainty. As Integral Relational Logic provides the Cosmic Context, Gnostic Foundation, and coordinating framework for a comprehensive model of the psychodynamics of society, having evolved from the business modelling methods that underlie the Internet, this book was intended as a spiritual replacement for Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels The Communist Manifesto, published in 1848, albeit about four times longer in paperback format. In my naive idealism, I felt that there is such a deep longing in the human heart and soul to live in love, peace, and harmony and so much unfulfilled potential that this book would eventually sell millions. I could not have been more wrong, sending a gigantic shock to my system from which I am still recovering. Neither the world nor I were ready for such a peaceful cultural revolution. I had coined the word paragonian on 29th October 1984, following several weeks searching Greek and Latin dictionaries in Wimbledon library in London. The word derives from the Greek words para beyond, and agon contest or conflict, a word that is also the root of agony, until the 17th century meaning mental stress, antagonist a person who one struggles against, and protagonist leading person in a contest. Paragonian thus means beyond conflict and suffering, a healthy, liberated, and awakened way of being that we can realize when we are both unified with the Divine and integrated with the Cosmos; when we base our lives firmly and squarely on the Principle of Unity, the fundamental law of the Universe. Paragonian thus denotes the essence of Advaita ( not-two ) in a word with a Western etymology. When I published my first book, I set up a firm named Paragonian Publications, which enabled me to obtain ten ISBNs from the Swedish National Library, which issues such book numbers. I allocated ISBNs to the Wholeness trilogy and its three parts, leaving five unallocated for my more mature writings. One I still plan to write, provisionally titled Mapping Mathematics as an Emergent, Generative Science of Patterns and Relationships, showing how Integral Relational Logic dives beneath the foundations of mathematics, as they have been understood since This book, if it is ever written, will show how mathematics emerges directly from our Divine Source, freeing it from its axiomatic, mechanistic constraints, partly outlined in my other books. The remainder of this section outlines the four books I have written during this decade. Rather than starting afresh at the very beginning, as in the Wholeness trilogy, as a generalist, I have written these books in an attempt to reach out to specialists, albeit within the transdiscipline of Panosophy, still living predominantly in the horizontal dimension of time of past and future, despite the popularity of Eckhart Tolle s book The Power of Now, which has sold several million copies. The Principle of Unity (2012) As I was enthusiastically organizing the world s knowledge into a coherent whole within the coordinating framework of Integral Relational Logic, in 2012 I felt the need to write a book that those who did not -15-

Panosophical Bibliography consciously use this universal system of thought in their studies might understand. Nevertheless, I felt that it was imperative that people understand the role of the Principle of Unity in the Universe and hence in our thinking. So this book is titled The Principle of Unity: Living The Unified Relationships Theory Intelligently and Peacefully at the End of Time. This diagram shows the relationship of the Principle of Unity to the Origin of the Universe and to Integral Relational Logic, providing the framework for all knowledge. Integral Relational Logic This 204-page book is focused on the exploration of what it truly means to be a human being. In the Abstract, it points out that I am not Principle of Unity attempting to teach anyone anything. Rather, by describing a little of my Origin of the Universe inner journey, I trusted that this openness could help others with their own self-inquiries. Accordingly, the three parts in these book address three of the biggest existential questions we can ask ourselves: Who are we?, Where do we come from?, and Where are we going? Part I Who are we?, addresses the problem of separation, pointing out that this has led us to become out of touch with our shared identity as Love, leading Western civilization to be built on seven pillars of unwisdom, misconceptions of God, Universe, Life, humanity, money, justice, and reason. So if we are to discover what it truly means to be a human being, we need a quite new approach to scientific method and logical reasoning, based on the seven pillars of wisdom. Part II Where do we come from? naturally provides an evolutionary perspective, emphasizing the two dimensions of time, both horizontal and vertical. To show that we humans live primarily in the vertical, in the Eternal Now, this part outlines some features of the architecture of computer systems, showing how their basic structures of tables and networks are mirrored in our thinking as humans. In so doing, it shows how we can overcome the dogmatism of the second law of thermodynamics, which asserts that the growth we see all around us is impossible, at best described as self-organizing systems. Answering the question Where are we going? in Part III is the most difficult because this depends on to what extent evolution could awaken intelligence and consciousness within us. There is much enthusiasm for a New Age and New Story, with many looking at the future through rose-tinted glasses. Yet, what Abraham Maslow called the Jonah Syndome is a major inhibitor, preventing us from realizing our fullest potential as humans before the inevitable extinction of our species. Remembering that my life s purpose is to complete the final revolution in science, all three parts are interspersed with mathematical constructs, which many readers may need to skip over in order to intuitively see and feel the Big Picture underlying all the diagrams, words, and mathematical signs. The Theory of Everything (2014) The next book, titled The Theory of Everything: Unifying Polarizing Opposites in Nondual Wholeness, was inspired by this advertisement on the front cover on an issue of the New Scientist magazine that I serendipitously discovered in 2005, when I was visiting London to promote my first book The Paragonian Manifesto. The New Scientist magazine made its appeal despite the existence of many books with the words Theory of Everything in their titles. For none, yet far, has managed to solve the ultimate problem in human learning. This made me feel like the boy in Aesop s Fables who cried out Wolf! Wolf! when a wolf was not there. After so many claiming this golden prize, if someone actually presented the genuine Theory of Everything, nobody would believe him. -16-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science To overcome this problem, I realized that I could not start at the logical beginning, at the Divine Origin of the Universe, presenting Integral Relational Logic as the Cosmic Foundation and coordinating framework for a megasynthesis of all knowledge. Rather, I attempted to show how this universal system of thought and consciousness has evolved from the past, unifying holographic mathematical logic and mystical psychology, as the two most fundamental sciences of the mind. In writing this book, I was seeking to complete Einstein s Unfinished Symphony, the title of a Horizon drama documentary that the BBC originally broadcast in the UK in As Michio Kaku said, if Einstein had been successful in his aim of developing what he called the unified field theory, The theory of everything would have been the holy grail of science; it would have been the philosophers stone. It would have been the crowning achievement of all scientific endeavours ever since humans walked the face of the Earth. However, we need to note that in today s postmodern society, there is much scepticism about a grand narrative that can explain all our experiences from the mystical to the mundane. For instance, the foremost integral philosopher Ken Wilber wrote in A Theory of Everything that the dream of a fully holistic body of knowledge is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that we will never reach. And Martin Rees, the Astronomer Royal in the UK, has said, A so-called theory of everything would actually offer absolutely zero help to ninety-nine percent of scientists. To overcome this problem, I had great fun presenting the life and work of several previous pursuers of the dream, namely Roger and Francis Bacon, Johannes Kepler, René Descartes, Jan Ámos Komenský (Comenius), Isaac Newton, Charles Sanders Peirce, Albert Einstein, and David Bohm. I then presented the evolution of scientific method and mathematical mapmaking, showing how their deficiencies could be overcome by awakening Self-reflective Intelligence with the voice of experience. After outlining Integral Relational Logic, I then presented a holistic theory of evolution that explains what is causing scientists and technologists to drive the pace of change in society at exponential rates of acceleration. The final chapter is titled Living the Vision, inspired by Comenius proposal for a Pansophic College based on Universal Wisdom and Light, rejected by the founders of the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge in the middle of the 1600s. The Four Spheres (2015) Continuing the evolutionary theme, in the autumn of 2015, I felt moved to present Pierre Teilhard de Chardin s four-stage model of evolution in a book titled The Four Spheres: Healing the Split between Mysticism and Science. These four spheres are Numinosphere, biosphere, noosphere, and hylosphere, a refinement of what Ken Wilber calls the great nest of being, completing the final revolution in science, begun when Kepler showed that the planets circle the Sun in ellipses, replacing Aristotle s cosmology, illustrated here. After a preamble on how this total transformation of consciousness can come about, I then wrote four satisfying chapters on the four spheres. I was particularly moved by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite s beautiful description of the Numinosphere in Mystical Theology, transcending all words and categories of thought. In the chapter on The Noosphere, once again I outlined Integral Relational Logic, showing that it will never be possible to build machines with Unmoved Mover -17-

Panosophical Bibliography artificial intelligence. The next chapter on The Biosphere shows how the taxonomy of taxonomies that is Integral Relational Logic can be used to map the evolution of the species, quoting Lynn Margulis and Dorion Sagan s view of Darwin s On the Origin of Species: in 500 pages of closely spaced type the title question on the origin of species [was] entirely circumvented abandoned, ignored, or coyly forgotten. So this chapter shows how we could bring Life back to biology, going beyond the notion of self-organizing systems, which denies the role of the Divine in creativity. We then come to the physical universe, which I call hylosphere, from Greek ulē matter, the least significant sphere. Once again we need to overcome the constraints that Aristotle imposed on Western thought. For the word physics derives from Aristotle s treatise Physics, a translation of Greek ta phusika, literally natural things, from phusis birth, origin; nature, inborn quality. In turn nature derives from Latin nātūra birth, from nātus, past participle of nāscī to be born, from PIE base *gene- to give birth, beget, also root of Greek genesis origin, birth, from which genetics and many similar words are derived. Yet, physicists and biologists do not study the natural origin or birth of things, even denying the very existence of the Divine Source that we all share. Rather, mystics are the true physicists, in touch with the supernatural Origin of the Universe, which is entirely natural. In Reality, everything in the world of form, including our bodies, minds, and souls, is born from the Natural Numinosphere, as Consciousness. So when we see that what is called supernatural is actually entirely natural, we can solve many problems that physicists are struggling with today. The final three chapters then look at the future of humanity. As evolution passes through its singularity in time, they explore the possibility of the many different theories of evolution being proposed today converging in an all-embracing theory, carrying us into the Age of Light. Yet, even if this is possible, we also need to be aware of the many existential risks facing humanity today, as Nick Bostrom, in particular, has pointed out. So I spent some pages weighing the probabilities that human extinction would happen sooner rather than later with the anthropic principle and Bayes theorem in mathematics. Maintaining a positive attitude despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the final chapter on the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics explores the possibility of completing the final revolution in science before our inevitable demise. In this regard, I am much inspired by Indra s Net of Jewels in Avatamsaka Sūtra Flower Ornament Scripture. For this ancient wisdom shows that none of us is ever separate from any other, an understanding that could help us to harmonize evolutionary convergence, the motto of the Alliance. Through Evolution s Accumulation Point (2016) The following winter, I wrote Through Evolution s Accumulation Point: Towards Its Glorious Culmination, tackling a vitally important problem that I had been avoiding since 2000 because I did not think that I had the mathematical skills to address. It was the development of an essay that I had written in 2011, titled The Singularity in Time: The Omega Point of Evolutionary Convergence, in preparation for presenting at the Science and Nonduality (SAND) conference that year on The Two Dimensions of Time. Taking the bull by the horns, I was delighted to discover that I had the skills to solve a problem that I had been puzzling over since I watched the first episode of David Attenborough s Life on Earth in 1979, showing the way that the pace of evolutionary development is accelerating exponentially. It is now some -18-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science 3.6 billion years since the first self-reproducing forms of life appeared on this planet. So if we consider 10 million years to be a day, we can map the whole of evolution on this planet to the days of the year. Using this model, if 1st January marks the birth of single-cell organisms, then the first multicellular organisms appeared in the middle of August, with sexual reproduction beginning about six weeks later. Other significant events during the late autumn were the emergence of fish, land plants, and reptiles. Then about the 10th December, both mammals and dinosaurs appeared, with mammals surviving the mass extinction that occurred on Christmas Day. This catastrophe enabled the primates to appear on Boxing Day, to be followed by the hominids four days later. Then on New Year s Eve, the first exemplars of the Homo genus appeared around teatime. The whole of human evolution has thus taken place during the evening of the last day of the year, with Homo sapiens being born about 23:59:30. As we rapidly approach midnight on 31st December, we can see that the whole of mental evolution in the noosphere has taken place during the last three or four seconds, with the computer age beginning less than a single tick of the clock earlier. Then in 2000, at a meeting of the Scientific and Medical Network in Sweden, I heard Nick Hoggard explain how such exponential rates of evolutionary development could be explained by viewing the whole of evolution since the most recent big bang as a single dynamical system, as this diagram illustrates. This logarithmic chart presents a geometric series, whose diminishing factor is the reciprocal of δ, the bifurcation velocity constant that Mitchell J. Feigenbaum had amazingly discovered among the bifurcation points in nonlinear difference equations. Using a simple calculation, it is not difficult to show that evolution s Accumulation Point in chaos theory was reached around 2004, give or take a couple of years, explaining why the world is disintegrating into chaos right now, with a few oases of self-similar order amongst the turmoil. However, after visiting California in 2011, Newcomb Greenleaf pointed out that there was a weakness in my essay on The Singularity in Time. It mentioned the logistic equation familiar as the S-shape of the growth or learning curve showing the effects of growth under constraint, like populations of animals. However, I did not mention its discrete counterpart, the logistic map, closely related to the nonlinear difference equations of fractal geometry, like the Mandelbrot set. This omission I rectified in Through Evolution s Accumulation Point, mathematically the most important of my books. For it explains, without the need to understand Integral Relational Logic, what is happening to all of us right now, as evolution passes through the most momentous turning point in its fourteen billion-year history. -19-

Panosophical Bibliography To explain this, Nick used the metaphor of a dripping tap, which is another bifurcating system, likening the accelerating pace of drips as the tap is turned on under laboratory conditions to the major evolutionary turning points of the past fourteen billion years. In a tap, its accumulation point is reached when the tap is turned full on and is no longer dripping. So we can liken the whole of evolution to a dripping tap. As it has recently passed through its Accumulation Point, evolution is now turned full on. There are no more distinct evolutionary turning points to be discerned. As Barbara Marx Hubbard says in Conscious Evolution, using somewhat different reasoning, this event is the most momentous since the big bang 13.8 billion years ago. Using the year 2000 as evolution s Accumulation Point rather than the winter solstice in 2012, marking the end of the Mayan calendar we can measure time before the beginning of this millennium as before Accumulation Point (BAP). Time after 2000 is thus post Accumulation Point (PAP). I have now reached the pinnacle of my studies into the root causes of our rapidly changing world, being driven by scientific discovery and technological development. What this means is that the 2020s could lead to a massive awakening of intelligence and consciousness, the most radical change in human history, far more revolutionary than the changes brought by the first scientific revolution and the industrial revolution beginning in the middle of the 1700s. Essays and articles To help stimulate this great awakening of intelligence and consciousness, since 1997, when I took early retirement from IBM s Nordic Software Development Laboratory in Stockholm, I have been writing many essays and articles, from one to a hundred pages, published on four websites, outlined in the next section. While the Big Picture has changed little during this period, the quality of my writings has much improved because I too have been passing through a profound awakening process, like millions around me. However, it has been a very bumpy ride, as my hopes to connect productively with my fellow human beings have frequently been dashed. That is what is, something to learn from as I progress along my psychospiritual path. For my relationship with my fellow human beings is still being governed by two behaviour patterns that were laid down in my psyche seven months before I was born. I have known about these tendencies since 1984, when I met David Wasdell in London, then working as a primal therapist. However, it takes the utmost vigilance and mindfulness to master these proclivities when faced with the turmoil of everyday life. As a highly sensitive man, with no armour plating to protect my vulnerabilities, I m not sure that I will ever be in complete mastery, not the least because I am like the insignificant waves and currents on and beneath the surface of the vast Ocean of Consciousness, from which I am never separate. With the invaluable assistance of Ella, my outer guru, I have taken great strides in this regard during the past few years. So I trust that the essays and articles I have written during this period are more accessible than my books, which are of the utmost breadth and profundity. Articles for the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics (2013) At the beginning of this decade, a new friend Pär, living three hours north of me in Sweden, offered to help me set up a new website to publish my work, which I eventually called Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics with the motto Harmonizing evolutionary convergence. As with my earlier efforts to set up a quite new type of social organism in the Age of Light, the website focuses on integrating the spiritual, scientific, and business dimensions of our lives in order to help bring about World Peace. -20-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science To explain what I mean by this, in 2013, I wrote three comparatively short articles on the Spiritual Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, and Sharing Economy emerging today, titled Recapitulating the Cosmogonic Cycle: Understanding Ourselves, Integral Relational Logic: The Art and Science of Consciousness, and The Sharing Economy: Transcending the Divisiveness of Money. The essence of the first article, 22 pages long, is very simple. If we are to come to terms with the imminent death of our species, we can only do so by healing the split between humanity and Divinity, opened up by the Abrahamic religions, living in union with the Immortal Ground of Being that we all share. As a trigger to such an awakening, the second half of this article outlines human phylogeny, as the 5,000-year patriarchal epoch with its twenty-odd civilizations gives way to the androgynous Age of Light. The second article is also 22 pages long and is also very simple. It provides a succinct description of Integral Relational Logic, showing how we can develop a rational system of thought that admits paradoxes because it is nonlinear and holographic. This art and science of consciousness thus shows how we could transform conflict-ridden, either-or ways of thinking into a harmonious, both-and approach to life, revealing the Authentic Self and True Identity that we all share the same, for identity derives from Latin idem same. The article on The Sharing Economy is fifty pages long, containing insights that I had not previously expressed in my books. It highlights the anthropologist A. M. Hocart s brilliant history of money, showing how it is closely related to the early religions, as our forebears struggled to come to terms with the inevitable deaths of our bodies. I have learnt to deal with this life-and-death situation from the developments in the data-processing industry in the 1970s and 80s. During this period, the data-processing manager from the 1950s and 60s became a Chief Information Officer (CIO) on a par with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), both reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as this diagram illustrates. But what is the relationship of the CIO, managing information, and the CFO, managing money? Well, money is a type of information and so can be represented in the semantic models developed by information systems architects. But this is not possible the other way round. The meaning of information, and hence its value, cannot be satisfactorily represented in the quantitative financial models of accountants, bankers, and economists. So by looking at the Universe, and hence society, as an interconnected information system, following the collapse of the banking system, we could theoretically cocreate the Sharing Economy, knowing that none of us is ever separate from any other being for an instant. Writing this article gave me a sense of closure on over fifty years of investigation into our economic affairs, which began in 1960, when I took a one-year course in macro- and microeconomics, in which the concept of money made no sense to me whatsoever. I thus regard monetary economics as a pseudo-science, completely detached from Reality. If economics is a science, it needs to be seen as a branch of psychology, like politics. Essays published in India ( ) In the noughties, David Lorimer, programme director of the Scientific and Medical Network in the UK, as the organizer of the Mystics and Scientists conferences, published a couple of articles of mine in journals that he was editing at the time. However, it was not until the next decade that a couple of friends in India published three of my articles in books that they were editing. These articles do not contain any new insights. They just present what I can see with my inner eye more succinctly than my books. -21-

Panosophical Bibliography The first friend was Ananta Kumar Giri, Professor at the Madras Institute of Development Studies, who I met in 2013 when he was visiting Sweden. Ananta invited me to write a 7,000-word essay on Mystical Pragmatics: Harmonizing Evolutionary Convergence for a book of essays on the theme of Spiritual Pragmatism and Spiritual Pragmatics, published in the January June 2014 issue of 3D IBA Journal of Development. In January 2018, I wrote a revised version of this essay, describing how I view the prospects for Mystical Pragmatics today, intended for a book to be published in the next year or two. The second essay on The Coherent Light of Consciousness: Awakening Self-reflective Intelligence was written for the First International Congress on Light and Lumenarchy: Cosmic Designs of the New World, which was to have been held in Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), India in November 2014, inspired by Henryk Skolimowski and organized by Vir Singh, Professor of Environmental Science at the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. Even though this congress did not take place, the essay was published in 2016 in a book titled Philosophy for Living in Evolution: Light, Life, Lumenarchy, and Lumenosophy. In 2015, Ananta was working on the theme of Transformative Harmony, which, he said, involves both compassion and confrontation, inspired by the Global Harmony Association in Russia, with which he was associated. Accordingly, he kindly invited me to write another essay for a book of essays he was editing. This is appropriately titled Revealing the Hidden Harmony: The Heart of Transformative Harmony, not yet published. Essays inspired by biopics (2015) At the end of 2014, two biopics of mathematical scientists, closely related to my own studies into the relationship of humans to machines and the Universe, were released. They were The Theory of Everything about Stephen Hawking, which won Eddie Redmayne an Oscar for best actor, and The Imitation Game about Alan Turing, which won Graham Moore an Oscar for best writing. To address the issues raised by these movies from a Holoramic perspective, in the winter of 2015 I took the opportunity to write a couple of essays titled, The Cosmic Equation: Unifying All Opposites and The Evolution of Universals: Being a Universal Human. In The Theory of Everything, Stephen told Jane, his future wife, when he first met her that he was a cosmologist, seeking one, single, unifying equation that explains everything in the universe. A few years later, when being awarded a Ph.D. for his extraordinary theory about a space-time singularity as a black hole at the origin of the universe, he told his professors that he was seeking, One simple, elegant equation that can explain everything. But What is the equation? Jane had asked Stephen when she first met him. That is the question. And a very good question. I m not quite sure yet. But I intend to find out, was his reply. The search for a simple equation that can explain everything goes back to Einstein s attempt to develop a unified field theory during the last thirty years of his life, in succession to Newton s f = ma and his own e = mc 2. Yet, a couple of years earlier, I had realized that the Principle of Unity, as the fundamental law of the Universe, could be expressed in the notation of mathematical logic, showing the primary-secondary relationship between pairs of opposites, like Hegelian and Peircian logic. I call this equation the Cosmic Equation, where A is any being, W is any whole, is union, and is not: W = A = A A This I explain in a short essay, showing how the Cosmic Equation offers a novel approach to the ageold question, Why have we humans suffered so much for so long? It shows how the Hidden Harmony -22-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science can heal our fragmented, split minds, ending the sense of separation so many have felt for thousands of years during the conflict-ridden patriarchal epoch. The title of the second movie derives from Turing s proposal in a paper he wrote for the philosophical journal Mind in 1950 for an imitation game to test the hypothesis that machines can think independently of human involvement. In the movie, Turing explained the game by saying that it is a test of sorts for determining whether something is a machine or a human being. There is a judge and a subject. The judge asks questions and depending on the subject s answers determines who he is talking with or what he is talking with. For myself, I have reversed this game by conducting a thought experiment in which I imagine that I am a computer that has the task of solving the ultimate problem of human learning, as I have mentioned. The essay The Evolution of Universals: Being a Universal Human then explains how the abstractions of mathematical logic, which led Turing to create a Universal Machine, can be further generalized in a Universal Human, which Barbara Marx Hubbard calls Homo universalis. The evolution of universals since Plato s Republic has thus led to the Ultimate Universal as the Supreme Being, unifying the concepts of God and Universe, which I set out to do as a seven-year-old. Psychospiritual essays ( ) As Integral Relational Logic has evolved from both holographic mathematical logic and mystical psychology as sciences of the mind in the summer of 2016 and the winter of 2017, I wrote two extended essays on some of the psychological implications of completing the final revolution in science. For while the unprecedented rate of evolutionary change we are experiencing today has resulted in a host of new technologies in our outer worlds, these changes are actually taking place in the psyches of scientists and technologists, with the rest of the population both delighting and despairing at the changes being brought about. Furthermore, they are not only unprecedented in human history; they mark the most momentous turning point in fourteen billion years of evolution since the most recent big bang. The global crisis engulfing human society at the moment is psychospiritual in origin and so needs to have an unprecedented psychospiritual remedy. We need to understand what is going on within us if we are to intelligently adapt to these post-accumulation Point times, realizing our fullest potential as humans, far above the capabilities of our machines. The great challenge here is that what we humans have learnt about our inner worlds during the past 10,000 years is not sufficient to help us get through the next ten years, never mind the next one hundred. Yes, over the years, seekers have developed many concepts as maps or mental images of their inner worlds, expressed in a multitude of different languages. But these are very far from forming a coherent whole. Furthermore, there is a general attitude in society that only those with some form of psychological disturbance, recognized by psychiatrists, as healers of the mind, need to look inwards. Many are quite content to go about their lives having little understanding of why they think and behave in the way that they do. We can see how to begin to solve this problem with a picture of a mandala, often used as a symbol of psychological healing in depth psychology. For a mandala, a Sanskrit word meaning disk, circle, is a circular figure representing Wholeness or the Universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. Indeed, taken out of their psychotherapeutic environment, mandalas can be geometric objects of much beauty, such as -23-

Panosophical Bibliography this Harmony Mandala, drawn by Vikki Reed of Arizona in 2005, integrating symbols from nine different cultures from East and West. To denote that these psychospiritual essays are focused on healing the fragmented mind in Wholeness, I placed this Harmony Mandala on the front cover of the two essays I wrote a year or two ago, titled The Art and Science of Panosophy: Evolution s Glorious Culmination and The Psychodynamics of Society: From Conception to Death, 100 and 80 pages long, respectively. As Panosophy is another name for the Theory of Everything as the transdiscipline of all knowledge the first essay is an expression of the solution to the ultimate problem of human learning from a psychospiritual rather than a mathematical perspective. Its basic premise is that normal human behaviour is pathological, as Erich Fromm pointed out in The Sane Society in 1956, as a successor to The Fear of Freedom (Escape from Freedom in the USA), written in the middle of the Second World War. Fromm began his studies into our grievously sick society by building on the ideas of Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud. However, in To Have or To Be?, his greatest masterpiece in 1976, he turned to the mystics, particularly Meister Eckhart and Shakyamuni Buddha s Four Noble Truths, for a solution to our malaise. Most significantly, he said that if we are to avoid psychological and economic catastrophe, we need a Humanistic Science of Man as the basis for the Applied Science and Art of Social Reconstruction. Panosophy is the art and science of humanity that Fromm called for over forty years ago. This shows that the root cause of our psychological disturbances is ignorance and denial of the Hidden Harmony, the fundamental law of the Universe, which shows that opposites are never separate from each other in Reality. Accordingly, another major theme of this essay is Carl Gustav Jung s healing process of individuation, much inspired by Taoism, alchemy, and Nicholas of Cusa s coincidentia oppositorum, as a definition of God. Visualizing that the 2020s are likely to be the most tumultuous period in human history, this essay also explores the possibility of cocreating the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics, as a successor to Comenius endeavours to set up a Pansophic College in London in However, in the event, the English Civil War broke out and his proposal for an Academy of Universal Wisdom and Light did not take off. This was a pity, for as Matthew Spinka, Comenius biographer, wrote in 1943, Were the grandiose project accomplished in our day, what a boon it would be! But alas! the world is still waiting for its realization, and we seem to be further away from it than ever. If this wonderful awakening is to happen, we need to bring into consciousness our very earliest preand perinatal experiences, as Stanislav Grof presents in The Holotropic Mind and the Future of Psychology. So at the end of this essay, I outlined the psychospiritual origins of Panosophy, which emerged in consciousness to heal a cataclysmic prenatal trauma. But this essay was not enough. In January 2017, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moved the Doomsday Clock to two and half minutes to midnight (two minutes in 2018), as humanity faces increasing imminent danger from existential risks. Furthermore, with the world degenerating into more and more chaos, it became ever more urgent that we complete the final revolution in science by So I set out to write an essay on the The Psychodynamics of Society: From Conception to Death from both a phylogenetic and ontogenetic perspective. I was particularly concerned with exploring further the effects of trauma on human behaviour, establishing mystical psychology as the primary science. For in this way, we can show why the collective, cultural, and personal traumas we humans have suffered through the ages still affect the way we live our lives today. -24-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science To explain my own healing process, in particular, I explored the history of pre- and perinatal psychology from Thomas Browne in the 1600s, through Freud, Otto Rank, Nandor Fodor, and Francis J. Mott, to the First International Congress on Pre- and Perinatal Psychology held in Toronto in July Thomas S. Verny tells us in the Introduction to Pre- and Perinatal Psychology, a book of papers presented at the conference, that it was convened because established psychological associations in North America and worldwide refused to deal with the psychological issues arising from conception, pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. The aim of the conference was to lay the foundation for the systematic study of pre- and perinatal psychology, recognizing that these pioneers were standing on the frontiers of a new science of the mind. For, as Michel Odent said at the conference, Our species cannot go on destroying itself and destroying the earth, the oceans, the atmosphere. To create a new world we have to create another human being who will have a maximum capacity to love. Introductory articles ( ) Having written a collection of books, essays, and articles on Panosophy, consisting of over a million words and many diagrams, towards the end of 2016 I felt strong enough inwardly to see if I could find anyone to work with me to set up the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics, necessary to complete the final revolution in science. So I began to write some short articles in response to what was happening in my outer world, rather than my inner guru calling me to write about Wholeness from the Source. The first of this series of articles (without endnotes) was inspired by Extinction Dialogs: How to Live with Death in Mind, which a friend and neighbour had told me about. The dialogue is between Carolyn Baker, a psychotherapist and historian, and Guy McPherson, the foremost authority on abrupt climate change, having been invited to write this book by Andrew Harvey, a well-known spiritual teacher. Faced with the imminent extinction of our species, both Carolyn and Guy could see that we can only prepare for the inevitable by being free of the tentacles of empire, much as Fromm had been saying for many years. So I called the article I wrote in response The Sane Society. The book was a life-changer. I had known since 1982, when I was helping to design and implement a management accounting system in Kuwait, that Homo sapiens would become extinct much sooner than most people were willing to contemplate. But now I was no longer alone. I could begin to talk about an existential issue that I had kept mostly hidden for thirty-five years. The next article was partly inspired by Lorenz B. Puntel s Structure and Being: A Theoretical Framework for a Systematic Philosophy, which Alan White translated into English, himself writing Toward a Philosophical Theory of Everything: Contributions to the Structural-Systematic Philosophy. Alan White points out that a theory of everything cannot be developed within physics with its restricted domain of discourse. It is only possible to develop such a coherent body of knowledge within an unrestricted domain of discourse, which he claims for philosophy. Yet philosophy is still a specialist discipline, lying in the No-man s Land between science and theology, as Bertrand Russell delineated it in A History of Western Philosophy. So I took the opportunity to write a 16-page introductory article on Panosophy titled Intelligently Adapting to Our Rapidly Changing World, showing how Panosophy also relates to Ken Wilber s AQAL and Ervin Laszlo s Akashic paradigm. The next article Standing outside Ourselves was inspired by The Nature of Consciousness by Rupert Spira, who I had met at a select symposium in Scotland in 2010 on Consciousness and Nonduality. This 19-page article begins with the diagram on the first page of this bibliography, showing how it satisfies -25-

Panosophical Bibliography Rupert s vision of a civilized culture in which all branches of knowledge are founded upon the recognition of the eternal, infinite nature of Awareness. That is exactly what Panosophy offers, although I use the word Awareness as the union of Self-reflective Intelligence and Cosmic Consciousness, the latter providing the coherent light to enable the former to view the Universe holographically. The next article on Unifying Inner Science and Outer Science was inspired by Thomas Hübl s announcement that his Academy of Inner Science was starting a graduate programme designed to foster the dialogue, fertilisation and research of the inner (contemplative) sciences and the outer academic sciences together. The approach of the AIS-Graduate Program is to overcome the gap between inner and outer sciences through mutual respect, dialogue between inner and outer science, and development of a common language. That is exactly what Panosophy does, hence the 8-page article, still without a response. In 2017, I also wrote two articles on Awakening Self-reflective Intelligence: The Eyesight of Consciousness inspired by the many claims being made by computer scientists that they are about to build machines with artificial general intelligence that would replace many jobs currently being performed by humans with machines. The first in March is just two pages, while the October one is 32 pages long, providing a somewhat more technical overview of the relationship of humans with superintelligence and machines with so-called superintelligence. Websites As it is difficult to find anyone able and willing to help me publish my writings as a whole, since I took early retirement from IBM in 1997, I have been publishing my writings on the Internet on four websites using three evolving generations of web technology. My more mature writings, outlined in this bibliography, are available on the website for the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics. The Alliance is an attempt to realize a dream that I have had since I was a small boy that one day we could cocreate a harmonious society living in Love and Peace. After I discovered in the early 1980s that the root cause of conflict and suffering is our ignorance and denial of the Hidden Harmony, unifying all opposites has been the main focus of my attention. In social terms, I began this endeavour in 1986 with my Norwegian wife Berit, who I had met the previous year at The Other Economic Summit (TOES) in London. At the time, Berit was in the process of creating her own organization called Centre for Peace and New Social Thinking. So we set out to prepare a prospectus for the Paragonian Institute, subtitled Centre for Peace and Human Growth, with the motto Serving the Whole. The aim was to overcome the problem of fragmentation by recognizing that Wholeness is the union of all opposites. The Paragonian Institute did not take off, essentially because the time was not right for it to do so. Nevertheless, continuing to pursue the dream, in 2005 I set up a website for what I then called the Paragonian Foundation, designed by the friend who had designed my book The Paragonian Manifesto the year before. I envisaged the Foundation in three sections Paragonian University, Paragonian Fellowship, and Paragonian Business Academy, covering the scientific, spiritual, and economic aspects of our lives together, together with Paragonian Publications to publish books and journals on our activities. mysticalpragmatics.net ( ) Once again, this project was too ambitious and revolutionary to take off. However, the Universe continued to inspire me to go out to the world with whatever wisdom has come my way. So encouraged -26-

Completing the Final Revolution in Science by my friends Pär and Ananta, in 2014 I set up a new website for the Alliance for Mystical Pragmatics with a much improved structure. With the motto Harmonizing evolutionary convergence, the three main arms of the Paragonian Foundation became more actively focused, seeking to integrate the global movements of Spiritual Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, and Sharing Economy, as prerequisites for World Peace, illustrated here in this flattened tetrahedron. Two years later, I wrote a 28-page brochure for the Alliance, a major revision of the booklet I wrote in the depths of the Norwegian winter of 1987 for the Paragonian Institute. As this bibliography indicates, a major purpose of the Alliance is to complete the final revolution in science, not only establishing psychology as a coherent science, but also as the primary science, on which all humanities and sciences are built. This will happen when evolution becomes fully conscious of itself, which Barbara Marx Hubbard calls the Second Great Event in the history of the universe, the first being Self-reflective Intelligence Cosmic Consciousness Divine Love Creative power of Life the most recent big bang, which supposedly brought it into existence. This means, of course, that we cannot bring this miracle about by basing the future of our species on the past. Evolution can only become fully conscious of itself within us human beings when we start afresh at the very beginning, invoking the primal Cosmic, Divine energies of Divine Love, Cosmic Consciousness, Self-reflective Intelligence, and the creative power of Life, arranged in this diagram, corresponding to the four constituents of the Alliance. With World Peace as the ultimate purpose, the intention is to focus the activities of the Alliance on Project Heraclitus, with the motto Revealing the Hidden Harmony, enabling us to live intelligently and consciously in harmony with the fundamental law of the Universe: opposites are never separate in Reality. Project Heraclitus will be organized into three subprojects, Project Agape, Project Aditi, and Project Arjuna, with the mottos Healing the split, Awakening Self-reflective Intelligence, and Transcending the Divisiveness of Money, respectively. Project Agape reflects the Greek word agapē, used by Christian writers in the New Scientific Revolution Testament to mean Divine Love. Aditi is the Divine Matrix, a symbol for Consciousness, as the mother of the Universe in the Rig Veda. In turn, Arjuna was the spiritual warrior in the Hindu classic Bhagavad Project Aditi Spiritual Renaissance World Peace Project Agape Project Heraclitus Sharing Economy Project Arjuna -27-

Panosophical Bibliography Gita, invoking time-honoured, both-and spiritual practices to deal intelligently with conflict-ridden, either-or politics. In setting up this website, I took the opportunity to express the entire cosmology of cosmologies in a sequence of short web pages on the Mystical Worldview that provides the Cosmic Foundation for all knowledge, which my friend Anne Baring has kindly quoted on her own website and at a talk she gave at Schumacher College in 2015 on Unified Field Physics and a New Vision of Reality. So the essence of what I have to say is incredibly simple, expressible in just a few words. Another major feature of the website is a Glossary of terms in Panosophy, changing the meanings of many words as they are presented in dictionaries today, showing their common ancestor in the Proto- Indo-European language as much as possible. There is still much to do here, sorting out a number of technical glitches, requiring skills in the Drupal content management system that I do not have. paulhague.net ( ) In 2017, encouraged by my friend Gary to reach out to the world through blog posts, I set up an eponymous website using the WordPress content management system, somewhat easier to use than Drupal. Also, my friend Ella has long encouraged me to write a book about my friends, the people like me who have been pioneers in their times, often questioning the assumptions of the cultures that they lived in. Rather than writing a book on these kindred spirits, I have written a series of fifteen pages on these pioneers, often acting as outsiders: Heraclitus, Johannes Kepler, Jan Ámos Komenský (Comenius), Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, George and Mary Boole, Ada Lovelace, Charles Sanders Peirce, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Carl Gustav Jung, Albert Einstein, Erich Fromm, Joseph Campbell, Arthur Koestler, and David Bohm. They do not include the many spiritual teachers I have followed over the years, the ones I feel closest to being J. Krishnamurti, Ramesh S. Balsekar, Vimala Thakar, and Osho. Returning to society When I wake up in the morning, I sometimes spend a couple of hours lying in bed in Stillness, enjoying the Bliss of Wholeness, feeling One with the Cosmos, with no divisions or borders anywhere. For why would I want to return to a fragmented society that is at war with itself, as exemplified by War of the Worldviews: Science vs. Spirituality, by Deepak Chopra and Leonard Mlodinow, co-author with Stephen Hawking of The Grand Design. However, my inner guru eventually spurs me to get up in order to explore the possibilities of completing the final revolution in science in social terms. I can best describe this endeavour in terms of an appendix to an autobiography that I wrote between 2002 and In 2008, I sat down to match my spiritual journey to the seventeen steps in Joseph Campbell s archetypical model consisting of three stages: Departure, Initiation, and Return. Having departed from the global economy in 1980, by the early years of this century, I felt that I had completed the final two steps in the second stage, which Campbell labelled Apotheosis and Ultimate Boon. However, the third stage Return to society has proven to be the most challenging. For we are nearing the death of Western civilization, as this cartoon from the Resurgence spiritual and ecological journal in 1996 indicates. -28-
