1 COLONNADE NEWSLETTER September C A T O O S A C I R C L E R I N G G O L D, G A Colonnade Newsletter Back Alley Productions is proud to bring Arthur Miller's classic drama All My Sons to The Colonnade stage. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, 12, 18 and 19. There will also be a 1:00 p.m. matinee on Sept. 19. The show is produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. The production, which secured Miller as a preeminent Broadway playwright and earned him his first Tony Award, is inspired by actual historical events during World War II. All My Sons is set in a small corner of the Midwest just after the brutality and horror of WWII. The play follows the Keller family parents Joe and Kate and their son Chris who are coping with or denying the loss of another son, Larry, who went missing during the war and is presumed dead. Joe Keller, the father of the family, is equally haunted by his troubled business, which produced airplane parts for the war effort. When some defective products were shipped out ultimately causing the accidental deaths of several pilots Steve Deever, Joe's business partner, was found guilty at trial and went to prison. Joe went free, but many people still suspected his part in the negligence. The troubled past remains dormant for many years, but when Chris invites Ann - Steve Deever's daughter and Larry Keller's former sweetheart - to town with the intent of proposing marriage the family is forced to confront the past. The past comes to a head when George, Ann's brother, arrives with a story blaming Joe for shipping out the defective parts. With a fragile engagement in the balance and the family s history exposed bare, Chris is forced to truly examine the question of his father's guilt for the first time. The Keller family may never be the same. At its heart, All My Sons examines the nature of guilt, and asks the audience to explore to what extent ends justify means. Due to some mild language and dark subject matter, the performance may not be suitable for all ages. Tickets for these performances are for reserved seats and may be purchased online at colonnadecenter.org, by phone at , or in person at The Colonnade Box Office. Ticket prices range from $8 to $12. Storyteller Productions to hold Auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever The Best Christmas Pageant Ever has been called "An American Classic" by McCall's magazine and "One of the best Christmas stories ever - certainly one of the funniest" by The Seattle Times. 3 Back Alley Productions to hold Auditions for A Christmas Carol Back Alley Productions invites you to audition for a timeless retelling of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. The beloved holiday classic details the personal redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge, a cruel and wealthy miser who, with the guidance of three Christmas ghosts, relearns his humanity.
