PRIMERS Freedom from the Known Ever since it was published in 1969, this book has rightly been regarded as a primer on Krishnamurti s teachings, and has always been one of the best-sellers. Here we have for the first time a synthesis what Krishnamurti has to say about the human predicament and the eternal problems of living. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.187+vi Price : Rs.100 The First and Last Freedom The first considerable book to have been published in response to demands from all over the world for a comprehensive book that would convey the main aspects of Krishnamurti s teaching. The focal point of all his teaching is that each individual can solve the central human problem in only one way for and by himself. Foreword by Aldous Huxley. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp. 264+iv Price : Rs.120 2

PUBLIC TALKS On Self-Knowledge The first volume in a series titled Selections from the Decades ; it begins with the year 1947, a year that marked a milestone both in India s destiny and in the unfoldment of Krishnamurti s teachings. Here, apart from addressing contemporary issues, Krishnamurti takes us, step by step, on the journey of discovering ourselves. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.136+vi The Revolution from Within The second volume in the series Selections from the Decades, covering the talks given between 1952 and Here Krishnamurti s focus is primarily on a radical change in every human being. He says the attempt to change oneself in not a mere psychological exercise but also a religious act; it is not just a matter of digging into oneself endlessly, but also remaining open to that which he calls Truth or Reality. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.246+vi Price : Rs.140 The Nature of the New Mind The third volume in the series Selections from the Decades, this book consists of twenty-three public talks that Krishnamurti gave between 1961 and Whereas in the 1950s, he dwelt largely on individual change, his focus here is on a radical mutation in human consciousness as a whole. Krishnamurti points out that the present crisis is not just what we perceive outwardly in society; it really lies deep within oneself. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.277+vi Price : Rs.140 The Flight of the Eagle Reports of 12 talks and discussions held in 1969 in London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Switzerland. The solution of a problem lies in the understanding of the problem; the answer is not outside the problem, it is in the problem. One cannot look at the problem very clearly if one is concerned with the answer. Most of us are so eager to resolve the problem without looking into it, says Krishnamurti. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.180+iv Price : Rs.120 3

PUBLIC TALKS The First Step is the Last Step The first step is to perceive perceive what you are thinking, perceive your ambition, perceive your anxiety, your loneliness, your despair, this extraordinary sense of sorrow. Perceive it without any condemnation, justification, without wishing it to be different, says Krishnamurti in these talks given in New Delhi, Madras, Bangalore, and Bombay during ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.286+x Price : Rs.150 Beyond Violence Violence, Krishnamurti says, is like a stone dropped in a lake: the waves spread and spread; at the centre is the me. As long as the me survives in any form, very subtly or grossly, there must be violence. The book contains authentic reports of talks and discussions in 1970 in Santa Monica, San Diego, London, Brockwood Park (England) and Rome. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.186+vi Price : Rs.120 The Network of Thought In these seven talks given in Saanen, Switzerland, and two in Amsterdam in 1981, Krishnamurti likens the conditioning of the mind to the programming of a computer. The I, the ego, is no more than the selfhood of a programmed network of thinking. Freedom means to be free from the programme which has been imposed on the brain. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.110+vi Price : Rs.120 4

PUBLIC TALKS The Flame of Attention This selection of Krishnamurti s public talks has been made from a series given in India, England, Switzerland and the USA in 1981 and He affirms that when the true nature of the activity of the psyche is clearly observed and understood, the thinking process ceases to be dominant; its function is serve man s need only at a functional level. Such understanding is pure intelligence. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.150+iv Facing a World in Crisis: What Life Teaches Us in Challenging Times Krishnamurti held that people must look at the state of the world, with all its violence and conflict if they are ever to understand themselves. To turn away from world events was for him not to be alive to what life has to teach. This book presents a selection of talks that he gave on how to live in and respond to troubling and uncertain times. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.188+xii That Benediction is Where You are: The Last Bombay Talks Consists of the last series of four public talks given in Bombay in The talks are remarkable for the unusual perspectives and nuances that Krishnamurti offers on the psychological issues he deals with. The last talk ends on a deeply religious note with his observation: If you give your heart and mind and brain, there is something that is beyond all time. And there is the benediction of that. That benediction is where you are. ISBN: X Size : Crown, pp.80+xvi Price : Rs.120 Mind Without Measure We compare ourselves with somebody who is more intelligent, more beautiful physically there is this constant measurement going on When there is no measurement, there is the silence of the negation of the self. There is no self in meditation, says Krishnamurti. The book contains a series of four talks each given in New Delhi, Calcutta, Madras, and Bombay during ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.134+vi Price : Rs.140 5

PUBLIC TALKS The Last Talks When Krishnamurti came to India in November 1985, he was in his ninety-first year. Despite his terminal illness, he visited the schools and also Vasanta Vihar in Madras to give public talks and participate in discussions. In his last talk, he inquires into the origin of life and says: Creation is something that is most holy, and if you have made a mess of your life, change it. Change it today, not tomorrow. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.100+xvii Magnitude of the Mind: Sri Lanka Talks 1980 The whole story of mankind is in you the vast experiences, the deep-rooted fears, anxieties, sorrow, pleasure, and all the beliefs that man has accumulated throughout millennia. You are that book, and it is an art to read that book, says Krishnamurti in this series of four talks. ISBN: Size : Pocket edition, pp.116+iv Price : Rs.50 Washington DC Talks 1985 In spite of many years of giving public talks in the US, Krishnamurti had not spoken in Washington DC. When he agreed to do so in April 1985, it was in a sense to a new audience, one to which in the compression of only two talks he wished to convey as much as his teaching as possible. At the age of ninety he spoke from the summit of his life and teachings. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.54+vi Price : Rs.25 6

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Questions and Answers Krishnamurti s answers to the several questions that his listeners posed form the content of this book. Though the questions were written out in advance, Krishnamurti never went through them till he took them up at the meetings he held in Brockwood Park, England, Ojai, California, and Saanen, Switzerland. He always points out that the solution to a problem lies in the problem itself. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.107+iv In the Problem is the Solution Question and Answer Meetings in India Consists of the 14 question and answer meetings that Krishnamurti held between 1981 and 1985 in Madras, Bombay, and Varanasi. The questions themselves are impressive in the range of themes they cover: the outward problems of poverty, corruption, and the decline of values; and the inner turmoil arising from psychological wounds, fear, sorrow, and lack of love; and the eternal questions about God and rebirth. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.183+x Price : Rs.150 7

The letters reveal a rare compassion and clarity: the teaching and healing unfold; the words flow; the healing and the teaching are simultaneous. 8

WRITINGS Krishnamurti s Notebook In this unique daily record of Krishnamurti s perceptions and states of consciousness (written over a period of seven months), we have what may be called the well-spring of his teaching the whole essence of his message, arising from its natural source. In no other book is he more succinct, more penetrating in describing the origins of his teachings than here where he talks of experiencing the immensity and the benediction. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.252+vii Price : Rs.190 Krishnamurti s Journal The entries in the Journal were made over a period of six weeks in 1973 and a month in Almost every entry begins with a description of nature followed by a passage of his teaching, revealing his consciousness from day to day. The book shows to what an extent his teaching was inspired by his closeness to nature. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.166+vi Krishnamurti to Himself: His Last Journal This book is unique in that it is the only one of Krishnamurti s publications which records words spoken into a tape-recorder while he was alone. Strangely, the last piece, and perhaps the most beautiful, is about death. It is the last occasion on which we shall ever hear Krishnamurti discoursing to himself; two years later he died. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.197+vi Price : Rs.120 Conversations In these 13 conversations, the reader is made aware of the depth and complexity of the human psyche its existential problems, emotional traumas and philosophical questions. The first five pieces open with descriptions of nature, the other eight are given the form of questions and answers. Krishnamurti s vision of life is all-encompassing, and makes no division between the worldly life and the religious life. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.72+ii Price : Rs.50 9

ANTHOLOGIES To Be Human The Introduction to this volume points out Krishnamurti's relevance to the individual and the social issues of today's world. Using The Core of the Teachings, an outline written by Krishnamurti, as the structure for the book, the editor takes the major aspects of the teachings and gives extensive quotations from Krishnamurti to expand upon such themes as: Is there such a thing as truth apart from personal opinion? In observation one begins to discover the lack of freedom. ISBN: x Size : Demy, pp. 206+xxvii Price : Rs.140 Meeting Life An anthology of materials taken from the Bulletins of the various Foundations. Part I of the book consists of 16 short pieces dictated by Krishnamurti; these are reflective pieces. 14 DIALOGUES & DISCUSSIONS Tradition and Revolution Consists of a series of dialogues on ancient Indian religious and philosophical themes. Man s search for liberation, his ideas about the spiritual path and the goal, and various traditional concepts are dealt with in contemporary idiom. Krishnamurti s concern is to bring out the experiential component behind these terms and to lead his listeners to the heart of the human predicament. These dialogues are a profound investigation into the nature of consciousness. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.254+viii Price : Rs.150 Explorations and Insights Consists of 14 out of the several dialogues that Krishnamurti held in India in the 1970s with his close associates, scholars, religious seekers, and others. These dialogues are not questions or answers or even an exchange of viewpoints. They form a genre of communication typical of Krishnamurti a tentative beginning, a refusal to arrive at quick solutions, and an exploration that leads to newer perceptions ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.362+vi Price : Rs.200 A Wholly Different Way of Living These 18 dialogues of Krishnamurti with Prof. Allan W Anderson of San Diego State University took place in Each dialogue covers one aspect or a problem of human existence. The way out of our difficulties, Krishnamurti states, can start only in the mind of each one of us, in an awareness of the way we actually perceive life, ourselves and others. ISBN: x Size : Demy, pp.270+vi The Transformation of Man: The Wholeness of Life The book, in three parts, begins with a series of discussions between Krishnamurti, Dr David Bohm, the well-known physicist, and Dr David Shainberg, a psychiatrist. Part II gives the substance of the public talks Krishnamurti gave in Ojai, California; Saanen, Switzerland; and Brockwood Park, England, during Part III consists of dialogues with a small group drawn from the Krishnamurti schools and Foundations. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.255 Price : Rs

DIALOGUES & DISCUSSIONS The Ending of Time Thirteen discussions between Krishnamurti and the wellknown physicist, Dr. David Bohm. They ask the question: Has humanity taken a wrong turn? Krishnamurti suggests that the wrong turn lies in our inability to face what we actually are and our need to impose instead an illusory goal of what we must become. Krishnamurti and Bohm return frequently to the need for a certain insight that is not restricted to limited areas like science or art. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp. 268+viii Price : Rs.150 The Future of Humanity The two dialogues in this book between Krishnamurti and physicist David Bohm begin with the question: What is the future of humanity? The dialogues point out that while modern technology is often blamed for having created immense havoc in the social structure, the root cause the destructive human tendencies has existed for all of recorded time. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp. 93+viii Price : Rs.50 Truth and Actuality The talks and dialogues in this book set out clearly the difference between reality (that which is man-made), actuality (that which is of nature) and truth (that which is beyond the two). The book opens with three discussions with well-known physicist David Bohm. Krishnamurti considers how man s consciousness has misconceptions about the me, or the ego. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.171 The Way of Intelligence Consists of a series of dialogues on ancient Indian religious and philosophical themes. The ideas of causality, of a guru as a spiritual guide, of the spiritual path and of the goal, of the search for liberation and right means thereto are all dealt with in a contemporary idiom. Krishnamurti s concern is to lay bare the experiential component behind these terms and to lead his listeners to the heart of the human problem. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.242+viii Price : Rs

DIALOGUES & DISCUSSIONS Questioning Krishnamurti Consists of 14 conversations with leading 20th century scientists, religious leaders, and thinkers, such as David Bohm, Jonas Salk, Iris Murdoch, Huston Smith, Renee Weber, Ronald Eyre, Walpola Rahula, and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. None of them could be called devotees, but were people who came to question Krishnamurti, which was something that he had during his life-time always urged his listeners to do. Can Humanity Change?: J. Krishnamurti in Dialogue with Buddhists Nearly all the conversations in this book start with the Buddhist scholar Walpola Rahula raising issues of crucial importance for a radical change in man. Many have considered Buddhism to be the religion closest in spirit to Krishnamurti s teaching. This record of an historic encounter between Krishnamurti and a group of Buddhist scholars provides a unique opportunity to see what the great teacher had to say himself about Buddhist teachings. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.256+xii Price : Rs.150 ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.224+vii Don t Make a Problem of Anything In these eight discussions, Krishnamurti goes deeply into the question of human problems, drawing, in the process, a most interesting distinction between the professional and the human being. He asks whether we do not regard ourselves as professionals first and as human beings afterwards. There is something here for everyone for those interested in a new kind of education, for the pundits in Vedanta or Buddhism, for those in the ordinary workaday world ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.286+xiv Price : Rs

THEME BOOKS On Fear This book examines, through excerpts from talks and dialogues, the theme of fear, which Krishnamurti points out needs to be seen at its root, not just in its many expressions. We have done everything we can with regard to fear. We have analysed it, gone into it, tried to face it, come into direct contact with it, resisted it, done everything possible, and the thing remains. Is it possible to be aware of it totally and yet not do something about it? ISBN: Size : Demy, pp. On Freedom Krishnamurti addresses the basic issues of freedom, from human rights in the political and social arena to the desire for freedom from wants, pursuits, ambitions, envies and ill-will. Freedom, according to Krishnamurti, is necessary for clarity of understanding. Freedom is to be without fear, he says. ISBN: Size : Demy, 152+x On Conflict Is it possible to live a life without conflict in the modern world, with all the strain, struggle, pressures and influences in the social structure? That is really living, the essence of a mind that is inquiring seriously. The question whether there is God or not can be understood only when the mind is no longer in conflict, says Krishnamurti in this book, which brings together the most significant excerpts on a theme that he dwelt upon frequently in his works. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.138+x On Living and Dying To understand death you have to understand life. But life is not the continuity of thought; it is this very continuity that has bred all our misery. So can the mind bring death from the distant to the immediate? Actually, death is not somewhere far away; it is here and now, says Krishnamurti in this theme book. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.142+viii 14

THEME BOOKS Choiceless Awareness A selection of passages from Krishnamurti s teachings, where he proposes that the current crisis is not social, political, economic or religious, but the direct consequence of our fragmented way of living: the fault is in our consciousness. What is our relationship to consciousness? What is the difference between awareness and introspection? In what way can choiceless awareness heal the division between the observer and the observed? ISBN: Size : 18 x 17 cm, pp.176 Price : Rs.140 On Love and Loneliness In this theme book, Krishnamurti distinguishes between love and sex, pleasure, attachment and dependency. He suggests that true aloneness to be whole denies loneliness, and that true relationship can come into being only when there is self-knowledge of the conditions that divide and isolate groups and individuals. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.156+x Social Responsibility Social reforms may be brought about through legislation or through tyranny, but unless the individual radically changes, he will always overcome the new pattern. It seems to me very important, then, to understand the total process of individuality, because it is only when the individual changes radically that there can be a fundamental revolution in society. ISBN: Size : 18 x 17 cm, pp.159 Price : Rs

ON MEDITATION Meditations A compilation of 52 passages, long and short, on the theme of meditation, with a Foreword by Krishnamurti himself. Each passage is intense and profound and compels inquiry and reflection. ISBN: Size : Half-crown. pp. 82+vi Price : Rs.100 This Light in Oneself: True Meditations The nature of human consciousness, man s inquiry into truth, the importance of being a light to oneself, and the true meaning of meditation, silence, enlightenment, and the sacred are the focus of this compilation. These excerpts from Krishnamurti s previously unpublished talks are remarkable for the rare and subtle perspectives they offer on these profound themes. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.134+viii 16

ON EDUCATION Life Ahead As the title suggests, this book is addressed to young people, and is the first collection of Krishnamurti s talks to students, teachers and parents. An Introduction by Krishnamurti focuses on his main concerns in education. The book covers a wide range of themes the danger of competition which breeds fear and prevents the mind from being fully receptive to experience; the value of solitude; and the difference between concentration and attention. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.204+iv Price : Rs.140 The Whole Movement of Life is Learning: Krishnamurti s Letters to His Schools This new edition of Krishnamurti's Letters to the Schools combines the letters originally published in Volume I (1981) and Volume II (1985) with 17 previously unpublished letters. Krishnamurti says: These letters are written seriously and, if you care to read them, read them with intent to study what is said as you would study a flower by looking at the flower very carefully. Live with it for some time, digest it so that it is yours and not the writer's. ISBN: Size : 21 x 15 cm. pp. 262+viii Price : Rs.160 Education and the Significance of Life Krishnamurti had a life-long interest in education, and this book is the earliest and most expository of his books on the subject. Focussing on the central vision that life has a wider and deeper significance and that it is the concern of education to come upon it, he explores various other connected themes authority versus freedom, discipline, intelligence, and the role of religion in education. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.120 Price : Rs.120 Talks with Students, Varanasi 1954 Contains authentic reports of Krishnamurti s talks and dialogues with students, held in Varanasi in January Fifteen of these talks were given at the Rajghat Besant School, which he had founded at the confluence of the Ganga and Varuna, and three at the Banaras Hindu University. Emphasizing that life is relationship, he says education must help the young to discover their right relationship with nature, with society, with knowledge, and with themselves. ISBN: Size : Demy. Pp.206+vi Price : Rs

Krishnamurti regards education as of prime significance in the communication of that which is central to the transformation of the human mind and the creation of a new culture. ISBN: x Size : Demy, pp.158+vi A Timeless Spring: Krishnamurti at Rajghat The book is a historical record of Krishnamurti s relationship to Rajghat on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi; it was a place where he founded a school and came every winter till his death in Rajghat s classical past, its philosophical and religious traditions, its extreme conservatism, the beauty of the countryside and the poverty of its villagers form the background against which Krishnamurti spoke. 22 FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS Think on These Things (Published earlier as This Matter of Culture) Chosen by Parabola magazine as one of the best 100 spiritual books of the 20th century. According to Krishnamurti, real culture is neither a matter of breeding nor of learning, nor of talent, nor even of genius, but is the timeless movement to find happiness, God, truth. This popular book comprises a series of talks and question and answer meetings with students and teachers at the Krishnamurti schools in India. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.278+vi Price : Rs.150 What Are You Doing With Your Life? This compilation brings together excerpts from Krishnamurti s books, and is the first anthology of its kind that offers the young a systematic approach to his vision of education and life. Krishnamurti s investigation of existential questions constitutes a most original and authentic contribution to the educational thought of the 20th century. ISBN: Size : Demy, pp.266 +xiv Price : Rs.150 Why are You being Educated? Talks at Indian Universities: Consists of six talks that Krishnamurti gave at Indian universities and the Indian Institutes of Technology between the years 1969 and His concern here is to awaken students to the fact that the pursuit of knowledge does not liberate man from his ignorance of himself. While knowledge is indispensable, it also creates the illusion that we have the intelligence to meet the challenges of life. ISBN: Size : Crown, pp.132+x Price : Rs

FOR THE YOUNG Krishnamurti for the Young (Three booklets for children, with illustrations) 1. What does Fear Do to You? 2. What does Freedom Mean? 3. What is it to Care? Krishnamurti was quite concerned about whether modern education prepares students to meet the challenges of life when they leave school. In his talks and discussions with young people all over the world, he pointed to various facets of life that the young would have to deal with, no matter where they lived and what career they pursued. A young reader may find the ideas in these booklets as striking and refreshing today as it was when Krishnamurti engaged the students in dialogues. Set of 3 books: Rs.100 Book 1 ISBN: Size : 16.5 x 14 cm, pp.28 Price : Rs.40 Book 2 ISBN: Size : 16.5 x 14 cm, pp.28 Price : Rs.40 Book 3 ISBN: Size : 16.5 x 14 cm, pp.32 Price : Rs Discover Your Hidden Talent 2. Have Strong Feelings 3. Does School Prepare You for Life? These booklets are meant to introduce young adults to Krishnamurti s new vision of education and life. Education has, no doubt, led to incredible technological progress, but it has failed to create a world where human beings can live in peace and happiness. The reason for this state of affairs is that it lays too much emphasis on the academic side of a student, but fails to nurture his emotional and psychological side. 20
