2 Annie Tiggett-Huff A The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Nurse Marie Baptisle for her loving care and attention as well as the staff at Hartford Hospital. -Family nnie Maude Tiggett-Huff completed her earthly journey on 01/15/2015. She was born July 5th 1937, in Richland, GA to the late Albert & Maude (Thompkins) Tiggett. Also affectionately known as sister and grandma. She was a home health care provider for over 14 years with US Healthcare, as well as an employee of Advo Mailing System. Annie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was the matriarch of the family. Annie lived in Sheldon Oaks for 43 years and she became everyone s grandma in the community. Her cooking and nurturing way will always be treasured by all those who met and loved her. There wasn t a person in Sheldon Oaks who wasn t touched by Annie s love and contagious smile. Grandma was always willing to help someone in need. She was cherished, loved and respected by everyone who knew her. Anyone whom came through the doors of Sheldon Street could pick up on grandma s good will, independence and love. Her presence will be missed sitting at the round table cutting coupons, reading the sales papers, drinking her coffee and being nosey peeking out her kitchen window. She leaves precious memories and a life time of laughter to daughter Julie A. Huff and son Jeffrey L. Huff, (Annette), both of Hartford, CT. She also leaves one sister, Marilyn Tiggett-Grant of Hartford, and one brother Robert Tiggett of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her husband Willie F. Huff, sons Willie F. Huff Jr, and A Celebration of Life

3 Messages from the Family Calvin Huff. Her daughter, Sharon A. Huff. Sister Thelma P. Tiggett. Brothers William L. Tiggett, Albert Tiggett Jr, Alvin (Peewee) Tiggett Jr, and King Tiggett. In addition, she also leaves two granddaughters, Lashawn Gadson of GA, Julie Muffin Huff of Hartford. Seven grandsons, Shawn, Myron, Montrell, Robert Huff and Kareem Gadson of Hartford. Jeffery Cupe (Le) of East Hartford. Willie F. Huff III, (Shantell), Leroy Haughton (Jabrielle) all of Hartford. Twenty six great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren and longtime friend Richard C Walker. A special devoted niece Gia Tiggett- Moody (Troy) and nephews Michael, Lonnell and Trevor Tiggett. Annie also leaves behind her extended family Javi Melendez, Calvin Tillman, Luis Alicea, David Rodriguez, Wayne Foster, Janice Bailey, Donna Gaston, Gary Little, Linda Ramos, and Monica Alvarenga. Finally, she will be missed by a countless number of family and friends. Poem We are now ushering in another day, Untouched and freshly new. We ask Dear Lord that You renew us too. Forgive us for the many errors We may have made yesterday. And help us to walk a little closer in your way. For we are well aware that we can not make it on our own. For My Aunt My aunt is to me the greatest person in this world, one of a kind and one in a million. She has the biggest heart with the most caring touch, which she shares with so many of us. Her soul is made of pure love, Yet she s worth way more than gold. In my eyes, she will always be, The most beautiful person to walk the earth. To me she s the smartest woman I know, and it truly does show. There is no one that compares to her, no one that even comes close. I appreciate all the advice she has given me, I take it in with immense gratitude. The memories I will forever cherish, For they are priceless. For all she has done, I will forever be thankful, and my love for her only grows more each day that passes. On a high pedestal is where I hold her, for I admire her so much more than she knows. Having her a part of my life is the greatest gift of all, Being in her presence is God s blessing to me. Looking deep inside of her, I see that strong, wise woman I hope to become. Giving, helpful, loving, caring, and kind, is what defines her. She is not only my favorite Aunt but she is my role model, and to be like her, would be my only wish. Love, Gia A Celebration of Life

4 Thank you Grand Ma, From an infant to a lady, you have always been my rock. Rather it was showing me how to clean collard green, pick string beans, or a simple talk at the round table. I THANK YOU. I THANK YOU for teaching me how to raise my daughter to be a strong, independent, and a loving young lady. Although I wasn t ready to give you up I understand God needed you more than I did. I put my selfish thoughts to the side remembering ALL you have done. Love you forever more, Muffin Paying homage to grandma who has always been there for me and is now watching over me from heaven. She taught me to live with love, and for that I am eternally grateful. grand ma, A baby cradled in your arms Teaching me your gentle charms. Growing up with you by my side Learning from you never to lie. To understand and not judge too Love and kindness I also learned from you. Through the years you watched me grow Teaching me everything I d need to know. Listening to every word I ve said... And every word I ve wrote you ve read. You ve been there for me to the end Until the day for you, God did send. Now you watch me from up above Shining down on me your heavenly love. Then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face, he put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest. A heart of gold stopped beating, two shiny eyes at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the greatest. God knows you had to leave us, but you didn t go away alone, for part of us went with you, the day he took you home. To some you ll be forgotten, and to others just a part of the past. But to us who loved and lost you, your memory will always last. I love you so much grandma forever in my heart. I never knew the strength and bond a grandchild could share with their grandmother until I met you and the rest of the Huff /Tiggett family. You made me feel like family from the first time we met.
