The Lantern of Light, Burgess Hill Reflections on February CYPRUS HALL, CYPRUS ROAD, BURGESS HILL, RH15 8DX We saw a very high standard of mediumship at The Lantern with FEBRUARY 3RD PHIL MARTIN & MARIA RODRIGUEZ It was lovely to see Phil and Maria back at the centre, they come all the way from Maidstone to serve spirit and we were truly blessed with a wonderful demonstration, first by Maria who linked with a few in the congragation and then Phil working, it is great to see different mediums working sharing the platform and allowing spirit to work through them in a unique way. Messages of hope and upliftment. Thank you both for travelling a long distance to serve the centre and spirit. We look forward to seeing them again soon.

10 10TH PETULA STOWELL We had a very quiet evening, but we don t blame people for not coming out as outside it was like being on a fishing boat when the waves and the wind are at their highest. But we do thank those that supported us that night, and a wonderful evening we had with Petula and spirit. A beautiful message for one lady. Petula guide was giving a lot of encouragement and counselling to others in the congregation. One very special beautiful evening, Petula is one of our readers at our fayre on 15 th April 2018 in Hassocks Thank you Petual for joining the 2 world together. 17TH MARLENE WOOLGAR What a very special eveinig with Marlene, Marlene said that she was going to hire me out to chair various events as she loves working with us because of the energy. Lesleigh could see a reflection of a balloon in the upstairs window as said it looked like an alien, it was left over from a childrens party earlier in the day. We are sure people must think that Lesleigh is off her trolly sometimes, Marlene could see what she meant, then an enormous bang as it went too close to the light and burst, causing much laughter. Marlene had a wonderful evening as she allowed spirit to step into her shoes, a beautiful message for Lesleigh s mum with her husband and father coming through, the lightness on her face was beautiful. To receive a beautiful message from a loved one is very inspiring and heart warming. Thank you Marlene for your work tonight. 24TH MIKE WILLIAMSON Always lovely to share the platform with Mike, Although cold in the hall the love and warmth from spirit saw us through a beautiful demonstration from spirit. Very accurate messges from spirit. There was a great banter with Mike before the demonstration which raised the energy It is about energy when you work with spirit. People were in fine voice also Mike spoke to a lot of people afterwards about his books that he has written about spirit. Thank you Mike for your work tonight. Very strange energies, but we soon cleared that and after the meditation were ready for the service. A beautiful morning with Brian but the centre was quieter than normal thank you everyone for your love and thank you Brian for a beautiful service. Brian read from a piece of paper that came from a book which Lesleigh actually had with her, one she prepared earlier, to much laughter. Everything was just perfect; Brian s prayer resonated so much with the times And his reading and address were received positively. His messages were beautifully accepted. A beautiful Service Thank you Brian for your work this morning. Two ladies upon leaving were saying such beautiful humbling words to Lesleigh that you realise why you put something like this on. Many a time when you start to pack the car up on a freezing windy early morning with things

12 for the centre, the material for the curtains, the bag of bits to display the alter, the A board, the refreshments, getting ready on a cold morning when you would just like to rollover and go back to sleep, but no you have to make a 34 mile round trip to set up and welcome people for the meditation and the service, words like these two ladies gave make it all worthwhile; knowing that you are serving spirit and the community for 12 years in Hassocks is a positive way. Thank you Spirit. JOIN US ON *****FACEBOOK: HASSOCKS SPIRITUAL-CENTRE***** Malcolm s & Lesleigh s Diary: Reflections on February EAST GRINSTEAD SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY, THE OLD COURT HOUSE, EAST COURT, COLLEGE LANE, EAST GRINSTEAD, WEST SUSSEX RH19 3LS SUNDAY 4 DIVINE SERVICE WITH SPIRIT ART We were invited to be the first mediums to reopen this church, what an honour; this was the first church that we ever served when we started working for spirit. This is a new start and a new name for this church; it is wonderful to see this beautiful church reopen. With so many of our churches and centres closing due to lack of support it is wonderful to see the people that have been involved in the church before, bringing it back to life. It was wonderful to see the support of the congregation, who truly want still to be part of the spiritual movement. During the world healing part of the service Lesleigh was given a picture that she has of the world and spoke to the chairperson afterwards and asked if they would like a copy. Lesleigh also wrote the poem about the Earth on a picture of the world and sent it over to him. A beautiful service of spirit communication with a beautiful channelled reading and an inspiring address. Malcolm then linked with a few in the congregation and Lesleigh did a couple of drawings. may this spiritual community grow in numbers and be an oasis in East Grinstead for those who are searching, looking forward to visiting the church again. 13 SUNDAY 4 DIVINE SERVICE WITH SPIRIT ART A lovely welcome from the committee of the church and it was wonderful as the reading went with the hymns and the address just slid into the service beautifully, spirit when we listen guide the chair person and the medium to choose these items so the service becomes extra meaningful. Malcolm did a few messages and Lesleigh a couple of sketches which were acknowledged. Information that is given to you from spirit is always there to guide and assist you and for you to understand that life is eternal. A beautiful service of spirit communication Thank you PORTSMOUTH PROGRESSIVE SPIRITUALIST CHURCH 2 VIVASH ROAD PORTSMOUTH HAMPSHIRE PO1 1PR WEDNESDAY 14 SERVICE WITH SPIRIT ART A very small church with a very big heart. The weather was absolutely chucking it down and traffic was dreadful, but we phone through to the church so say the situation, they delayed the service until we arrived which was only a few minutes after start time. Lesleigh did a reading which was for women but said it could be for men as well, Malcolm s address which followed was very direct and people were absorbing the address the chairperson said you could have just been speaking to me, a lot of guidance from spirit. Malcolm did a few messages and Lesleigh a couple of drawings, Lesleigh used the lectern as her easel was broken, the drawings and information were acknowledged, And as a bonus we won a raffle prize. Thank you spirit. CRAWLEY SPIRITUALIST CHURCH, CAPEL LANE, GOSSOPS GREEN CRAWLEY WEST SUSSEX RH11 8HL SUNDAY 18 SERVICE WITH SPIRIT ART It is always a pleasure to serve Crawley church, we are always given a warm welcome. Lesleigh had done previously done a drawing which was ed across to the president of the church as Lesleigh felt the drawing was so like her, it happened to be her mother. Lesleigh spoke to her afterwards and was told the story of the mother. Once in the spirit world people realise the error of their ways and come back for forgiveness. Once you can do this for them and for you, you can move on with your lives. We are the sum total of how we have been brought up in life.

14 Please read the poem at the end of the newsletter. A very interesting evening. The reading and address was very meaningful and people were speaking to Malcolm about it. Malcolm then linked with a few in the congregation, bringing forward interesting evidence of proof of survival. Lesleigh did a couple of drawings, one was take straight away and the second no one was talking, Malcolm is never wrong when he is guided to assist spirit in placing the drawing, but because the lad was unable to accept the info or so he thought I worked with who was talking to me. Spirit work with our voices that is why we ask you to speak to us. So this lady was his great grandma stepped aside and allowed someone else to come through. it was only the second time of visiting the church, but it is understanding the mechanics of mediumship which helps people to understand how to work with the medium? Lesleigh sent him the photo of the drawing so I hope that it will be accepted in the way that spirit can assist you and your family. Bless him he didn t know the person but when he took it home and showed his mum she confirmed who it was. He told Lesleigh an interesting story that actually went with the drawing. The info was also accepted Lesleigh did work with this lad afterwards and brought forward more info which he was amazed at. I am sure the whole family will be visiting the church, the dangling carrot has been eaten. Thank you spirit. SEAFORD SPIRIT INDEPENDENT SPIRITUALIST CHURCH, 3, WARWICK ROAD, SEAFORD, EAST SUSSEX BN25 1RS DIVINE SERVICE WITH MALCOLM PUTLAND A lovely warm welcome is a given at this church. A beautiful evening with a number of the congregation commenting on the reading and address being very pertinent to them. Several really interesting messages were given and received with enthusiasm and some tears, It s usually the pets that do it. Thank you spirit for your guidance tonight in making this all possible. BROTHERHOOD GATE SPIRITUALIST CHURCH 21C. ST JAMES STREET BRIGHTON EAST SUSSEX BN2 1RF SUNDAY 25 SERVICE WITH SPIRIT ART We used the sanctuary downstairs as mum was with us And cannot make all the stairs, but how intimate it was.

15 Mum was sat next to a friend and then with empty seats before anyone else arrived A young lad sat next to mum. He was talking to her, sharing his problems, now we know why, mum was trying to help him with her words. We had a very busy service with words of wisdom coming from Lesleigh s chosen reading and Malcolm s address on it, after the service the committee were discussing it in the kitchen. The address and the reading is a message for everyone. Malcolm then went to link with a few in the congregation and Lesleigh did one drawing a full colour portrait. The young lad who was sitting next to mum acknowledged the drawing and the information it was his first time at the church And his message was all about healing. Lesleigh really hopes that he comes back to the church for some healing. Thank you Spirit for using us tonight. Let me see now, Mmmm, (metaphorically scratches chin) you want to know about balance? Well here are a few thoughts for your consideration! Some say life itself is like walking a tight rope, a wobble here, a wobble their and all of a sudden your balance is lost and you plunge headfirst into oblivion. Rather an extreme attitude you might think, and you would be right of course. Whilst you may lose your balance when walking the tightrope of life it is extremely unlikely that the consequences will be so dire. Balance my friends is one of your life lessons. Balance in everything is what you should strive to achieve

21 . Nothing to extremes. The path is then straightened out and smoothed off. I refer here to the path that leads to your ultimate spiritual goal of your current existence on this planet Earth. Imagine the tight rope of life being peppered with large knots. Each knot is an obstacle caused by extremes of action and thought. You could say from a Health and Safety point of view that these would be a major trip hazard wouldn t you? And again you would be right! Do yourselves a favour therefore when putting your best foot forward along the rope, look down to check that there are no knots. If you see such knots, give consideration to why they are there. Are these due to negative thoughts and actions? Think carefully, they generally are. With such consideration you are then able to correct such thoughts and magically you will find that these knots disappear and the way forward again becomes smooth and unencumbered. Balance will be achieved, the wobble will be rectified and you will move forwards. So there you have it. It s really straightforward. Most people don t ever give consideration to the matter of balance and therefore the whole of their life is spent wobbling from one obstacle to the next without thought of any kind as to why this is occurring. Balance is a matter of common sense. All of you have this, even if you don t realise it. Life is a knotty problem for most of you, but with balanced thinking and subsequent balanced actions, overall balance will be achieved, then maintained and the wobble free existence will be yours. Nothing too difficult here, with a little practice. And I ve said this before, practice makes perfect! Here ends today s lesson. Be rest assured that I love you all.
